People Behind Power - Control Room Operator Melissa Anderson

Melissa Anderson helps ensure electricity is generated and available to power your life. Currently in year four of the City's five-year apprenticeship program, she is on her way to becoming a control room operator. A control room operator monitors the operations of the plant, which in Melissa's case is the Arvah B. Hopkins Generating Station. Melissa shared that the opportunities to grow along with the Utility make it exciting to come to work.

I've worked for 18 years as control operator since 2004 up to 2022 in a steam power plant . Finally I became a supervisor. Interesting job, wish you good luck.

Hai, im senior power plant Operator.. from 210mw sejingkat coal plant in malaysia.. started as trainee operator in 2003. I also are 1st engine driver competencies holder ( boilerman)
