I have to agree with Viddal. When Jake VS Ksi is done. The hype of crossover goes down significantly. There are no mega fights to make after Jake VS KSI.

Tbh I also think the longer it drags; the harder it'll become for both JJ and Jake. The anxiety will just continue to build, especially with the pressure/expectations increasing.

I think it’s very simple. Misfits is trying to build potential mega fights with ksi after jake Paul is done. Salt papi being the poster boy. Because once ksi vs jake Paul is done. That is an end of an era. From the beginning, 3rd of February 2018 to ksi vs jake Paul, that’s gonna conclude this chapter and sealed once in for all
This is problem that the pro boxing scene has had for ages now, and what the influencer scene has been so sick at doing - getting the fights that the fans actually want to see to happen. JJ and Jake are making it long now. That’s why mma is the goat 🐐.

Yea it's up to the other fighters/promotors to create the future stars so that influencer boxing can continue to grow and be around long term.
KSI and Jake need to fight already. It's been dragging on too long, and the longer it goes, the longer people will lose interest. I mean people would still be satisfied to see it, but best to do it now while the hype and excitement are at its peak.

I think when the fight happens crossover might drop a bit in terms of interest as the big built up fight jj vs jake will be done but whoever wins will be a target for everyone else to build towards/if ksi vs Jake ends in decision the loser may feel as if they want a rematch aswell
Is it a case of where KSI vs Jake is the Pacquiao/Maywether fight we can only hope for something like Cordina vs Rhakimov, something that isn't necessarily a pull to the general public but to the fans was an amazing bout? Or could we recreate that mega fight feeling over years if the influencer boxing scene can last? E.g. when Tyson returned and had an incredible trilogy with Wilder or shock upsets like Joshua/Ruiz? There are levels to this how engaging can the fight be question

You guys are so real man and I pretty much agree with everything you guys said. KSI and mams are always talking about building up their fighters but they are do anything practical about it to help build them. Things like you guys said roster list and their weight, belt holders, a league on their website would be so useful. Also things like mini docs and in person face 2 faces would help, if Misfits wants this scene to last they need to work on their promotion tactics.
Bro jj shouldn't have to build the fighters they should build themselves. Jj never had anyone to build him up.
@@konan37 exactly, and now they have all been given a platform to facilitate that. Misfits and JJ cannot do all of that by themselves, that’s what essentially differentiates cross-over (formerly CZcams influencer) boxing from traditional boxing.

The ksi and jake fight is getting dragged out because of the contract. Jake doesn’t like the contract. Weight, hydration clause.. everything. you can tell on some of the tweets when they go back and forth. To me I think they should meet in the middle for weight with no hydration clause so neither one can give an excuse on why they lost and call it a day. One of these days a lot of people are going to get bored of it.
at the very least they are both young (in the game) and improving. The longer this goes the higher the level the fight would be skill wise
As an influencer boxning scene the influencers still need to be influencers and promote themselves alongside the promtion. Legit KSI, Salt Papi, Logan Paul, and others like them bring attention to themselves and the promotion because they post consistently.
I do agree they need to fight soon BUT difference is to real fighters leaving it too late. Real fighters go out their primes an fight. Jake an KSI are still learning, still progressing. They're only going to get better for possibly a better fight. If that makes sense, my opinion though.

The problem is also that there arent any new megastars in the influencer scene right now that can actually keep it going. They've all fallen off or retired. Back in 2018 there were so many big names but when you actually deep it theres no one anymore. I think they need to start going overseas now just like with Nunes. Thats the only way i see it continuing because the big streamers and youtubers today are all neeks and would never jump in the ring

ksi vs jake paul is just the finael of phase 1 of influencer boxing, there will be a period after where it simmers down but there will always and always emerge new superstars and the scene will keep evolving and ksi vs jake may well not even be the biggest fight we see, who knows what might happen in the next 5, 10, even 20 years. we need to be patient because this is literally just the birth and we are in a period where we see huuundreds of new competitors enter the scene every month looking to enter the ring in contrast to the beginning where it was more or less just ksi and joe weller and a few more testing it out on the undercards

It hasn’t been about a warmup for a while now, KSI expects the hype for influencer boxing to die down after he fights Jake, and wanted to hype his boxing organization (and it’s fighters) up before that happens. He was talking about a Jake fight in december but I’m assuming Jake’s loss to Tommy got him worrying about the hype around the fight earlier than expected

The only people that would care to watch that fight are youtube fans the boxing purists will call fury clown if he goes fighting youtubers so I see no way that it sells or generates as much money or hype as jake vs fury coz jake had all boxing purists ,mma fans and combat fans in general wanting to see him lose and see him fight a real boxer at his age,height and weight.
