- It’s well known that the North Fork Championship is one of the rowdiest and most well-respected proving grounds in whitewater kayaking. The race takes place on a section of the Payette River in Idaho known as Jacob’s Ladder, which is famous for its massive features. This year, the record runoff had some competitors worried. But once Dane Jackson threw down the gauntlet in the first round, all the competitors quickly followed suit, as this recap from River Roots makes clear.

This is the greatest whitewater kayaking video of all time. Change my mind.
Here are several kayaking videos that I think are better:

Holy Shit! I've never seen a slalom race like that before. I guess it was slalom? Great job everybody!
sick edit!
Strong competitors means an amazing race! Way to go tribe!
There was that time the NURPU boyz paddled all 25 miles in a day, Sat it out after having put my finger in a power planer peeling logs, drank whiskey, smoked pot, carried the throw bags, and forgot to press record.......ahhh the 90's!
sorry, crap edit for drama, rather see the lines run in real time with longer time segments.
Dice of death down lane of life
Fun to watch but I think I'll stay dry for the moment. LOL...
I'm surprised that spectators haven't fallen into the Payette River and swept away. Also, I like the guy that has to tuck his ears in his hat to get it to fit LOL...
That actually happens all the time on most popular whitewater. Don't know anything specific about the Payette but yea it probably has happened.
Where were the women compititors Outside ?!?
No kidding, too much bro action.
