So, by increasing consciousness & awareness. We can ensure that we become aware of our patterns, impulses, and ''expose'' the code we wrote/created. So, increasing karma makes is making one self more conscious, thus it becomes easier to guide ourselves, direct our intentions, listen to our intuition, see our personality clearer and it's thought patterns, and make it easier to be an aware, balanced, ethical thinking human being. Minimizing reactionary responses and impulses that our unconsciousness feeds us.
These type of questioned have been and answered several times by gurus and saint's but we indians were so busy in asking that we missed the answer itself . So they keep popping out now and then, still some day again any other person is going to ask it .

You might want listen twice or thrice, but for me this is significant what I heard, so true, the word "tendency" generates from "residual memory" of Karma or our action, something we all must at least aware of to decide where we want to drive our tendencies.

It's a great explanation, however it is not possible to have 100% of control over your life. So many things in life are beyond our control... For example you get on a bus, in this very moment your life depends on the ability of the bus driver. If he were to cause a crash there is nothing you - a passenger can do to avoid it.
Accident is a karmic "REACTION" to karmas...don't confuse between actions and reactions

it's just about taking karma in our ego.. if you've done something bad things and started to think about them then IT WILL START COUNTING AS A BAD KARMA. If you're not thinking about it at all then it will never ever count as Bad karma At all. The more you think, the more you're attracting bad karma.

this is a very simplistic answer and approach... thing are much more complicated....just think of Milarepa and how much he had to work to cancel his bad karma due to him killing all those people...
Therefor it's not just actions you do in relation to yourself but in relation to others as well.. certain action like hurting or killing many humans or animals can have such effects that you will have to suffer many lives and cycle of birth-death - rebirth until you came to a zero.
A very simplistic and diplomatic answer...and yes good actions cancel bad actions effects.

I think I finally get it. You do something and that thing becomes a tendency. It could be a strong tendency or a subtle one, but it’s always with you. Like smoking cigarettes for example is bad karma because it could lead you to smoking for the rest of your life.
