  • And now for something completely different: changing my violin strings and just letting you enjoy all the sounds that come along with that, plus some added calming music.
This video might make you very relaxed. Or it makes you want to change your violin strings. I'm fine with either of these outcomes. ;-)

My sons new violin is coming tomorrow ,and I have never changed strings on a violin ever, so this will definitely help, oh and I even took your advice and bought a set of Tonica synth. strings for him..because the metal strings on his new violin will be horrible :D .

That is really nice to hear! And Tonicas are nice, even sounding and comfortable strings, I recommend them to everyone who's just starting out. Glad it was helpful for you! 😊

In Swedish I learned to say "Grodan Dansar Aldrig Ensam" (The frog never dances alone) To remember the strings :)

I do use the Pirastro Oliv E string cause it has a warmer sound, and also, the string is gold. Which is nice.

I'm trying a gold E string soon, I'm curious how it sounds. 🙂

Not yet, but I've heard good things abiut them. A bit pricey though. Because I'm playing less now, I wanted to try something cheaper.

@@MarijkeViolin Here in Germany Vision and Pi are pretty much the same price. I habe Vision Solo on my viola, my teacher has Pi. I like them both.

How often do you change your strings?

I do this with my violin all the time but there’s more erotic moaning as I struggle with my pegs. Your geared pegs are truly a mood dampener. For that reason this violin asmr gets a 7/10.
