Check out Traycee Simmons video she is a type 4 that did a wash and go with one product (DevaCurl Super Stretch). I think Kimberly is like most of us and feel the need to use several products, I think she could do it b/c she has a gorgeous texture, but she is right we do have to invest in our mane!

I LOVE the Glaze for amazingly shiny and defined week long twistouts but will definitely try a wash-n-go at some point. As for the Super Stretch, with Glycerin as the 2nd ingredient, I definitely have to pass for now. But once I get a deluxe sample, I will try this combo in the cooler months this Fall. The gel might help combat the typical effects that glycerin (this high in the ingredients) can have on my styles.
i live in nyc and have used the super stretch for two wash and gos and had no issues.
Why are you avoiding Glycerin?
@@dauntlessbeautytv I'm one of the many naturals whose curls don't react well to high concentrations of Glycerin in leave-ins and stylers. My curls will start out looking great but will morph into a super soft frizzy undefined proof due to the extreme amount of moisture being attracted into my curls. Since Glycerin is a humectant that attracts moisture, during the humid months I take no chances and avoid glycerin 100% in my stylers and leave-ins. Once the cooler months arrive and moisture levels in the air subside, I'm able to use some products that contain Glycerin but have best results when it falls below the top 5 in the product ingredients list.

I love that glaze sooo much every time I go to do a twist out I grab it and it makes me want to do a wash n go so bad but it’s winter and I gotta protective style and it literally lasts sooo long. It’s totally worth the money

I'm almost out of the glaze I use it for everything.... twist ,wash and go,edges, braid out !!! 💋💙💙💙💙💙💙LOVE IT !! THE MANE CHOICE NEVER LET ME DOWN. Its pricey but well worth it and it doesn't take much so i think it basically balances out as far as the price is concerned.

Try a Twash n go... it’s doing a half twist out then defining the other half and letting it dry and then it just stretches your roots yet has the wash n go look because your ends are defined 😍😍

Now question : what do you feel makes the hair stiff after a really good wash, because sometimes I have the same reaction as you did waking up and the hair is stiff and have to work to get it to look right again.

PSA FOR ALL MY HEAVY HANDED PRODUCT PEOPLE (me being included): the container looks small but the stuff is so thick that you don’t even need a lot of it so don’t just go scooping handfuls of it out, just work it in and it will coat all of your strands. 👌🏽😁

Um can you try putting gel and oil on dry hair that has been detangle underneath running water. do not touch after detangled under running water let it drain naturally ( no cloth on hair to assist drying the hair) and naturally dry. Then massage product on!!!! I tried it with just oil and I looked great . I have 4c4c hair too... plus you don’t have to wait until gel is completely dry. Trust!!!!!

I did the same thing; bought it and didn't use it for at least a month or 2. When I finally tried it for a twistout, I was blown away by my results. I used the DevaCurl Decadence Leave-in and the Glaze and that's it. Yes, you've been sitting on gold!

What blow dryer do you use and can you do a video showing how you use it. Also thanks for sharing the secrets with us. I’m trying the praying hands method next time I do my wash and go. I usually just try to get product from root to tip and end up flaky. Hope this helps

Hi I realize that this is a older tutorial however I am just seeing it. I also have issues with my hair becoming minimally absorbent of products following my pre poo which do have Oils in them. I do shampoo with a sulfate free shampoo after the pre-poo step. I am wondering if I should clarify instead sulfate-free. What do you think? Also since the pre poo cocktail is my own DYI which have oils in it, would you recommend clarifying and using the pre poo cocktail step closer to the end of my hair regimen since my hair feels great and detangles with much more ease ? Thanks for this video I really love the way the combo loved on your hair and I want to show love for my hair too!
