    How about Xgimi Halo Plus? I been thinking either Mogo 2 Pro or Halo+. Halo is more bright but doesn’t have USB-C so can’t use my power bank. I been thinking of this for outdoor use mostly because have used Xgimi Horizon Pro as living room projector few years. When was Mogo 2 Pro and Halo+ released? Is it possible that Xgimi would release something new portable soon..

    Hello Chigz
    I ordered both models for testing, the standard model for €253 and the pro model for €369 refurbished directly from XGIMI.
    what is your opinion ? I think for €116 difference there isn't much to think about which one I should keep, right? I think the pro. What do you think about that ?

    Manage to order them both and ended up returning the pro version. Why you might ask...well I wanted a projector for a dyi garden cinema that probably will be used once or two times a week. The image quality on the non pro is more than enough for a 150" screen. The mogo was aground 600euros and I manage to get the non version for about 270 so there you go, 330 euros difference. The colors on the non pro version are more appealing than the pro, another thing that made me keep the non pro version. If you stay close to the screen you can indeed see the image quality difference, but from 3-4m you cannot really tell.

      Wow, where did you get it so cheap? I look on German Amazon, the price for the pro version is 480€. Do you really not see the difference between 1080p and 720p, or does it not bother you?

    Got Mogo 2 and Mogo 2 Pro. Pro model HD resolution looks crispier than mogo, text and picture details are better and the Intelligent Screen Adaption 2.0 system works perfect.
    If you are on a budget mogo 2 is great deal. But i'd definitely recommend to look for HD version on sale.

    Hello, I read that the Mogo 2 shows vertical stripes, a grid of pixels, is it very noticeable and how does the Mogo 2pro deal with it? I also found a Play 3 on aliexpress, something like mogo 2, but with 1920*1080, well, Chinese and English firmware, so now I'm thinking about which one to choose, mogo 2 pro is very good, but the price difference is significant.

    • @ChigzTech

      Not experienced any grid of pixels on either unit. Not used the Play 3 but will check it out.

    • @user-ow2pj7ol5v
      @user-ow2pj7ol5v Před 6 měsíci

      It will still be possible to measure the width and height of the image from 3 meters, few places indicate this, I don’t understand why, the maximum I found is that 100 inches will be from 2.66 meters, I have a distance from 3 to 3.2 meters, but since I blew a hot air from the back, I hope 20 centimeters from the wall will be enough for him to work comfortably :)

      It happened to me , I experienced a grid of pixels , is it firmware or something else ??

    • @user-ow2pj7ol5v
      @user-ow2pj7ol5v Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@Victor-pq5kd I'm not sure what's wrong with the firmware. I am studying this issue a little while there are two versions why it is visible 1. the location of the projector, that is, if the projector is located behind you, it will be more visible, if you place the projector in front of you and stand at a certain distance behind it, approximately one meter, then the grid is not visible it will somehow be related to the chip size of 0.23. And the 2nd reason is the sensitivity of the eyes to this technology, often people complain about DLP projectors, sometimes the grid is visible, then the rainbow effect, there are cases when the eyes simply water when viewing, but you won’t notice this before buying, is there anyone to take two for a day to try!) I still ordered Play3, I hope everything will be fine :)

    • @user-ow2pj7ol5v
      @user-ow2pj7ol5v Před 5 měsíci

      @@Victor-pq5kd I received the XGIMI Play3 projector, bought at a discount on 11.11.23, well, the picture is great for $227. As for the grid of pixels, they are slightly visible, my conditions of use: the distance from the projector to the screen is 3 meters 20 centimeters, but I am sitting at a distance of 2.60-2.75 meters, the projection is about 120 inches, but since my screen is only 100 there is an inch one, then there is a lighting frame, but in my conditions it is not terrible, since the walls are dark, on light ones there could be discomfort! But when you place the projector at a distance of up to 2.45 meters, and you move away from the screen by 3.5 meters, the grid is no longer visible. Therefore, the conclusion is this, the data of the projector should be arranged so that you are at least a meter behind it, then everything is fine, no grid is visible, but my wife says that she does not notice anything even in the first case, so take into account the condition of your eyesight. I use it as I described in the first case and everything is fine, the grid is only barely noticeable and that only on light colors, more often on white than on color, but for this money it is simply great, if you ignore certain nuances of its Android system, then I recommend it! But still, if your conditions predict that the projector will be behind you, then you need to pay attention to projectors with a matrix of 0.33 inches and then everything will be clear and without questions, but also more expensive in terms of money!)

      Thanks for reaching out! When it comes to choosing a projector for your open garden restaurant, there are a few factors to consider such as brightness, resolution, and durability. I would recommend looking into projectors that are specifically designed for outdoor use and have high lumens to ensure visibility even in daylight. Try this one: amzn.to/41JIJzO

    The standard mogo 2 is perfect for Nintendo Switch gaming. It EATS power though, even a 65w 30,000mah battery only lasts about 1/2 to 3/4 of a full movie. That’s a real shame.

      Camera settings were exactly the same for both projectors. It seems like the non-pro colours were slightly oversaturated and pro colours were more accurate. This especially shows when playing UFC the skin tones were bad on the non-pro. But saying that both projectors produced great results. The pro in real life was more detailed but the non-pro was still very good.
