How to fix a Makita sander BO4900 paper clamps. Not holding the paper.

This Makita BO4900 sander is No longer clamping the paper correctly. The problem is the aluminium base has worn away from sandpaper being fitted incorrectly.
This is a quick run down on how to replace the base and also the clamps and levers.
these are makitas second biggest sander. and a lovely machine they are. I have one myself.
nice and quite, a good weight and power. very easy to use.
Deffinantly a sander I would recommend.

What would the parts cost be on this? I found new parts prices stop a lot of repairs being viable, mostly gone down the route of used parts from donor tools.
