Hey just an idea... Maybe you guys can put a couple of totes in the back of your truck then when you hit great food jackpots u can grab the totes and fill them up- that way u dont have to make so many trips back and forth to the truck. Great thing is totes are reusable and easy to clean up :) I think you guys got some amazing finds just thought I'd make a friendly suggestion

I live in the Dayton area, we were hit by 14 tornadoes, and a mass shooting. There is a shortage of food here. This would be a great way to help people.
I get food out dumpsters and give it out where ever I find people who want it.I don’t care what people think,God leads me to the food and then He leads me to who to give it to.
my neighbor gets food out but keeps it all instead of sharing it with those that are hungry

Mimi sounds like she wouldn't eat food from a dumpster? and Sara seems "jealous" of her neighbor? maybe the neighbor shares with family and if she does keep it all...she worked for it! lots of foods can be frozen. and, not judging, but maybe Mimi is too scared, to either dive or accept a gift of free safe food? we have been food-insecure most of my life. when we had food when we were kids, if i didn't get to the kitchen early enough...my 3 older brothers got all the food first, so, i went without food all day. and my mother was not a good cook, some not even edible. i taught myself to be bulimic when i was 10. but that was my meal for the day. sad to say, i still feel guilty, but i stole money and lunch tickets sometimes, mostly from the same girl, all through jr hi. a dime bought a large slim jim. when i was older (just before the mother kicked me out at age 16, "because she didn't have room for me"!, my brother worked for mcd's, he would make extra burgers just before close. he'd wrap them up special and throw them into the dumpster. after work, he would go get them and we would have frozen, old burgers. i "couldn't" eat mcd's for a long time! lol ) i could go on, but I'll stop. i am disabled and not able to buy food, go to a food bank or dive, i also can't afford my meds. i would love to dive and have food in the house. y'all do a Great job of feeding your family and i know y'all give away some as well. bless your little family and keep keepin' on. don't listen to the negative. there seems to be more negative right now, for all the divers i watch. I'm sorry that is so. (sorry for being so long!)

The dumpster fruit and vegs, you can wash in vinegar and water. Just so you know. Since Stacy likes to can, you could make some jelly and jams.
I take the berries I pick from Aldis and get rid of the bad and overripe ones, wash the rest in water and vinegar. Got 6 bags of pears a couple weeks ago, each had one bad one in them. Washed the rest and made 4 friends on limited incomes very happy.

Hi Stacie, just to let you know tomatoes are very easy to can. And you can add other stuff to them when you do. I learned all about canning when I was raising my three Sons by myself. Know help from the father. I even made applebutter and sold it to a restaurant. It was so good. With the eggs think about when they had know refrigeration, and the eggs just sat on the counter, I know a lady who puts hers on the counter and they stay there for a month, and the eggs are just fine. Just for your info.
i think with the eggs its only what would be considered farm fresh so to speak, you don’t have to worry so much… if it comes from a store its been handled differently…… don’t even try it

Curbside Junkies we are the only country in the world that washes and refrigerates eggs. My fresh eggs are good for a month unwashed and sitting in a basket on the counter. Even the best by dates on store eggs doesn't mean anything, they are good long after that.
Thank you both for what you are doing, I enjoy your video's they are very entertaining. The second and more important reason I am thanking the two of you, is you are saving our environment as are all the other people that dumpster dive. Al! the things that you recycle are not going into a landfill or being burned up or thrown in the ocean. I think it is terrible that retail stores would rather destroy and dispose of things then donate to people that could use their outdated products. I don't know what's become of our country but I am proud of people like the two you. Keep up the good work.

I just looked up some of the deer food you pick up what you got 34 bags . Stacey & Adam & your family. In Florida they range from $18 to $40 to $60 per bag the bigger bags are more expensive. Good luck adding that too your truck fund. And I get a kick out of watching you do with these videos. I never knew you can get that much food out of a dumpster after the stores closed down
Stores don’t refrigerate eggs here in the UK - as long as you do the float test they’ll be fine x

Before the 40'-50's, people kept eggs on the counter or in a cupboard. Those eggs are probably fine.
Hot dog buns, butter and garli, place under the broiler, or fry the buttered side in a skillet, so good!!

We have been so broke that we only had meat one day a week, we had one kind of beans one day and a different kind the next. Our money had to go for food to sustain us. It is kind of rough when you don't have money for junk food. I can't explain it you just need to try it for yourself. It's a relief to finally get a treat.

When we went to the Philippines they had there eggs on the shelves next to the bread. I was shocked!!!
Also my in-laws had 6000 chicken that laid eggs and they were not refrigerated . After they were gathered up then they were refrigerated. Great dumpster dive
the reason grocery stores have to refrigerate their eggs is because they have been washed. Washing removes the protective coating that allows them to set out on the counter. Those eggs might well be fine, all you have to do is put one in a glass of water, if it sinks, it is OK to eat, if it floats it is rotten. If it floats just above the bottom, it is still safe to eat, but it won't last long once it starts to rise. And if they don't want to eat them, they can crack them over their dogs food and the dogs will love them! It is good for their coats and their joint health!

Ok, so about eggs. Where did people keep eggs before refrigeration? On the counter, in barrels of water to over winter when the hens were too cold to produce them. It was pretty hot in the house in the good ole days. Float em and fridge em. Eggs also have a very long life. Many of the eggs you buy in the store are weeks, even a month old! The float test really only tests for age, if the eggs I have float, they get used for baking sooner rather later. They can even be beaten then frozen for later baking. The smell will tell you if they've spoiled when you crack em open. We used to have chickens and now I never worry about the age of eggs, just open them in a cup or bowl and give em a sniff if the smell doesn't get you where you're standing. I've only found about 3 spoiled eggs in 15 years. Those odds are pretty good. Keep having fun and looking forward to your next videos!

You can freeze bread. It’s not as fresh but it’s good for toast, French toast, grilled cheese. You can use it for sandwiches also. I just warm it up for a few seconds

My question is why do you need to touch everything twice before putting it in your vehicle? Instead of throwing things on the ground, why not directly into a box? Makes more sense to me.
Also, why do you both have on flip flops if you know you are going diving?
Also, why don’t you have a “diving kit” in your vehicle at all times? It could contain a box of gloves, a tub of handy wipes, masks (why don’t you wear them), paper towels, etc?

I agree with you Adam about the food crisis but sadly a lot of it is to do with some people not being able to afford food.
I think that it should be an offence for companies to dump food stuffs that are still in date and in good condition.
They should be told to donate to food banks and shelters. Pet food should be donated to animal shelters.
I know companies are wary that they may be sued if someone becomes ill from donated food but this issue can be addressed if shelters and food banks sign a waiver saying they will check all foods etc.
It’s so sad the amount of food stuffs and other goods that get dumped.

What people don't realise is that most of the time these dumpsters set in the sun all day and meat spoils very quickly especially chicken. It might. Be. Ok in the winter time here in Newengland but even that I'm not sure.

Hey guys i just wanted to say i never refrigerate my eggs ..I buy about 16dozen and they sit on my countertop and if you come across meat always good for the dogs ..Also we also we give our dogs 1 eggs a day on their dog food because dry dog food day after day can give your dogs problems ..They said dog food has really not much nutients ..I was listening to a vet talk about the dog food as well as cat food ..HUGS N BLESSINGS LOVES YOU ALL ...
