  • I can’t believe it’s finally time, but after a year and a half of playing this game, I have finally made it to the ending of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I couldn’t be more excited about the conclusion of this game and getting some answers to some long-asked questions.
We start off the episode by closing out the last couple side quests that I had open. First I upgraded Eunie’s blade so now everyone’s weapon is as enhanced as possible. Now, we’re as ready as we can be to face off with Consul Z as the final boss.
Then, we head over to Shillshill the Nopon so that we can finally get the results of the Nopon Register quest. Apparently, the color of the stones tells her how the Pons are feeling about us at the time. Red means stay away, blue means stick to the status quo, and yellow means harmony. I won’t tell you what our results were here, but I think we all know that I wanted them all to be yellow across the board.
Finally, with the last little bits of housekeeping out of the way, we finally board the Bravery and set sail for the Origin. This, evidently, requires a steep drop off the side of an ocean cliff of which seemingly only Riku was aware. He also did not deem it necessary to warn any of the rest of the gang that it was happening so it was a total surprise. Riku is hilarious.
We receive a lot of back up from all the friends we made along the way, especially Ghondor and the City folk. And we need the support because Origin puts up quite the fight in return. It’s not at all surprising, but it implements quite the defense system in order to prevent us from infiltrating it. It really pulls out all the stops.
But eventually, we make it to Origin and arrive in its center. Now our only missions are tracking down the real Kevesi Queen, Melia, and fighting Consul Z so we can save the world. This requires that we navigate through a massive area that is absolutely crawling with enemies at every turn. Thankfully, we’re of a high enough level that they weren’t too challenging for me, but every single one that saw us did engage with us.
This resulted in a crazy long process where I slowly picked my way through Origin, sneaking where I could, fighting where I couldn’t, and seeking out Unique Monsters so that we can just knock those off the list now. All in all, the entire finale process took seven and a half hours to film and I did end up needing to cut that in half so that I could do this ending justice. Which means that my final showdown with N is where we leave off on this episode.
Ultimately, this is an exciting start to the thrilling conclusion to this game. While it’s not over yet, I’m already sad to have to start saying goodbye. Next to the Witcher, this is the longest running playthrough I have on this channel, and it will be hard to say goodbye when the time comes.
So if you like cliffhangers, high-concept sci-fi/fantasy worlds, and/or answered questions, then this episode of my Xenoblade Chronicles 3 playthrough episode is for you!

New outfits and N misfits in this Episode of Xenoblade 3
YEEEEEEAAAAAAH NOAH MIO MIIBOS!!!! JOIN THE CLUB!!!
Of course Mio needs no man, she already has Noah
What is it they call this fit? Cunty, right? Their outfits are Cunty.
Omg it's Jenna Coleman aka Clara aka Queen Victoria (fitting)
Since you've already played the whole thing (assuming not including post game)
What they're saying is Z is anxiety turned human. Like Virgil from the Thomas Sanders Sides
Well more specifically he's anxiety over the future, formed from the thoughts of all the souls that get reincarnated. Like who hasn't thought about just living now over thinking about the future. So his will is on the basis of all the souls in two worlds wanting to live now, while Ouroboros are the will of those who want to make a path for the future.
Oh yeah, Origin is like a biggest hard drive containing the souls of two worlds, that of Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2
Well, there was only 1 N, and there's multiple of them

Woo!! New outfits!! We look incredible, too.
Those miibos are where it's at!! I just wish they had gotten here sooner lol
She don't need no man, her man needs her lbr
I so wish the US didn't hate the word cunt so I could have described those fits properly
I completely forgot Jenna Coleman was Melia! Holy crap that fun fact got me again!
      Correct, no post game yet!
Yeah, that becomes clearer a little later on lol
Kind of ironic that the name of the side that wants to go to the future is the same as the name of a creature that symbolizes cycles and rebirth. You would think that the side that wants the endless now and literally uses a cycle of rebirth to maintain this endless now would be called Ouroboros but perhaps that was a bit too on the nose?
I did understand that Origin basically held the worlds of the first two games' worlds, they explained that pretty well thankfully
It took me a while to process the whole N/Noah thing, but I feel like I've fully wrapped my head around it now lol

Oh yeah, this game also has a main plot, kinda forgot about it.
Also yes, cutscene music drowning dialogs is a Xenoblade staple at this point. At least in 2 and 3, you can manually balance music and dialog audio separately (which I always do at the start of every game because I know Monolith Soft will always make music louder than dialogs by default). In X, there was only one general volume slider, music audio was about twice as loud as dialogs AND a lot of music had English lyrics in them, some cutscenes you only had subtitles to rely on to understand what the hell people were saying under the music.

    • @latettgame
      @latettgame  Před 3 měsíci

Right?! I kind of did, too
I didn't know that I could balance the music and the dialogue in the settings, so that's good to know!
The music in X drowning out everything is hysterical to me I love it

Okay we are in the final parts of the main story! Which means its time to asnwer some of your questions, specificaly what Melia was talking about around 39:00 (also im sorry, this ones alot longer than usual)
So basically what Melia was saying is that in Aionios emotions are what shapes the reality of that world, this is seen both in plenty of side quests (specificaly the ones related to off-seers) and the main story, most notably being Z and the Moebius, whos whole existance is derived from the fact that the collective minds of all the souls in Origin were afraid of the 2 worlds ending, which in turn (via using Origin to achieve that) created Aionios.
Now there is quite alot more to this as well as Z true purpose in it all, but that would spoil the lore of the entire trilogy and the future redeemed dlc so thats all i can say on that front.
Now as i said the reason why emotions have such a strong effect on Aionios is due to Origins presence, you might've noticed this but origin metal acts as an emulator to allow people to reshape the world and bend its rules to their desire, as is shown with Noah and his lucky 7, most notably being when he decided he truly wanted to destroy this world, which allowed him to use the full power of Bethany.
Another good example is how Noah and Mio were able to keep reincarnating even after they both had their homecomings, or how we have another Noah and Mio due to being created trough N and M's regret of becoming Moebius.
Aka Origin is like a type of metal that can (when imbued with emotions) bend reality to the weilders desire.
As for Melias comment on "everything is real" that is true, the landmass that makes up Aionios is that of the 2 worlds, the people in it are real even if they function quite differently, what with all the flame clocks and mass production of child soldiers ect. And of course what they expirience is real even if they initaly dont remember it (as is shown with characters like Camurravi, Ethel, Eunie, Mwamba and Ashera)
Now i know you said you finished the game already but im gonna talk about the other stuff when part 2 is out just to keep things nice and tidy, that and i imagen you are still processing the game as a whole! Anyways crazy to think i found this lets play when you were around ep 13 it sure has been a loooong ride, cant wait to see how you react to the finale! Once again sorry for making you (or anyone else) read trough all this but at the same time thanks!

I always welcome a long comment! I appreciate the effort 😄
I believe I did understand most of what she was saying in the end, but this phrasing is so clear, so I really appreciate it cause I feel like I more fully understand it now.
Also I love that you called her Bethany, I mean it is her name after all
"Origin is like a type of metal that can (when imbued with emotions) bend reality to the weilders desire" is such a clear way to explain that, thank you! I got that general sense, but this makes it make so much more sense.
The end of the game really clarified the "everything is real" comment to me, the finale really helps put things in the right light
But also it's super sad. I won't say much more because, like you, I'm saving that for part 2, but it really is a roller coaster of emotions type of ending. Thanks for sticking with me this long. You're right it's been a loooong ride but it's been worth it! And thanks for the explanations! I really appreciate you taking the time to write it out

@@latettgame No problem, glad i can share all the neat details of this game!
Yeah the name Bethany really caught on for me 😂
Yeah out of the 4 games in the series, 3 expects you the most to just sit down and mull over alot of its stuff, which can often get pretty overwhelming/confusing. I hope for the next game they give us a codex, like the one in the Mass Effect games, cuz i think it would help alot in keeping track, but also adding onto, all the worldbuilding and lore.
Oh the ending is so good, and thank you for making this lets play! Its been a treat seeing someone play this game blindly before the others

I really like that with this Noah becomes an Oroboros-Moebius like Mio.
I do have to question though why Z went through the trouble of saving N before, only to throw him against the heroes who previously beat him without any real changes? Did he expect things would go differently? I kinda wish we got a fight against a moebius-form version of N here.
I find it pretty funny that Nelia essentially is the regal, royal and solemn figure Nia tries to be.
40:30 Riku is just an ordinary Nopon...

I like that, too! I like that they match now, cause they need to always match or mirror each other.
That's actually a really great point. He didn't put N through any additional training or anything, he just kind of expected him to suceed this time. Moebius N would have been so cool to see, it does seem like a bit of a missed opportunity.
That is funny. They're both so charming in their own ways

@@joelsasmad When did N he use his sword of Origin before the Origin fight?
The sword of Origin is specifically the sword form, that Noah pulls out of his chest in his ouroboros form and N uses in the second phase of his Origin fight. It‘s not to be confused with the Sword of the End, which is Lucky Seven and its dark counterpart.
