Outro- "The Fix" by Aldous Young - Sport
Where tier do you think the new XFL will make it in?
Also, for those of you wondering, I did put the wrong logo in the beginning (the middle AFL logo). That is the logo for the Australian football league and it was meant to be the American football league. Anyways, enjoy!
Hopefully S tier
a tier
A
High B, low A
it stays for At least 3 years but i want it to stay for more then 10
Honestly, I don't think we can ever properly tier XFL 2.0. They had the talent and they had the fans, but you had a freak of nature incident forcing them to close. It honestly could not be worse timing, and was no fault of their own.
Fat Lady hasn't sung yet!
If it follows the same pattern, I think the XFL 3.0 could be in B-tier
Only thing I liked about XFL 2.0 was the Kick off style.
The league isn’t over, they’re returning during the 2022 season
Also the USFL is coming back as well!!!
Thanks for letting me be a part of this one bro! May my AAF champion Apollos rest in victory.
Set the Edge love you man
Set the Edge we all know the Commanders were the best team in the AAF
@@shchorss We'll never know. But one thing's for sure, I hang my Commander jersey high.
Set the Edge No No, we were gonna get a rematch in the championship game in Frisco. (I went to the Commanders Vs Apollo’s game in week 3 and was gonna buy tickets to the championship)
Commanders would have won it all easily.
Watching the end of this video is almost a surreal moment for me. After being a fan of yours for years my favorite part of your videos is when you include the best clip at the end with that classic KTO music. I was a STL Rams fan for years so naturally I'm a battlehawks fan. I was at the game against New York and I've never seen a stadium get so hype (myself included) than when Joe Powell ran back that kick for a TD. Almost didn't seem real until I saw it in this video. Thanks for including the clip.
I'm not a Rams fan, nor a Battlehawks fan, but Stan Kroenke should have NEVER moved the Rams out of STL. It's clear that STL loves football, and is ecstatic to be back into the football world. All in all, fuck Kroenke, long live the Battlehawks, and welcome back St Louis.
The AAFC should have been mentioned as well. It gave the Browns and 49ers to the NFL.
Also, the CFL technically predates the NFL. It just wasn't called the CFL until the 1950s.
"THIS...IS....THE XFEEELLLLLL"
Hmm.. Vince McMahon is a little too hype
They FEEEEEELLLLL-ed alright
It's the steroids
I want to see his old ass do that now. Worst/best case is he strokes out and WWE ends up out of his hands.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing.
Never played it, so why does it get a lot of hate? Just asking?
Truevillany cuz the game is fuckin trash
@@primeglasnow2661 because of the agressive marketing campaign. Every CZcamsr is sponsored by them as well as the pre roll ads are more often than not of raid shadow legends. It happens
I hope the XFL continues on. With the amount of talented players who don’t make it to the NFL out of college, they can continue doing what they’re gifted at, and get payed for it.
Cfl
They will just wait till 2023
I saw a guy walking around wearing a Houston Roughnecks t-shirt already.
That's my team...as an old Oilers fan, I like the similarity to the oil stack
Half my school has em
I tried to buy a roughnecks hat but all the ones I liked were sold out
@King Markbarry they can't because I think the Titans own the name. I think Okland and San Diego should get an XFL team and maybe expand into states with out NFL teams like Oregon, Utah, Bama, South Carolina places like that
@King Markbarry not a bad idea. They should think about looking at states with no NFL teams and old NFL citys that don't have a NFL team anymore.
When KTO forgets the first league to merge with the NFL. The AAFC this is the league the Browns and 49'rs are from.
kelton davis and the colts too
@@grid-natics2983 I may be wrong, but I believe the colts from the AAFC went bankrupt and a new owner bought a new franchise in Baltimore and kept the colts name.
Edit(spelling)
@@keltondavis4559 you're right this colts franchise got defunct in 1950
todays colts joined the nfl in the 1953
The browns become the ravens.
There’s mistakes and we’re out here to remind them. That’s why they are amateurs next time look at ( www.pro-football-reference.com/ ) they would seen that The AAFC merged and the Browns were a powerhouse in the Championship game the first 10 years of being a franchise. Also The AFL did not put a team in KC they moved there from a Dallas as they where The second version of the Texans But other than that love the videos from both you guys March 3 Edit. I re-read this and the AAFC didn’t merge only 3 teams of the league so it wasn’t a actual merger
The CFL really deserves more exposure, it’s honestly the next best thing to the NFL
Agreed. I have been following the CFL for the last three seasons. Once Americans like me get used to the differences in rules and the nuances of the game, it's good football. I enjoy it a lot.
I especially like the rules on special teams. No fair catches, the "no yards" penalty, the rouge, the fact that most missed FGs are returned, etc...
@@christianedmiston1101 No fair catches is dumb and injury prone.
Tristan Turner I highly recommend watching the LFA, this league has an agreement with the CFL with the purpose of host a draft where top Mexican players can go to the CFL and hopefully get a shot at the roster of any CFL team!. Sadly the league got suspended due to Coronavirus
@Ravensfan4life it would be backfire
There was once American teams in the cfl. The Baltimore stallions even won the championship
Went to an IFL game in 2018 in Green Bay. Sat right behind the endzone and thought it was cool that you could actually talk to the players if you wanted to. xD
Love watching the IFL. I don’t live near enough to a team to go to a game but they have all their games streamed to CZcams so it’s easy to always follow my Quad City Steamwheelers.
yo congrats pls beat the Wranglers (Rattlers fan)
The CFL has been around since the beginning of the 20th century, they only officially got the name CFL in 1958. The Championship (Grey Cup) itself has been around for nearly 110 years. Would not call it a start-up league, as many of its teams have been around before the earliest NFL teams, the first being the Hamilton Tiger-Cats who have been around since 1869.
every league is a start up league the nfl itself is a start up league which is why he ranked it
@@26reasonz31 Then would the NFL not be on this list? Seems like it was supposed to be viewed as a lesser type of thing but in Canada it is the #1 football league
One cool fact about the CFL: the championship trophy, the Grey Cup, is a vessel you can actually drink out of (like the Stanley Cup in hockey)! The Superbowl by comparison is a clunky paper weight. And on the Grey Cup, the inscription acknowledges the true roots of gridiron football (whether CFL or NFL) in coming from rugby:
"To be awarded to the winners of the Canadian Rugby Football League".
@@Schnitz13 I am not sure if the Stanely Cup or the Grey Cup is the oldest trophy or challenge cup contested for in North American History, (and that includes all nations in the continent.) I'll google it, but perhaps you could enlighten me a bit.
Paul Miazga it’s also super heavy. Not easy to drink out of. Found that out the hard way. Good thing Stanley Bryant was there to help out haha.
I love videos like this. KTO is what got me into the OG XFL and kind of inspired me to make my own football videos

RZFL Sports Too bad they suck
I’ve actually attended games in a few of these leagues: USFL (Philadelphia Stars), CFL (Las Vegas Posse), Arena League (L.A. KISS), and of course the NFL (many games in many cities).
I was a huge fan of Arena Football back in the day. The Tampa Bay Storm were my boys. I loved that team. I went to several games growing up in Tampa.
Honesty when I found out that the Storm didn't survive years later; I felt pretty bummed.
@@atypicallark9617 Me too man. It’s a shame that the arena league couldn’t survive as a whole too. I loved it while it lasted. I still proudly wear Tampa Bay Storm gear to this day.
I am from saint louis and everyone is hyped to have football back again after the rams left
if the XFL survives, it's franchises like the Battlehawks that are going to save it.
E-Z go Hawks
Fuck Stan Kroenke.
@@hagamapama For real. I live in Oregon and I know for a fact if they put a team somewhere close to Portland it'd be a big draw. Everyone here wants a professional football team.
LawyersRFun most definitely..... Portland needs an xfl team

Mr Potential ikkkkk
Bruh so fax these are my two favorite football creators
Ikr
The one Arena Football game I went to was more fun than any NFL game I’ve ever been to. The fans were WWE crowd fun with none of the terrible hygiene. I really regret not going to more when I had the opportunity.
The Ifl and Nal are still around. Check them out they stream all of their game on youtube. I would place both of those leagues in S tier if i could.
I went to a New York Dragons game for my 10th birthday. I got a free football and took a picture with cheerleaders on the field before the game.
0:05 that is the Australian Football League.
ikr totally different sport more like rugby
very odd they included it.
That’s what I said 😂 it’s not even the same sport
Aussie rules is rugby but with a American football lol
@@DOVM6336 Aussie rules is nothing like rugby. American football is based on rugby though.
the CFL had an expansion period from 93 to 95 where they added teams in the US. It's not a new league but it was a failed expansion
If it weren't for the success of the Baltimore Stallions, the NFL wouldn't have returned to Charm City, besides Modell's team, the Raiders, Benglas and Bucs showed interest in moving there.
expanded too fast in poor regions (poor in terms of fan base not wealth), they should have focused on markets closer to the border and passionate fan base I give you a wild example ..... Fargo ! yes they have a great dome and they're passionate and will never be part of the NFL, XFL 3.0....USLF 2.0 ....
How does KTO not have a million subs. He's so good.
I've always thought of the CFL being the harder leauge to play in. The field is bigger with less downs, and more defenders, there really is no run game to fall back on.
Linemen are 5 yards away each other
@@DoubeEdged7no the d-line is one yard off the ball but sacks and pressures are still very common, on punts and kickoffs a defender cannot be within 5 yards or closer to the returner upon the returner catching the ball or scooping it off the ground if they are it’s a penalty called “no yards”
One of the beginning logos was the Australian football league which plays Aussie rules football not American football.
Mrchips469 I was going to say
Yep was also gonna say
Just about to say that. It’s a fantastic sport!! 👍🏼
KTO already addressed it, don't worry and keep your knickers from twisting. We all good
I was gonna say that, I’m from Australia and I was thinking wtf
I watch both of your videos and I’m glad you guys collaborated

There is a new European league called the European League of Football with some of the former NFL Europe names such as the Berlin Thunder, Frankfurt Galaxy, Hamburg Sea Devils, etc!!!
Interesting fact: the CFL or LCF (in Quebec) started its life as a rugby league that served rugby clubs in Canada. The first ever Grey Cup was awarded in 1909 to the Toronto Varisty Blues (which are still around as University of Toronto's main team).
I miss the Arena League and hope it comes back watching it on TV was always fun
Most of the teams in arena football went to indoor football league because it going to be bankrupt and some teams had arguments with owner of AFL
8:30 My dad told me about that play growing up since he was at that game. Thats the first time I'd ever seen it.
0:54 “yard work” 🤣
First Arena Football game I ever attended was Arena Bowl '90. Over 19,000 in Joe Louis Arena watched the Detroit Drive win their 3rd straight title. In the early days, that team was dominant. 6 years of play in Detroit, 6 Arena Bowl appearances. 4 titles.
KTO used my video at 0:13 I am honored.
My two favorite sport youtuber making a collab, my dream came true
I loved the Arena Football League when it came out. It also had a Video Game that was kinda fun IMO.
That outro still gives me chills a year later. Please please never change it
I still watch arena football for my Iowa Barnstormers and my g-pa has season tickets every year
Best helmets in football. Period.
In high school, my hall monitor was one of their former Defensive Ends. We never had a fight at school.

Jim Kelly was a god in the USFL before finally joining Buffalo.
Chris Taroni he may have been good but Herschel walker is undoubtedly the best to ever play in the usfl
@@Xjebin
No
Reggie White, Steve Young, Jim Kelly
So were Reggie White, Steve Young, and Herschel Walker
@aaron4094 _ I was a huge USFL fan and attended many Philadelphia Stars games as a teenager. Walker was good, no doubt, but Kelvin Bryant from the Stars had a much bigger impact on the league (he led his team to all 3 championship games). And don’t forget Jim Kelly, Steve Young, Reggie White, Sam Mills, Bobby Hebert, etc.
Missed the AAFL that gave the Browns and 49ers among others
As a 49ers fan living in Northern Ireland I'm eternally grateful to Tom Brady and the Buccaneers for avenging our loss in Superbowl LIV 🏈🇬🇧🇺🇸😂😢
I’ve been to arena games. I went to one in San Diego when they were the riptide. And I do follow the Arizona Rattlers and will be watching the new IFL expansion team in Prescott.
I played in 3 of the leagues mentioned. The AFL, IFL, and LFA down in Mexico. Your assessment of the AFL and it’s issues was spot on. Love the videos man, keep it up 🙌🏼
The XFL (2020) was the greatest start up league after the NFL in my opinion. The brilliant new code of football added a lot of excitement to the game. I also loved how it was presented. Watched every game until COVID killed it. The worst? The XFL (2001). I was 18 during the leagues inaugural season. Mixing wrestling culture with football was cringe enough without the bad teams with stupid names and uniforms.
I went to a Chicago Rush game when the AFL was around, really fun
Love this channel, most informative for new fans of the sport!
The centre afl logo is from Australian Football which is much different to Gridion/American Football
HELL YES waiting for this collab!
I understand the emphasis on more modern leagues, but you should have included the All-America Football Conference (1946-1949), from which the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers jumped to the NFL. Also, there were three American Football Leagues before the AFL of the 60s: 1926, 1936-37, and 1940-41. And the Continental Football League deserved a shout out as well.
I remember going to not one, not two, but five AFL games, all of them with the Austin Wranglers during the second peak of the ArenaFL (the first being the early-mid 90s; I personally wouldn't call the late-90s to early-00s parts of the peaks). Still have a couple programs, inflatable boom sticks, jersey, and an AFL football signed by Wranglers players, coaching staff, and mascot. The last game I went to (that I have a program for at least) was the April 6th, 2007 game against the Utah Blaze where (after looking it up) they won 65-64.
I loved the team and I genuinely loved the sport, just as much as I loved Austin sports at the time when the minor leagues were trying the city for a go. The Round Rock Express since '00, the Ice Bats since '96, and the Wranglers since '04, it was a magical time for American sports enthusiasts in 2000s Austin. Then the Great Recession came and the Wranglers and Ice Bats both died in '08 with the Express being sold from the Astros to the Rangers as Biggio retired and Oswalt was raring to leave. Now the Express were sold back to the Astros just as we learn the 'Stros were cheatin' and the best Austin has is the Texas Stars playing in Ceder Park (The team the Dallas Stars relocated from Iowa as opposed to the Ice Bats), an MLS team that nobody in the city really wanted, a USLC team that people only wanted if Usain Bolt was going to be on it, and a college football team whose ego and hubris is slowly but finally eating away at itself.
Yet, the closest I could get to proper football in the last few years in Austin is the Outlaws of the Women's Football Alliance and the closest in Central Texas was the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football - which by the way, San Antonio, San Diego, and Orlando deserve their own football teams because those cities are absolutely hungry for the sport. Even though they were around for a few seasons, I miss the Wranglers. Cheap tickets, cheap concession, cheap venue, but the entertainment was top-notch. RIP Wranglers, '04-'08; RIP AFL 1987-2019.
I think the new XFL could make B tier at best... Still some flaws. Great job with Set the Edge man.
If done properly, it could work in collaboration with the NFL.
@@howardbaxter2514 They said that about the AAF too.
I disagree, an NFL partnership would be the ruin of the XFL as a unique product. they're better off working in parallel
@@hagamapama problem with the AAF is that a partnership with the NFL was their SOLE goal. The XFL needs to build an identity first, and then they can start negotiating about a partnership with the NFL.
It failed due to corona.

Went to a Georgia Force game with my buddies for my 7th birthday party, the AFL was awesome while it lasted

Shoutout to the World Football League/NFL Europe. The league that helped give valuable in-game experience to 3 Super Bowl starting quarterbacks, 2 who won the big game...Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson and Jake Delhomme...all either made the Pro Bowl or even the HOF. Jon Kitna also got significant starting time, and Scott Mitchell actually had 1 good season for the Lions in 1995. There were other big time NFL players who came out of NFL Europe.
The Colorado Crush in the arena league were so fun to watch at the Pepsi Center. They were good too
Is that the Australian football league logo at 0:04 in the center? That’s a different sport entirely
Did he just google "AFL logo" and take the first one?
WillTheMallet yeah probably
What if "KTO made what if" videos. 🤣🤣🤣
Back in 2016 I used to go to Tampa bay storm games with my uncle my brother and some friends. Arena football games were awesome. We got to go the field after games, got free tickets cause we knew someone who worked at Amalie arena, and even got to stand right next to the field during games. I for sure miss the arena football league and the storm
I’m glad you got Set the Edge on here, dude is a stud, I love his videos. Cool to see you guys collaborating.
First. love the videos thank u for uploading all the time
I still think that some kind of Spring or Summer league could make it with the right management and Backing and the NFL really has proven that it does need a Developmental league.
RIP the Orlando Predators. I went to 2 games, 1 was in the old TD Waterhouse when I was 7, and whoo let me tell you that it was much wilder of an environment than my dad had thought lmao. The second time was in the Amway Center when I was 14 and it was much more toned down. I even have a hat still :(
The AFL always felt like a cool thing for me growing up and I thought that it would still be around today. I watched the Austin Wranglers when they existed and even had an AFL football that I would throw around with my dad. Sadly I never noticed the Wranglers folding as I turned all my football attention to the NCAA and NFL the more I think back on it
Combo of the century?
I honestly think the XFL could make an impact on professional sports and that's only because Vince McMahon is ruthless and he has a personal vendetta against the NFL. I wouldn't put it beneath him to scout high school kids and convincing them to sign with his league and bypass a top tier Division I-A school. With the outcry of student athletes complaining about compensation and the age restriction of the NFL, Vince would pounce on the opportunity
KTO and Set the Edge was a collaboration I didn’t know I needed. Love both channels.
Set the edge and kto are 2 of my favorite guys!!! Luv this!!!

Carolina Cobras one time for me. By halfway through the first quarter I knew there was no hope for them to win.
I had just started watching the Arena league just before they folded
The last clip of a KTO video always brings a shiver down my spine. These are really mini documentaries.
Oh yes, I remember the days of Frankfurt Galaxy so very fondly! It's what sparked my interest in Football (I'm from the Frankfurt area, so the Galaxy was originally literally the only game in town). That Kurt Warner was the Quarterback for Frankfurt's main rival Amsterdam goes to show that the quality of football on display wasn't too shabby either. So sad that they couldn't keep it going.

I did love the AFL for a while. And yes when there was a team in New Jersey (The Gladiators) my dad & I had season tickets. Then they moved to Las Vegas and I was so pissed. I continued to follow the league for a while, and where I live now in Washington State there's the Spokane Shock, but I'm not sure if they're still around (different league). Had a lot of potential but late in their life they started bleeding teams, a 16 team league gone down to like 9 teams in 3 divisions and that was it for me.
I have waited for this collab for so long

The jusice Leauge s tier is the best tier dude
@@Xjebin oh I didn't know that
@@Xjebin s is still kind bad tho
Best out of all, but here’s the issue: The XFL doesn’t get money from FOX or ESPN. With baseball season and NHL playoffs those ratings are at risk of dropping, and maybe even attendance. Let me breakdown some cities:
Tampa will especially take a hit with the Rays being a playoff team last year, and probably competing for a playoff spot this year, and the Lightning playoff run. St Louis same as the Blues playoff run takes shape and we all know how popular the Cards are. They are NL central division contenders. There is only 1 city that could do well: Seattle, as the Mariners are the same ol’ uninspired Mariners.
The XFL chose the wrong cities to put teams in. They should’ve chose San Diego and Baltimore, for instance. Cities with bad baseball teams, that need sports in the spring to get addicted to before they see their, one, a rebuilding home run giving squad (Orioles). The other, a possibly mediocre to good but not good enough team (Padres).
I'm from Kentucky and we had the Lexington/Kentucky Horsemen who were a fairly popular minor league indoor team that played in Rupp Arena. Jared Lorenzen played for them after he was cut by the Giants and Colts. They bounced around leagues before getting to AF2. They would've probably gotten all the way to the Arena League, but the team folded after the 08 recession. I went to several games and they were actually really fun.
I remember watching the UFL a lot with my dad when I was younger. Was interesting seeing some older players I knew and some younger players I never heard about. Even then I was not surprised when it shut down, though. Still a bummer
This XFL seems to have some similarities with the USFL. And they know what not to do.
Who’s here after COVID-19 ruined XFL 2.0?
I went to an AFL game. My state and my town had the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Pioneers. It was a lot of fun. I still have the old game on the PS2. Still a great game to play
when i used to play baseball we practiced on this big giant public field/park and on that same field on the other side a arena football team (oklahoma defenders) would practice there
Add FCF to the list
day 3 of asking for the 2010 college season of football
There was an Arena Football team in my city, so I’ve been to a few games. They are pretty cheap tickets and the environment with being so close to the players and field is amazing. I don’t really follow them closely though, but the games are fun.
I’ve never been to an AFL game but my dad was a team doctor for one of those semi-pro arena league teams
