Getting milege around 17-21 on highways depends on the driving conditions.Comfortable seats, good suspension,low engine noise , gear shifting and steering is very smooth. Don't expect a performance oriented engine, a good choice for a small family with safety features like 6 airbags ,isofix child seats,alloy wheels,android auto apple car play with voice commands, idle start stop function for better fuel savings on traffic blocks,request sensors on doors ,reverse camera,LED projector headlamps with DRL, rear A/C,tilt and telescopic steering ,height adjustable driver seats,automatic climate control A/C at a price below 10 Lakhs with a good service network
@anonymous I guess you dont know anything about cars. Every TATA's are actually great in ride and handling. Nexon,altroz and harrier is the great example of how they managed to give better handling and same time better ride in one car..thats actually better than some marutis

Faster lap times will show which one is the best handler. Also, steering feedback and handling are different, Altroz has descent steering and ride quality but it's not agile as Baleno/Swift. Both these cars will leave Altroz in the dust in a track or hilly areas. World wide Suzuki is known as fun to drive small car manufacturer. Without the engine, handling has no use. You can see how Hyundai turbo diesel uses its engine power in the streets to overtake others, even though it has terrible dynamics. I won't say Altroz is bad handler but it's a descent and safe handling car. When you talk about Handling in MS cars forgot 1st and 2nd gen Swift, both these cars are altogether different breed in handling. Japanese are fine tuning chassis since ages whatever you do crazy manoeuvres definitely it won't loose it's traction or topple.

Baleno is unstoppable. Back in 2016 when I bought my Figo D, Baleno was just launched. I did consider it, but was put off by the long waiting periods, and the outer body that is prone to dimples. Got to experience Baleno of a colleague couple of years later and was blown away by the space and features. Coloured graphical MID, auto dimming mirror, auto AC, superb space, comfortable silent suspension, UV cut glass, 16 inch wheels... Just about everything that a customer wants and the super refined , rev happy, frugal 1.2 motor This new Baleno is improved drastically and is going to simply kill the competition!

Who needs a sunroof in a hot, humid, dusty polluted climate anyways? Coming to the car, the new front end makes it look wider and more planted. Alloys look brilliant. Those LED DRLs and rear position lights look cool. Interior too looks a lot better. This is going to be another winner for Suzuki

I’ve always found the side silhouette of the Baleno really likeable. This new iteration looks even better with the pronounced shoulder line, the slightly wider front stance imparted by the the design evolution, etc. Fairly feature loaded too, one of the few Suzukis that doesn’t feel undertyred. With no intentions whatsoever of owning one, I am still tempted to go for a TD, just by seeing the way you guys had fun chucking it around bends. Great review as usual.

@anonymous My cousin drives a first gen Alpha variant. That one doesn't have a sliding armrest. Dude is pretty short. He always complains about how unusable the arm rest is! Plus it is fixed so that the arm rest is useful only if you slide back the seat. In my case I'm fine with the placement.
I thought this updated model is a facelift for facelift’s sake. But gotta admit it really is growing on me after watching your review. Whether the car is likeable or not, there is absolutely no doubt abt that beautiful 4-cyl engine that they have perfected over these years. Yup! maruti has worked overtime to hide a lot of hard work done in improving the old baleno. If not for TalkingCars I wouldn't have given the facelift Baleno a second look. That suzuki K12 motor is absolutely a jack of all trades. Supremely refined, efficient and revs like mad, good driveability and sounds great especially when you give it the beans. The dualjet motor develops Max torque at a higher rpm, hope the higher BHP compensates for it. The new baleno still rides on Appollo Alnacs, Even celerio gets Yokos, better shoes would make the ride and handling even better. No tiny feature can escape JayD's eagle eyes. Amazing! The pale look on his face and the repeated speed warning chimes were clear giveaway that Vivek was breaking the law quite a few times in this video. 🤣

It's like second gen Swift , looks like a facelift version, but they followed the current gen design philosophy. Completely new skin. Quite handsome design
@@The_unsung i am fully satisfied with the experience in terms of comfort and driving experience, i get 18-20 kmpl on highways. Sometimes 21-23kmpl, completely depends on your driving behaviour. When my brother drive the car it is 14-15kmpl.
@@The_unsung i booked alpha top end, zeta would be the value for money Variant. But if you like to have suzuki connect and 360 degree camera alpha is the option. I drive the car for 220kms on 9.20 ltrs of petrol.
This is nirvana for car lovers.. One can easily come up with a decision by watching ur reviews. If you can do a tank to tank mileage test it would be great. But then again I know it's not practical.. But would be addition to the reviews.
Been driving Glanza for 38k km now. I have a sedate driving style where no other passenger complains about it being jerky. But I also like the power that comes past 3k RPM. Have also driven the new age 3 cylinder 1 L turbo engines. Would always prefer the K12 and IV TEC over the turbos anyday for my driving style.
As JD bro knows , I have a Swift Reborn (2014 ) ZXI I am currently facing Gearbox Synchronizer issue (there is a team bhp )thread related to numerous cases of the same. Is the parts quality on such parts improved in new baleno ? (For 2005 model swift , the synchronizer costs around 7k , while for this one it is 1500, but the quality is totally gone ) The shocking thing is MSIL hasn't put on a recall for this also till now. Shared this info , as if someone is having warranty , you guys can check if you can get a replacement ideally around 30k kms .
Gearbox Synchro issues in Swift are not very common. And yes, I've seen the thread on Team-bhp. None of my friends who drive the Swift (Diesel & Petrol) have gearbox issues. My own Swift is now almost 11 years old and it still shifts like new.
if ncap is better its definitely worth the premium and will leave no reason to choose a tata over this. the manual variants are priced too close to scross,brezza. so instead of a hud a 1.5 will close the deal reliability, resale even after 10 years only Maruti NA can give. drive it to any part of the country parts are there.

I’ve always found the side silhouette of the Baleno really likeable. This new iteration looks even better with the pronounced shoulder line, the slightly wider front stance imparted by the the design evolution, etc. Fairly feature loaded too, one of the few Suzukis that doesn’t feel undertyred.
With no intentions whatsoever of owning one, I am still tempted to go for a TD, just by seeing the way you guys had fun chucking it around bends.

@anonymous My cousin drives a first gen Alpha variant. That one doesn't have a sliding armrest. Dude is pretty short. He always complains about how unusable the arm rest is! Plus it is fixed so that the arm rest is useful only if you slide back the seat. In my case I'm fine with the placement.

Yup! maruti has worked overtime to hide a lot of hard work done in improving the old baleno. If not for TalkingCars I wouldn't have given the facelift Baleno a second look.
That suzuki K12 motor is absolutely a jack of all trades. Supremely refined, efficient and revs like mad, good driveability and sounds great especially when you give it the beans. The dualjet motor develops Max torque at a higher rpm, hope the higher BHP compensates for it.
The new baleno still rides on Appollo Alnacs, Even celerio gets Yokos, better shoes would make the ride and handling even better.
No tiny feature can escape JayD's eagle eyes. Amazing! The pale look on his face and the repeated speed warning chimes were clear giveaway that Vivek was breaking the law quite a few times in this video. 🤣

@@The_unsung i am fully satisfied with the experience in terms of comfort and driving experience, i get 18-20 kmpl on highways. Sometimes 21-23kmpl, completely depends on your driving behaviour. When my brother drive the car it is 14-15kmpl.
@@The_unsung i booked alpha top end, zeta would be the value for money Variant. But if you like to have suzuki connect and 360 degree camera alpha is the option. I drive the car for 220kms on 9.20 ltrs of petrol.

Been driving Glanza for 38k km now. I have a sedate driving style where no other passenger complains about it being jerky.
But I also like the power that comes past 3k RPM.
Have also driven the new age 3 cylinder 1 L turbo engines.
Would always prefer the K12 and IV TEC over the turbos anyday for my driving style.

I am currently facing Gearbox Synchronizer issue (there is a team bhp )thread related to numerous cases of the same.
Is the parts quality on such parts improved in new baleno ?
(For 2005 model swift , the synchronizer costs around 7k , while for this one it is 1500, but the quality is totally gone )
The shocking thing is MSIL hasn't put on a recall for this also till now.
Shared this info , as if someone is having warranty , you guys can check if you can get a replacement ideally around 30k kms .
What is the issue you noticed? And how did you get to know that it is gearbox synchronizer issue?
Gearbox Synchro issues in Swift are not very common. And yes, I've seen the thread on Team-bhp. None of my friends who drive the Swift (Diesel & Petrol) have gearbox issues. My own Swift is now almost 11 years old and it still shifts like new.

the manual variants are priced too close to scross,brezza. so instead of a hud a 1.5 will close the deal reliability, resale even after 10 years only Maruti NA can give. drive it to any part of the country parts are there.
