Sitting over here with my M3 pro MacBook Pro, my M2 iPad Pro 11” is sitting by its side as a second monitor. I also use it for art, and for playing some games. I use my iPad and my MacBook almost equally, they compliment each other well, and I don’t regret having either one.
That’s amazing! I have mine sitting next to my monitor as well. But I gotta be honest, I rarely use it still.

Try using your iPad as an additional monitor to your Mac with universal control. Works seamlessly and it’s soo cool!
POV: you just ordered an iPad Air with m2 chip
I use my 11” M2 iPad all day alongside my 16” M2 Pro MBP with universal control to keep up with chat and email apps. iPad is also my on the go work machine (I’m an accountant) and it follows me around the house for gaming, consumption, web browsing, and late night emails etc.
Not everyone needs every product but I think the iPad is my favorite device
That's awesome! I've used it that way too. I actually think that this may be one of the better ways to use an iPad, at least if you're not a creative!

The main reason why I’m considering iPad is the features that Apple pen offers. I’m a composer and I really like writing on paper. I use sibelius of course but there’s just something about putting iPad out start sketching. Plus I can use it as a sound module, recording sessions on the go, reading music while practicing or performing and also designing. A lot of features MacBook just can’t do.
If you are looking for an iPad, the 9th generation is recommended. It’s at an affordable price of 200-650$ depending if you’re going to buy a new one. The camera may not be the best but there is no lag and it still works great for an everyday device. Hope this helped.
Sir you are correct, if you have a pc and an iphone, there is no reason to get an ipad. The ipad does not have a bigger screen or usefulness like a desktop nor lighter than a phone when using on a sofa. For such a big device it’s battery is not greater than an iphone it feels like. I grew more tiredsome just to swipe on a huge display compared to a phone

as a graphic designer (student) i use mine all the time as well as my macbook pro… but i get for video creators that it has no use since video editing on a computer is always easier

im using my ipad pro for school every day (around 8h+). I also have the macbook air 2023 which I use for everything else and sometimes for school too but I’m not allowed to use it in school

I only use mine for notes in lectures instead of bringing my mac, pretty much all it’s used for. Other times it’s just a glorified Netflix screen or a ruler during labs😂
An iPad Pro 11 inch is exactly what I got. But I am except for the iPad, not in the Apple ecosystem at all and Goodnotes 5 alone replaced all of my physical notebooks. Saved/saves so much space.

You would have benefited from buying the 12.9 with the Magic Keyboard; it would have been much better. I recently purchased the MacBook Pro 14 with the M3 Pro chip, intending to switch, but after using it for a few days, I found myself returning to the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro's unmatched versatility and the additional features of iPadOS cant be ignored

I have been on edge of whether to buy the MacBook pro or the iPad Pro, for workflow/design/editing, I have a pc and Samsung g8 monitor, and been wanting an Apple laptop or tablet, to have that portable versatility, and Apple features that I like also to hook it to my monitor when I want to

I’m getting one tomorrow for gaming because I don’t want to burn through my iPhones battery more than I already have and I like how it has 120 hz 👍🏻 I would only recommend the 11 inch for that type of use and the 12.9 inch if you are really sure you will be using it for video editing or photo editing or maybe even drawing on a very frequent basis.
Congrats on your new iPad! Gaming on it will be a breeze and you won't have to worry about draining your iPhone's battery. Plus, the 120Hz display will make everything look super smooth. Enjoy!
This is true, first i wanted an ipad but i already have gaming phone and laptop and there is no use for my m2 pro🥺 but i try to read on it just to try to use it. The phone is more comfortable for browsing and basic stuff. Trying to type on the 11" is more time wasting and uncomfortable than to type quickly on a phone for browsing and chatting purposes. And there is laptop for media requirements
Absolutely agree with you. I try to really use the iPad more and more now but I do mostly still for creative purposes only :(

Since I don’t have macbook, probably an iPad would be helpful for me in some ways in the future. Basically, you have all the tools you need like a MacBook, an iPhone, and bunch of other tools for content creating and editing that is why you don’t see the need of having an iPad. :)
Ever since i got my ipad for school I've gotten consistent 7+ screen time, mostly for notes but also the screen is so much better for watching videos and such. If you truly don't see a use for it or have better alternatives I'd suggest just giving it away because other people can really benefit from an ipad

My iPad is my most productive device by far. I hardly use my MacBook Pro now as many apps that I need for my daily use are optimised for the iPad.

@@hankmoody9965 Am in the medical profession, anatomy apps are great to explain issues to patient as well as drugs checks and interaction apps. I also use Microsoft Word regularly. DVR for video editing is great too.
I have been using my iPad pro 10.5 sinse its release in 2017 and i dont regret that 800$ pouches as i have used it though my education every single school day for not taking. i have been contouring wether to get a newer iPad recently because the battery life is getting to a place were ill end the day at 15-20% after a good 4 hours of use. and i agree with alot of these other comments "just because you dont use it that much don't make it useless for all people". still a great video idea.
Hey! Yep, absolutely agree that for some people, the iPad is an amazing device. That's why I said for me, it isn't. I actually made a video on the iPad Mini (long form) on which I elaborate a little more why I don't think the iPad is such a great device, but I also include 5 reasons why it may be a really good one for some people.

I use my iPad, Everglades all day long. I love it. I would not be without it.
I have a MacBook Pro and iPad Pro 12.9 inch. I use both every day. I find the iPad extremely useful, especially with Apps like Procreate. I use it as a design tool, a presentation tool for my clients, and to organize my business. I create content on both devices and share between the two, but my iPad with Apple Pencil 2 is indispensable and my go-to design tool. If you’re an artist or designer, you will know if this is right for you.

Unfortunately, you can’t really draw on a MacBook. Although I’m sure there are graphics and other ways to draw in MacBooks, it’s just not the same feeling being able to move your pencil on the screen. That’s how I see it anyway. Plus, I’d like the portability of it. I don’t have a MacBook just an iPhone.
I use my iPad every single day. After my MacBook it’s my most used device.
This just seems like a review on your poor choices rather than the actual iPad.
This is actually great life advice in general... I'm a very contented owner of my iphone 15 pro, and am debating getting this powerful ipad for the portability/ content consumption factors... but you know what, I think I'll save the massive hole in my bank account and get a cheap, 2nd hand older ipad instead
Hi Mike! I'm happy you got value out of the video. And honestly, iPad's have a VERY long shelf life. New features are borderline useless these days (though Apple will try its hardest to convince you otherwise), and even generations from a few years ago will still be good for years to come. At most, you may want to change the battery which isn't that expensive. In fact, it's WAY cheaper for older iPad's than the newer ones, due to manufacturing things.
Meanwhile I’m watching this video on my iPad. The amount of things I do with my iPad for my businesses. The whole point of the purchase is so I didn’t have to shell out for a MacBook. It was one or the other but not both. I have a laptop, cameras, iPhone, on and on. And still seem to use my iPad more. I have reduced the amount of space I use on iPhone and on laptop just by using iPad. My iPad makes me money more than any other gadget I own. So confused why it’s worthless??

I think the iPad is great if:
1) You're a creative person that draws
2) You do not have a MacBook and this is your own device
3) You have children
4) You DO NOT need to use tables like Google Sheet, etc

Literally me with my M2 Mac book air , had it for a year used it 4 times meanwhile I use my iPad Pro all day none stop for everything . Really depends your work flow
It works for me I use is to manage my barbershop business way easier than a bulky laptop would. I manage website, finances, social media, licensing and bookings management etc. just depends on your line of work I guess. Just wanted to share my journey with this device

Regarding the iPad screen, bad news buddy. They're extremely expensive. I just paid $700 for a repair of the very iPad you see in the video. This left a very bad taste in my mouth but it is what it is. I'm now trying to use it more at least. Hahahaha
I mean i use my 10.5 pro alot media consumption youtube and if i get this one it'll also be editing on the go usb c is great i can pull footage from my air 2s after flying then edit quickly.

I use my iPad Pro like 5 hrs a day lol there is so much you can use it for, education, media consumption, second monitor for your MacBook, i do more emails from my iPad then my m3 MacBook.
Even for that additional ‘for me’ clause, these kinds of videos are so misleading and pointless to be honest. Every device is useful and useless based on personal experiences. You might not need it or find it useful, but it’s what someone else needs the most, so what’s the point of these videos then if it’s not to confuse everyone who’s considering these products?? 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. I’m a creative and an iPad Pro is my daily device and honestly all I need and use it fully, it’s the most useful device I own.

My only Apple products are my iPhone and my AirPods. I was considering getting an iPad just bc I feel like my phone (although it’s the 14 pro max) can be a rather small screen for watching videos still. I do use my tv sometimes but that also drains electricity and I could fall asleep with an iPad on and not worry bout paying electricity bills. An iPad wouldn’t be considered as useless for me right🤔
