My grandfather was born just around 1900 , my father 1927 both said that life had got better and progress for the working man in conditions , pay and health care has led to a longer life expectancy more free time , maybe this winter will be like my childhood of the 70s , no electricity , piles of rubbish , little food and a demoralized nation ? Or the 80s recession , Thatchers greed and callousness and local societies breakdown ? I never miss the social and economic culture of my childhood , just the people that have passed .

I did not know Fred but from what I have seen of him on all of these videos and after reading his biography I have taken a dislike to his middle wife, Sue. She must have known what he was like and to try and change him is very annoying to me. He seems like one of the hardest working men you could meet and she is moaning about him not doing the pots.
