  • Most often overlooked aspect on any performance related engine the Proper Crankcase Evacuation and in order to lean towards that or achieve it?
    Understanding its cause and reasons will definitely help as we see most just copy or follow what they see in FB like just put a breather on the valve cover not realizing on continuous runs that oil drain is hindering its ability to breath out crankcase pressures from the bottom or block
    Here are links that relate to this and especially volumetric efficiency

Ever since i moved here in the philippines i got hooked in the honda scene and been wanting to build a b series eg ever since but all i can find in the forums about b swap in eg or ek chassis is that you need integra parts which is kind of rare here, i've been thinking can local crv axles be used as alternative? and what passenger side engine bracket to use because from what i've read, the b20b passenger side bracket is to "tall"

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  Před rokem +7

      We only see it on hard runs but it’s why the same kind of catchcan like T1 the 2 lower ones are for the block this way it drains it out when on idle…

This is caused by extreme piston speed, long camshaft timing events, and a PCV system that is completely inadequate at high throttle angles and low manifold vacuum levels.
      Many of today's large displacement B series engines are based on new blocks where Honda deleted the breathing "can" (on the rear of the block), causing these engines really suffer from extreme crankcase pressure (frequently high enough to rush past the seals, blowing the spark plug wires off the plugs.) Pressures like these cause oil and other contaminates to severely degrade the quality of the mixture in the cylinders, reducing power and greatly increasing the possibility of detonation."
