A man of courage and sheer reliability
can you imagine a migrant doing this?
If ever a man truly earned his wages it was Fred.
"The scaffold from other so-called steeplejacks look like a biplane is crashed into the chimney" 😂😂
Fred weighed 150 lbs. w/o his b.lls and 450 lbs. with them.
Надо было взорвать
The royal wedding was on my birthday Fred was a legend
2024, is that lad bigger than his flat cap yet?
The man had absolute balls of steel. Those overhangs were enough to scare me back down to ground level and he must have been fit
How the hell did he climb down them overhangs?? 😮
One of a kind 🍻
Is this how the safety harness was invented?
I’m an American from New Jersey and Fred has made me a better worker/man. I stumbled upon Fred about 4-5 years ago and ever since I watch every bit of Fred media I come across. Whenever I’m having a bad day or something is frustrating me, I think of Freds gloriously upbeat demeanor and his ability to laugh at hard times and problems and keep pushing forward through hard work and it makes me out a smile on and finish my task with a laugh. Thank you Fred for helping me and others with just your hard work and ability to laugh and smile through it all.
My god we need Fred back....a true gentleman and what was once the backbone of this now defeated country...RIP Fred..!!!!!
Not to critique this phenomenal man, but I was told in my young days to grab the rungs of the ladder instead of the outside rails? Was I wrong?
..before health & safety was invented
Just image that, been able to access the ladder straight off the street level.
The pollution those chimneys ploughed out is the reason why the climate is finished ✅
That dude didn't get paid enough.
How'd I exhausted watching him climb that?
Britain - built by men in overalls, ruined by men in suits.
I never met this wonderful engineer, yet he is one of the few people i miss most.
I’ve just built a factory right next to this It still looks the same
Fuck a harness.
Fuck the shit out of that.
No words can express what an amazing human being Fred was... What he did on a daily basis is impossible to 99% of humanity... I don't think that there will ever be another Fred again... He was a once in a lifetime individual.....
What a hero, our Fred, an absolute star in the working mans eyes. God bless you Fred and may you rest in peace. I am so glad I met you once.
Strong men create good times🙏🏼
Fred Dibnah was an incredible man. Strong men create good times🙏🏼
I wish we could have seen him attaching the ladder to the overhang!
Born and bred in Bolton. We have saying around these parts that fits well with this amazing spectacle - ‘You fucking shithouse.’ I’d like to think Fred uttered it a time or 2 in his life. Whet a legend.
I admire a professional man with strong arms and legs. Climbing a ladder vertically requires a lot of strength

what does he want up there?
The crazy part is he put all them ladders up there before this!!
By eck them were the days , when men were men and women did as they were told 😆
Ive seen footage of him at the beginning of climbing a tall chimney, still with a cigarette butt in his mounth, what a legend
What a great man and always a pleasure to watch him whatever he was doing
back when english men were tough
I get wobbly legs just watching. R I P FRED......LEGEND.!!!
Oh my 😮 can you imagine doing this while severely,, brutally hungover ? 😩
I dont seem to be seeing a safety rope in case he slips.
That's cause he knew he wouldn't slip.
I can barely stand to watch this.
There's still plenty of us out there with an oily rag and dirt under the fingernails, but we are becoming a dying breed!
Fred's saying HE invented that pulley contraption but I came up with that a while ago. He probably got the idea from mine.
Watched all these series the first time round with my dad as a kid. My dad loved him and was fascinated by him.
Das ist das "Gegenstück zu unserer "Lilli Marleen".
Free soloing before it was cool
Donald deserves respect! No delay knowing they’d been working exactly 33 days and lowered 1071 buckets 😮
IM 56 NOW AND I GET PUFFED OUT BENDING OVER TO DO UP ME SHOE LACES 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
