Changing Out Dryers at the Tiny Laundromat!

- It has taken a very long time but we are finally removing the old giant 80 year old Cissell Dryers and moving in some slightly newer Speed Queen stackable dryers! The old Cissells got very hot but were incredibly inefficient and parts almost impossible to get if and when they break. One was already broken and not working. I bought the other machines from a out of business laundromat along with many other machines I am using in my other laundromat.

YIKES!! What a clusterf*k!! I'm always amazed at how calm you sound... best of luck moving forward.
Cut the old dryers in half with a sawzall to get them through the door and sell them for scrap.
I'm obsessed with these laundrymats! 😂😂😂
This is the moment I’ve been waiting for! I would’ve gone office space on the antique Cissell dyers before they went to the scrap yard.
Business is going to be booming now !!!
Hope so!
Hell yes !!! Love the laundromats !!
Hope get the old ones out. Good thing they were removed due to the wood flooring was falling apart. Can’t wait to see the updated look inside the laundromat. The towns people will be happy to see the new upgrades.
Great progress! I would have thought those dryers would have broken down more to enable removal, but....LOL!
Now is a great time for a deep clean behind the driers.
yup
Yeah!!! Progress!!! Congratulations Mark. Stairs, too.
Maybe use the torch to cut the dryers in half since nobody wants them, nice to see this positive step, looking better, even the flooring has kinda grown on me over the past year, lol.
It's exciting watching these laundromat businesses develop.
Nice! Finally, I've been anticipating for this to happen for a long time! Glad you are finally making progress.
Crazy idea, but why don't you move the one stack Dexter dryers over to where that gap in the wall is, and put a third set of Speed Queen dryers at the end? I know it would require a lot of reventing and reconnecting, but I think it would be worth it! That's if you want to, of course! ❤
Wow, you sure have a lot going on! It is really fun to see all these projects and how they turn out! You certainly deserve all your success because you are very hard-working and you just keep going and figuring things out! It’ll be fun to see when you get the entire laundromat all working again with the car wash and vacuum and all that, I bet you’ll see the revenue go way up at that point ! How exciting to be able to rent out that back building as well! Looks like things are looking up at that laundromat!
A sawzall is surprisingly quick for cutting huge metal things into pieces. Without fire or sparks.
Kersey getting some love. And the car wash reopening. Heck yea!
That window is coming out for sure .
All the best with this venture.
(I remember having to take the door frame down to move a fold a bed from Jake Jabs delivered long long ago😕)
Huge couch
@@georgiasmith64 I always wondered how the got the stand up piano, billard table ( double the size of a pool table with a slate bed) or full size wardrobe upstairs through the front window of a UK terrace house?
Were those snowflakes???
Oh, ok. You said it was snowing further into the video.
Yes but don't worry we still got our Thursday afternoon golf in 😅😅
@@investfourmore 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Got ta do what u got ta do!! 👍🏽😄😄😄
Wow! The before and after are so different! You've done a great job of rehabbing the laundromat! Can you take apart the old dryers to remove them? I'm not sure if the drums would be larger than the doorway though. I think it would be fun taking a sledgehammer to them 🤣
I hope you check them for quarters before they leave! Have seen so many videos of people buying vending machines and being surprised that the old owner never took the cash/change out
Yes we found some change. Mostly nickles
Looking good!
They sell a conversion kit change hopper (vs that stacked holder) for the Coffee Inns changer. You can also get a kit to make it take bigger bills.
that would be nice
That tiny laundromat seems to demand a significant commitment of time and effort with a less than satisfactory return.
for now
Dang.. Snowing.
I been wearing shorts for like a month lol. Its 66 right now at 5am. Mid-high 70s for a high.
It was 80 here last week
Mark I could easily dismantle the machines, do not take out the window. Unscrew, cut bolts and screws piece by piece
Exciting.
WOW! 🤗
Will be interesting to see how much of a difference the new dryers make to the cost of utilities. Do they use less gas / electric? If so, how much will they save you?
We shall see
6:09 You could start a wind chime museum. Charge 25¢ and collect a couple more quarters each week. A circular saw with a metal cutting blade could cut those machines down to removable bits pretty quick. That would probably be easier than removing the window.
Break out the window. Then you just have to replace the glass.
I need to buy a landromat.
Didn't you post a community post of how you completely redesigned Kersey?
That was a joke 😅😅😅
@@investfourmore Oh lol
Why is that upper dryer out of order? Can you swap parts with the lower dryer and make it work?
Has a bad valve or something. it is a more serious repair needed
I see you have a old GE and a whirlpool commercial washer from the 1980s or 90s
there are other means of cutting besides the torch
Angle grinder
Reciprocating saw with metal cutting blade; just watched Cole the Cornstar cut a huge 1/4 inch thick metal water tank out of his basement, no other way to get it out of his historic house.
Just thought you would like to know, YT decided to unsubscribe me.
