  • Here it is folks! The final fight against the ultimate boss in Xenoblade Chronicles 3! We’re finally facing off against Consul Z! It’s a very exciting time.
I’ve been playing this game since it was released in August of 2022, so it’s been quite a long time coming to finally reach this moment. I have grown to love this game and the people in it, and it’s going to be hard to let them go when the time comes.
But that time hasn’t come quite yet, and right now, we have an evil personification of negative human emotion to deal with. And it is most definitely a process. First, we had to reach the Origin in the first place. The Bravery is built well, but the Origin is built to fend off any attempt at investigation.
Still, with the support of our allies, we end up making it to the Origin. From there, we had to navigate this enormous structure to locate Melia, the real Queen of Keves. The path to get there was perilous, and we basically had to fight every enemy we met because they engaged us all. It was quite the process, but it was only the first half of it.
Now we freed the Queen, we are able to move on to fighting Z. Much like the path to Melia, the path to Z is paved with many enemies. This time, though, we meet some familiar faces as well. It seems that Consuls X and Y aren’t done getting their asses kicked so they came back for seconds. Dummies.
With those two out of the way, we’re able to finally make our way to the old man theater where Z seems to live. We’re finally gonna kick him out and put on a movie that we want to watch!
But before we can do that, we must first take Z down. This in itself is another involved process. The dude kept interrupting to talk at us like we’re even interested in listening to what he has to say. After a lot, and I mean a lot, of talking and somehow even more fighting, we finally made it to the end.
We defeated Z and ended the endless now.
I’m not going into the end of the game, mostly because I think I won’t do it justice in this summary, but also a little because I don’t feel like it. All that needs to be said is that it was beautiful and sweet and heartbreaking.
So if you like epic battles, emotional goodbyes, and/or long awaited endings, then this episode of my Xenoblade Chronicles 3 playthrough episode is for you!

Congrats, it's rare to find xc3 let's play from first timer perspective. Looking forward to watch the previous games playthrough too, or maybe you already finished it? Either way, can't wait for my favorite one (xc2)

Thank you so much for watching! I haven't gotten to the first two yet, but I'm planning on starting one of them (haven't decided which yet) in the very near future!

Congrats on finishing the main story of Xenoblade 3! It's been a long journey to say the least.
Good thing you did every quest before facing Z, because as you can imagine that extremely long fight would have been even more drawn out otherwise. Imagine making it to the final phase and then dying, so you'd have to try again all the way from the beginning.

    • @latettgame
      @latettgame  Před 2 měsíci +1

Thank you! It really has been a very long journey
I agree, I definitely would have struggled more if I didn't do literally everything before I faced off with Z. It's long enough as it is lol
While I didn't die in the final phase with Z, I do know that pain from the battle with Dettlaff in the Witcher 3. At one point, I just had to get up and walk away

Congratulations on beating this game on hard! Can't wait to see what's next for Xenoblade after the post-game content of 3!
Honestly you can't go wrong, be it Xenoblade 3's DLC story, Future Redeemed, which on one hand admittedly IS steeped in series-wide lore implications, but on the other hand, it'd be a unique perspective to see how well it holds up on its own from the point of view of someone who has only played XC3, or just a brand new (older) Xenoblade adventure!

    • @latettgame
      @latettgame  Před 2 měsíci +1

I can't believe I did it on hard! They really do mean it when they say it's going to be hard
I'm excited to see what they have in store for us as well! I love that I finished the game but I still have more game
While I think it would be interesting to go in to Future Redeemed completely blind, I think I may spend most of my time just really confused, so I'm leaning toward the older ones first

I know this is very late but Life has been really kicking my butt lately:
Congratulations on defeating Z and beating the game!🎉
The end is genuinely one of the few video game experiences I've has that has made me cry and that is the highest praise I could give.
One of my few nitpicks is that I feel like it should have been made a little clearer before the very end that the universes would separate and they could've made more use of that.
I feel like it could have even set up the Z fight to been so much more impactful. Imagine, after the first part of the Z fight, where he assaults each character with the trauma and complexes they have already overcome on this journey, that he then pushes on the idea that if they win they will lose all their memories and experiences, the very ones that allowed them to grow as they have. They would return to the people they used to be before meeting each other. Only this time they would never be able to meet again.
It is also a bit weird how they push the idea of Moebius being a concept in the shape of people rather than the person themselves. We have Triton, Joran, Irma, and N/M all as examples of Moebius who are more than that.
My biggest nitpick though... is no huge 6 man Ouroboros! I really thought it would happen.
Nitpicks aside, this has been a truly wonderful game and I look forward to seeing you play the DLC for it one day.

I also wanted to point out that Noah and Mio are both offseers, and how important that is to the messaging of the game. Helping people let go and move on with their lives has literally been their job description from the very beginning and defeating Moebius is just doing that on the grandest scale.
Also I really like a certain aspect of the metaphor going on with Moebius. Despite Z doing all of this to lock the world in stasis the annihilation events were still going on the entire time. It is not actually possible to hold life in place no matter how hard you try and trying to only dooms you to a slow and terrible end. Aside from the Annihilation events we see this with Triton. Despite the fact that he is a supposedly immortal Moebius, he clearly shows signs of age, just got there slower than most.

I'm sorry to hear that life put on the steel-toed boot for you, but I'm always happy to get a comment from you
      Thank you 🥳
That was an incredibly sad ending that probably would have made me cry if I wasn't actively trying to make jokes, and I agree, that's the highest praise possible
I agree, it did feel a bit like a missed opportunity to push that concept more in the story
Z telling them that after the first part of the fight and then them choosing to fight him anyway because they know it's the right thing to do should have been included. Now that you wrote it, I can totally see that fitting perfectly in the game
Also, I didn't know I wanted Mega-Ouroboros until I read the idea and now I'm devastated that it wasn't included. I feel like that's another thing that seems like it would fit perfectly in the theme
I'm so pumped to eventually get to the DLC! I just have two, tiny little 60-hour games in between me and it
Noah and Mio being offseers and it really does make sense that the two who were the leaders of their revolution would be the ones who helped people let go and move on
I wish they talked about Annihilation Events more because of how terrifying they are, but also because they do so well in representing Z's inability to keep the endless now truly endless
You know, now that you say that, I wonder if Triton really chose to leave on his own, or if he was forced out because he was showing more signs of aging than the others. Probably not, but that would be a cool, sad detail in his backstory

I think it's cute that Sena tried to flirt with Lanz a little, the two autistic muscle babies of the bunch don't really get romance, but they do love each other, in their own way.
And Eunie actually called Taion her lucky clover, that's why he's her FOURTH best bud, he's not the first, but he's the most precious.

    • @latettgame
      @latettgame  Před 22 dny +2

I think I just see Sena and Lanz as such perfect besties that they didn't need romance. They're platonic soulmates and it's adorable
Someone else said something similar and it made me feel MUCH better that Eunie was actually complimenting him. That went right over my head at the time lol

Congrats on finishing the game! Some people already mentioned some of the stuff i wanted so i guess less typing for me 😂
So the song that plays during the ending is "Where we belong" and just like the other one its sang from Noahs perspective. The ending (as you saw) is very bittersweet, like what do you mean they dont get to be together after everything they went trough.
It hurts even more when you see Taion falling to his knees towards the end after they stop running. Actually the ending is filled with alot of tiny details, like the fact Triton doesnt appear bc he is Moebius 😔
And finally i am excited to see you do postgame! I do recommend stocking up on silver nopon coins trough the land of challenge, if i remember right 1 coin costs 500 red/blue noponstone. You maybe already have done the grind but yeah just in case you havent you can use the nopon coins instead.
And yeah thats it for now atleast, thanks for making this lets play!

    • @latettgame
      @latettgame  Před 2 měsíci +2

Thank you! It feels good to have finished it but in like a bad way
I think I should look up the lyrics to Where We Belong so I can fully appreciate the song, because too much was going on for me to truly listen to it. It was thematically appropriate though because that ending was so upsetting. I can't believe they separated Riku and Manana.
That little Taion fall was so upsetting, it was really clear how desperate he was to outrun the worlds separating. Also I didn't notice that Triton wasn't there and I keep forgetting that he's Moebius! He's meant to just always be there
Thanks for the advice! I did some grinding, but not a lot, so I'll have to be working hard to get more of them Nopon coins
Thank you for watching and commenting ☺

Aight I'm back from binging this person's entire playthrough because the edits are this good, and its now the last episode (of the main story)!
(Just like Ouroboros, we return to where it started)
    Like Mother Like Daughter
I mean you're not wrong, The thoughts of every man woman and child in those cubes is probably very old.
Aurora Borealis is just as insane as his boss, Aurora Ethel
AH yes, the very cool thing. Yelling and sharing the same brain cell to try and go Ouroborus. Very cool. (Absolutely cool and they are my favourite dumbasses for it.)
I mean, it's like the don't attack the transforming hero if the transformation is like an attack.
    I'mma get myself water
You're gonna make a Robot in Disguise joke and not put in a Transformers sting?
No, you've been playing this game over the course of 76 episodes, 17 minisodes and a number of shorts.
Hey, Remember when Eunie said she likes collecting FOURtune. Perhaps there's a reason why FOUR eyes Taion is her FOURTH favourite person?
Yes,That's the Xenoblade called the Monado held by Shulk (slightly different to the one he uses in Smash for plot related reasons)
This truly has been, A Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Can't wait for post game that I haven't gotten to and whatever new series you will put out after it.

Thank you so much 😭 I remember your first comment all those months ago and showing it to my sister because it made me so happy and now look how far we've come
You could say we're returning to the... origin
Without the impatience clouding my vision, I think that scene was sweet and was a nice moment of comic relief. I can't say I appreciated it in the moment tho lol
But, sadly, I don't think they're having as pleasant as a time as the old people in Futurama
I can't believe it took be this long to see who Aurora Borealis really is. Or where he really is (Skinner's kitchen)
Lol I think I was thinking of the moment where they both dived for Mio and Noah to save them from K and then transformed
But them sharing their only braincell to try to yell the Ouroboros out of them is pretty great too
It makes a lot of sense that the transformation would do damage as well, but still it seems to be when he's at his most vulnerable
      Mmmm water *Homer drool sound*
I'm embarrassed that I missed that opportunity lol it was right there
Good god, summarized like that it's totally insane! The only longer playthrough on this channel is the Witcher
I choose to accept that Eunie put Taion fourth because that means she actually likes him best, I get too sad otherwise
I can't wait to play the other two games and understand all the references in reverse
These really were the Chronicles of our Xenoblade... 3
Thank you so much for sticking with me through basically the entire playthrough ☺

Funny detail: If you didn't do Eunie's Ascension quest, X won't show up in Origin.
And you were spot on with your quote. Kid Noah literally vanishes upon walking towards Mio's melody, if you look closely.
And a reminder: Play Future Redeemed AFTER you played XC2 and XC1. You'll thank me for it.

    • @latettgame
      @latettgame  Před 3 měsíci +1

That is a fun detail! I can't imagine not doing all of the main characters' Ascension Quests even if all the others get skipped
I didn't notice that but you're so right that's exactly what happens! The next game is just a straight detective game about searching for little Noah and it just plays out like a Law and Order episode
Yes that is the plan! I do know there's some post game content that isn't related to Future Redeemed, so that's what I'll be doing and then I'll be doing the other two!

It's so funny that I covered up his disappearance with a joke about him disappearing. Someone else pointed out to me that he just vanishes in that scene and I didn't even notice until I went back and looked for it
What a vague and confusing ending for such an adorable little baby child
