oh my, this choreography is amazing compared to her last one! i just wish she’d control her wrist/forearm movements so as to not look so abrupt/spastic. her lines, her toe point, everything is just beautiful!
Her arms/wrists always remind me of Shannon Miller.. Like a constant exclamation point. It works sometimes.. Other times I wish it were softer and floatier (if that makes sense) lol

My God, Riley is absolutely stunning on floor. Her lines and grace are beautiful to watch. She has improved so much compared to the last years. I really hope that she manages to peak at the Olympics next year. She'd deserve it 👏
Simone may have it in difficulty but rileys beauty on floor is unrivaled in my opinion. This was stunning!

Mustaches May I also agree with the above commenter (pink pointe) that Riley looks a lot “healthier” this season so far than she has in the past . She looks stronger and even healthier on the face. I don’t know how else to explain it. Less frail maybe?

She’s so much more powerful it seems and elegant as always. And the confidence is wonderful. I just love watching her perform. Love this new routine too. Suits her style perfectly.

Love this routine for Riley! I think it totally fits her style and is a refreshing change from the typical choreography we see from MG Elite!
This is PERFORMANCE quality. Riley is awesome on floor. Now just time for those upgrades (double layout!).
Noah Byrd her training vids show her doing a DLO so maybe we will see it at Nats and worlds? It would help her a lot I’m sure.
Noah Byrd She did the DLO before in her last routine so I don’t think it’d count as an upgrade? They probably took it about because it wasn’t getting all the way around

I mean I guess you could say that, but to me upgrades are upgrades from where her current routine is at. But besides the double layout, she hopes to move her full/twisting double pike into her third pass where her regular double pike is! But yeah I’m just looking forwards to those upgrades/improvements.
Over rotating her Full twisting double back could be a good sign to upgrade for a Silvias which would increase her difficulty by 0.3

Artistry gives you higher scores so if she exaggerates like that the judges will love her routine even more
She was the best in my opinion. But at the and....i like them all....what a great sport: it demands everything from you: power, technique, rhythm, flexibility... . These are powerwoman.

These days I mostly fast forward through most gymnasts' choreography to get to their tumbling passes, but not Riley. This is routine is something special.
She's easily my favorite US gymnast of the current quadrennium, and quite possibly my favorite gymnast worldwide currently competing. Her floor work is absolute art.

She's a fabulous gymnast and I love her on bars, but somehow I don't really like to watch her on floor. It feels really spastic and tense to watch, not really a soft flow to it like say Eythora Thorsdottir would bring with her artistic ballet-like dancing on floor.
I hope she grows out of that, though.
Suzanne I agree. Riley seems to have so much artistic/elegant potential but it just doesn’t seem to come out the right way. Other than that, she looks good.

D Leo no, she said that Eythora doesn’t have spastic movements. But Riley does. I agree. I immensely dislike Riley’s floor routines and how she performs them. She’s way too stiff and the movements are completely unnatural. Eythora is a dream to watch
Misógina internalizada Opresora héteropatriarcal I wish they’d learn proper ballet arm/wrists to make it flow and be softer. Very few gymnast have it naturally and it should be taught to them all!
I love Eythora, bless her. But, I do cringe when she performs floor because she will do all of this elaborate dancing and then fall on 1-2 of her passes. The package is not a complete one and not a good comparison example to Riley, unless you want to compare fall averages on floor.
my knees hurt by only seeing this...
She is good at technic in choreography (legs and arms straight) but she looks very rigid!! Even running looks like a robot, and she is losing power in flic flac (very short), so she doesnt go high for acrobatics

Gutsu wasn't known for her elegance but I'd take her over this overtrained overstylised performance. Nice leg extension though

Noah She has upgrades, but she has a long season with PanAms, nationals, and worlds selection camp. So she’s saving her body, and will bring the upgrades later this season.
Pretty choreography! Very nice! AND THANK GOD FOR THE NEW MUSIC SELECTION FOR THIS YEAR. The music for her for the past 2 years were dreadful and depressing.

Beautiful dance and lines, wish this style was still favored in the code of points, it’s a beautiful sport. But all the huge tumbling with some arm movements should be called ‘power gymnastics’ and ‘artistic gymnastics’ can go back to being artistic lol

Her choreography is more about poses, very rigid, ugly hand movements. And she's having a problem with her flic flac, is high and short and is not giving her room for acrobacies.
