Thanks To Dan and Mr. Beast for working together and help lots of people all over.
I just can't wrap my head around the fact that any other filmmaker/youtuber alive would have sold this 3 hours information through a masterclass or course for at least 300$ but you just gave it to us for free. I don't have enough words to thank you Dan. This is philanthropy. Most impactful filmmaking Philanthropy I've ever witnessed in this platform. Really, I'm without words. Thank you so much.
Thanks @dan! I actually purchased your masterclass (amazing) and happy to see another great product here too. Thanks for sharing
Pero hola vale antonio, tu tambien haces mucho de esto, de regalar informacion increiblemente valiosa, eres lo mas mejor que hay.
Can you imagine the ad revenue if 50% of his viewers watch 50% of this course?
No te hagas...tú también ayudas y enseñas un montón, de gratis bro 🤭
Thanks, this produced much needed positive energy , and lit up many more ideas for me.

@@NavierPatterson hahahaha no you do not, I was the worst student. I just downloaded the video, transcribed it with timecodes using Whisper and then gave the transcript to an LLM. Then all I had to do was ask it to summarise it in a specific way with youtube compatible timestamps.
I AM IN TEARS! This video came to me in a complete moment of serendipity. I was all fired up to start my channel on YT and Insta, but didn't know where to start. I was thinking of learning some video editing software to begin with(now I laugh at that thought). And then, I came across a reel on Insta where the guy said "Dan Mace should name this video from mastering the art of filmmaking to mastering the art of content creation." And boy was he right. I watched this video in 3 days, took 10 pages of notes, and learned more than I ever thought I could. Thank you for sharing this knowledge that will help people like me who want to begin filmmaking but don't have the know-how. It has given me clarity on my content creation journey. You are truly an amazing person. I hope I will work with you one day. Godspeed!
You have outlined my thoughts better than I would. This video right here is a GOLD MINE. As someone who had failed once at CZcams, I am super thankful to have this guide now. I call this - the Holy Grail of content creation.
You're one of the biggest inspirations any creator on this platform can have man. Thank you for all of the work over the years!! ❤
Yea this is gonna be an epic video
This is a mind fuck seeing you here
never did i ever expect you to comment on this vid erick😂
"Knowing all prevents thinking" ~ Dan Mace
That is so TRUE
I’m a Just a guy from Sri Lanka that loves filmmaking and photography. I’m trying my very best to make a name for myself because I love the art of it. I’ve been watching countless CZcams tutorials trying to understand the key elements of a good filmmaker but I don’t think I’ve ever come across a tutorial so transparent. The fact that every Raw moment was shared and that it was done simultaneously while doing other projects on the go, just showed us how genuine you truly are and your love for the art of filmmaking. I’ve never been drawn to a video like I have with this. And I can promise you will watch this countless more times so I can absorb as much as I possibly can. I am truly grateful for this video Dan❤. Thanking you is simply not enough, so if you ever travel towards Sri Lanka hit me up and i would be more than honoured to show you our little paradise 🇱🇰.
same here bro
Sometimes I wonder, what Dan is up to, I watched this and I was like oh “Dude is f*ckin WORKING”. What an absolute legend!🔥
59:43 I love how humble jimmy is Bru, the next time you meet him kindly extend my deepest love to him for all he does
The fact that your channel is under 1M followers is truly incomprehensible. Probably the most underrated channel and content on CZcams.
Thank you for your videos!
Dan thank you for the countless lessons. How did you make such an amazing story ABOUT a story?! I watched the full nearly 3 hours in one sitting taking notes the whole time. You turned countless unknown unknowns into known unknowns for me; I have a ton of work to do. Thank you for inspiring me. Your art, kindness, and grit are what makes the internet and CZcams such a beautiful and symbiotic place. Cheers Bru
Can you share the notes?
This is gold
Nobody has released such In-depth Video of CZcams Video creation till date. Your video will definitely help many filmmakers, editors, and aspiring artists. Thank you for your work.
To handle all the workload that comes with Beast Philanthropy is one thing, but to stay committed to the craft whilst educating hundreds of thousands of others and not missing a beat simultaneously is something I've never seen done before. Incredibly grateful for you, Dan.
Man. The fact that you have such a great understanding of music and music theory sets you LEAGUES above most "good" filmmakers. This is incredible to watch. Bravo.
Holy crap, I literally had my credit card details inside of MasterClass to take a filmmaking course. Then I just felt like searching on CZcams to see if I could find a video instead of subscribing to MasterClass, and I am so happy I did because I found this masterpiece. Thank you for saving me $240!
Ah man that makes me so happy! ❤️
I subscribe to about 150 channels, and Dan, you're the ONLY ONE I turn on the notification bell for. The DOUBLE the work you put in on this one, to explain the process as you go (I'm sure was an interesting exercise to mastering your own process and growing techniques) and all your days and days of hard work is NOT lost on SO many of us in the same field. Fascinating and an inspiration to watch, and worth watching again over time is the even better part. Beyond appreciated! You're awesome Bru!
This video was so thorough it required a bookmark so I can view again as needed.
Thanks for this tutorial and comprehensive lesson.
I'm letting all the ads on this video run, no matter how long they are because I cannot believe this is FOR FREE!! You're amazing, thank you!
Thank you bru! I’m so happy you appreciate it so much :)
I watched this entire video in one shot in my hotel after a filming day. The amount of effort you put into this video, and the information and stories imparted in all of your videos inspires me to be a better filmmaker. Thank you for being you BRU, never change!
Dan just wanted to say, as someone who lived in south africa for 17 years growing up. Thank you for being part of something wonderful. You inspire me to tell my stories.
Dan, huge thanks for this video! For the last few days every evening I have been watching carefully a part of this video piece by piece. It's a lot of fun and I hope my new videos and projects will benefit from that!
Dan, I watched the whole video in a few sittings and am truly motivated to get my own filmmaking journey underway. I cannot accurately describe how much this has inspired me. So many helpful tips and well thought out ideas here, it’s fantastic. You do such a masterful job at articulating your craft. Thank you Bru!! Thank you!!🙏🏾
This masterpiece does not have nearly enough views for what it's worth, Dan's passion for filmmaking can be felt throughout the entirety of this video and it is truly inspiring. If you are reading this; know that YOU have inspired us. I've lived without a dream for long and yet today I feel a fire burning, I know now that there's nothing I need more in life than to bring people together and that because of this my view of the impossible has broadened; I now see my dream as certainty, foretold, and I am grateful to you for being a step in my change. I have little to none experience but when I make it I'll come back here to thank you again.
Hey it's me. **The 100% retention guy**. Watched the entire thing here Dan. What a great video. Every single time I watch your videos, I get inspired and I am not even close to a film maker in any way, honestly. The @36:00 mark was pretty powerful and my first BIG smile came right at @53:00. You almost nailed the "how long is this video right now" time, well done, even as the one that edits it :) I wasn't going to watch the Beast video until this was done, but then @1:59:00 you told me to, so that is what I did. Doing that, added way more context to what you were saying here. The best laugh was when you realized you sent everyone to watch the video and that they might not like it..... The final cut was fantastic. Your hard work comes through in these videos, no doubt, ever. Great work and as always keep on keeping on. You're awesome BRU!
Hey, great video. In my opinion the biggest problem with CZcamsrs now is their lack of strategy. Like they upload everything straight away, and then they run out of ideas. This business is about constant uploading, but not too many times per week (and also after I upload something, I use a bit of Famester to make that piece of content instantly viral and popular). It's better to upload like once or twice per week, and it helps to avoid burn out.
Famester?
Depends on what type of CZcams channel you're running. Real estate agents with channels can't wait because our viewers buy or sell houses in between uploading the video
Have been able to watch snippets of this since you dropped it a couple weeks ago. Cannot tell you how appreciative I and I know the rest of the community is to be able to have such an insight into your process! It really means a ton! Thank you for all the tips, tricks and advice!!!!!!
Great tutorial. The thing I really appreciate about this tutorial is the fact that you made it as you went along instead of first finishing the philanthropy video and showing us how you did it. It gives us a bit more insight into 1) what it's like working as a videographer/editor/director, 2) what it's like working on such a massive project like Beast Philanthropy and, 3) a little bit of your life. Loved every second of this and inspired. Off to make a film.
I’m convinced this stands as the most impactful, insightful pieces of content on CZcams right now. A free feature length in depth process covering everything from start to finish, that is both educational and highly entertaining. This is what CZcams needs more of. Thank you bru! ❤
I have never finished a 2hr tutorial before in my life because I just lack patience, but Dan made it so easy and I have never been inspired more to work on my craft.
You're one of the biggest inspirations any creator on this platform can have man. To handle all the workload that comes with Beast Philanthropy is one thing, but to stay committed to the craft whilst educating hundreds of thousands of others and not missing a beat simultaneously is something I've never seen done before. Incredibly grateful for you, Dan. Thank you for all of the work over the years!!
How does this not have ALOT more views?? and how do you not have A LOT more subscribers?? What an amazing piece of work and wealth of knowledge 🙏🏽
Just finished the whole video/film/turorial, however you wanna call it.
I learned a lot by listening to you. As an autistic person myself and filmmaker, it's very interesting to see how you structure your work, have your own tools in order to work pretty much from anywhere, how your organise your shoot, allocate time to brainstorming, how you can brainstorm on your own, etc etc.
I'd like one day to channel to such an level of productivity with the depth that's coming with it. I think most filmmakers would have kind of a story, do some run and gun with some kind of shot list and do the edit using royaltee free music etc. But I believe the difference between a work like this one and another might also be the fact that you helped the channel to read 24M followers and that you received multiple awards since working on the channel.
Finally that video is a pure gold knowledge served on a silver plate. I don't know how you managed to make such a video while working on beast's projects, lol
Good stuff and keep going
Absolutely phenomenal Dan!! I’ve been lucky enough to see your journey first-hand and how much of yourself you put into everything you do and the sacrifices that you have had to make. So incredibly proud of you.
Just watched the full film seriously man can feel the effort that went into making this film.
I always wanted to see how one of these videos is made. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for making this learnt a lot man.
Went through this whole video in one go. I will definitely be watching it again. There is so much to unpack. I never went to film school, but I love video. So getting such a deep dive into the whole production cycle is incredible! This is the place to start for anyone wanting to learn on their own!
dan, thank you for taking the time to make this comprehensive filmmaking tutorial. I was waiting for a filmmaking class like this from you.
Finally finished watching this - at a loss for words. Possibly the greatest behind-the-scenes + editing breakdown + tutorial on ideation & production to have been made. The day before this video was posted I had finished watching 15 Dan Mace videos. Two days before that, I was feeling the need for some creative inspiration for making my videos more interesting and the only name that kept coming to my head was Dan Mace.
Glad I spent every minute I did watching this, and I look forward to what's next bru!
I am an adult father of 2 working full time and trying to grow as a filmmaker/videographer on the side and this was insanely eye opening. Not only did i watch this all the way through, but I will be re-watching this. I know this will get lost in the thousands of comments but this was more helpful that i think you realize. First time watcher and new sub thank you.
I learned more from this than in my 3 years of film school, genuinely. I’m currently in my 4th year with the fall being my last semester and I felt so nervous about what I was capable of and if I can really do this for a living. In the true Dan Mace fashion you showed me that this is possible with discipline, organization, patience, and a fire in your heart for this. I learned about you from Casey Neistat back when I was in high school and have continued to follow your ways since 2017 with yours and Casey’s name being in my essay portion for my application to my film program. Thank you for the inspiration and motivation throughout the years! You’re a legend!!
Literally watch it all at one goal. Thanks for the whole process explanation, always a big fan of you Dan! Storytelling bigger than everything 🙌🏻 Blessing from Malaysia!
Great film Dan, I appreciate the effort it took to creat a video of how to make a video. Great to see you plugging your product too (BRU Bar).
Watched all the way through and to the end 👍🏼
I can’t believe this is free. Soooo many small nuggets of gold in these (almost) 3 hours. Definitely something to come back and rewatch several times. Thank you so much for making this!
The amount of effort you have taken to put this tutorial out in the world despite delays in project and overworking and fked up sleep, respect! I can't thank you enough :)
Bru u are a true goosebumbgenerator! This was such a great journey :) also that take on reading a book a week within the time i bindgewatch not even in a week but a couple days is strong!
This is what I’ve been waiting for my whole life!! Thank you for giving all of this knowledge for free Dan!
Haha
just finished watching this whole video. I myself am a videographer for a charity and I just came back from filming my first video abroad a week ago. I planned to come back and learn from my experience and this video helped me go through everything step by step. I really appreciate the effort you put in this video and I hope the things I learnt in this video will help me change lives. bru.
I can't express how grateful I am for this tutorial. Your passion is obvious and you have reminded me I don't create for me, but others. I have been using my video content to push my books, but my books are about the differences people, especially young people, can make in our world. My key takeawy from this is I need to bring the storyteller of my books through to my videos. Thanks again. I will be rewatching many times.
Dan your visual style and storytelling is one of the best things to ever happen to beast philanthropy. Keep up the awesome work bru
Thanks for the behind the scenes, I was glued to the screen for three hours! You're awesome BRU!
Wow Dan, I watched this all in one day! As someone who went through 2 years of film school, I can honestly say this was way more educational than any class I have ever sat. I found it so refreshing to see how you implement the ways of "traditional" filmmaking into creating films for CZcams! It's honestly crazy that film schools still don't even touch on CZcams as a platform for filmmakers. It's people like you that really inspire me to adopt a non-traditional career path, and to make films that are beautiful, meaningful, and inspiring. Thank you bru!
Loved the parts about the file organisation and the tips and tricks of your process. Thank you for taking the time to share it. Nice that you were really down to earth here with the whole process.
Dude you could've not posted this at a more perfect time for me. I'm in the process of filming a mega series where I travel to 30 cities in 30 days in Asia and I definitely made time during my crazy itinerary these past few days to watch every bit of this. Thank you so much for working so hard to advance content creation on this platform. You deserve everything coming your way Dan!
Goodluck bru!
@@AbdulHaseeb-lm5jw thank you bru!❤️
I took so many notes from this, so far I’ve watched it twice. Big Dan Mace fan, thank you for the ridiculous amount of time and effort you just gave away for free!
Dude, it's crazy the amount of time that you took to deliver this "master class" to us, you are way beyond just a filmmaker and a film editor, you are doing the job of at least 3/4 guys at the same time. The pristine care with the soundtracks, record it, delivering it, it got mesmerised with such care !
Thank you so much for sharing this incredible resource. I’ve watched all the way through and will likely watch several more times to truly grasp the magnitude of supportive information and care that went into putting everything together.
The nearly 3 hours of professional thought processes was beyond helpful but in the past file organization was my biggest struggle. Thank you for being the first to break it down in a way that makes sense for me.
Went here after watching "We Powered a Mountain" 🎉 I'm glad a BTS video has been released!
Yup epic
Watched to the end! The detail you put in your work is amazing, Dan.
Man I can't believe I watched a 3 hour video on a Saturday morning! As a video maker, each of your decisions like exporting a non-subtitle version of the video among hundred other little ingenious details was an absolute treat to watch! Thanks for putting this up man! Great to learn from your creativity !
This is one of the most needed videos I have ever seen. You charged me with energy and showed me a lot of things I didn’t know. Thank you, my craving for this kind of work has only increased!
I have been waiting for a video like this for ages from you Dan! Locked in with my coffee and notebook for the next 3hrs. LFG
Nice
bro this is the most impressive video that you have yet to create. The impact of this video alone with spawn filmmakers for generations to come
This is insane! I'm currently working in South Sudan and some of my colleagues have been asking me to teach them how to edit. I've just given them all this film, the amount of people this will help is crazy your genorisity in giving this out for free is noble beyond words!
Hey Dan! This is the best video informational you have made yet. Now I can explain I did watch his video, as you had asked. What a big-impact movie. I have now subscribed to his channel. I have followed you for years, and the content has been spectacular. Your musical stuff is genius.
I have learned a lot from you. Your hard work while making two videos simultaneously has shown us how you do it. (Your parts-yes, we know the team did awesome, too.) With this video, you have given the film community so much great information. Thank you!!!
Stay awesome, BRU!
PS Thank you to Jimmy for shouting out Dan.
This is a goldmine for people who are out there struggling to get started with their journey of editing. Nice work Dan 🔥🔥
Such great insight in to how these Beast Philanthropy videos are made. Thanks for sharing this valuable info with the rest of us BRU! 👍
Ikr their epic
I watched to the end and I will be watching again. In a world filled with tutorials from people that just learned how to do it themselves, this is a gem on CZcams. A lot of this is stuff I already do, but there are some key takeaways that I’ll be adding to my productions that I’m sure will take my videos to the next level. Thank you Dan!
Im so glad you made this accessible to anyone who wants to better understand the craft in making films. Made me rethink and add a few steps over my workflow, although took me like 4 days to finish the whole video, since is something u cant just "sidewatch" while doing something else!
Again, thank you so much, this video is worth gold!
I am about to fill so many notebooks 📓 Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for your whole channel in general for always teaching and inspiring.
Yea
Excited to watch this!
Let's go
Incredible video! I'm in the audiovisual industry, and it's wonderful to see someone so talented. It took me 7 hours to watch the entire video, go grocery shopping, and have a pizza for dinner, but it was worth every minute. Thank you
The advices that you’re giving for free to us, the creators, is amazing, I’ve been trying and learning a lot thanks to a lot of people and masterminds like you.
Thanks so much.
I watched this entire vid to the end and I must say, this has been one of the best filmmaking course video I've ever watched. I feel guilty getting this level of knowledge for free. You are best Dan! We will work together in the future, I'm sure of it😤
Thank you bru ❤
🎉
I’m watching this instead of Oppenheimer
Haha lol
good choice
For real
Aweh bru! Thank you for making this! I’m a South African living in Ireland, I’m 35 married with 2 kids and have always had this burning desire to make short story films but have never acted on it. I don’t know if it was fate or not but I decided I’m going to have a go at it. I work the night shift at a gas station lol for in reality I’ve don’t have much to loose!
Btw I’ve followed you for about 10 years now and bru!! You make me so proud to be South African!
I'm in a bus from a province in the Philippines to Manila and I finished your tutorial right here Dan.. It took me three days to finished BUT HEY, IT IS IMPRESSIVE and I learned a lot. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us, recording and editing is becoming my passion right now.
Thank you again!
I was looking for a video just like this but for Movies or Tv-Shows, but a Mr. Beast Production is several orders of magnitudes bigger then your average Hollywood production so thanks Dan!
Yea
Woaaah, thank you Dan! Am going to watch this now, now, now!! Edit: I just finished and this must be the best bts/tutorial I have ever watched!! Thanks for all the hard work you put into it and into beast philanthropy to help the causes. That you are keeping in touch with your community through pieces like that - even after all your success - is absolutely appreciated! And yes, get those BRU bars to Europe. If this was an ad - it worked ;-) :-)) Am backing up my SanDisk-drives now ....!
Do it (:
As someone who runs a one-man design agency and wears many hats, I hard related to what’s involved in the workings of a project. Incredible video man, amazing in-depth and insightful look at your process, it’s only cemented in my mind how good of a filmmaker you are and how dedicated you are to your craft. Cheers for making this bru
I made it to the end! This is so inspiring and and such a great gift and tool you’ve given to aspiring filmmakers like myself! I was hooked the entire way through. Thank you for dedicating your time to giving back and paying it forward. This is probably one of the best films ever uploaded to CZcams. Thank you, Dan.
Dan, I've been following your for years now and I love your work! Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial and I made it all the way to the very end!! It was super informative and I have several practices that I will implement into my next project. I've already forwarded this video on to some of my team members and asked them to watch it from start to finish as well. Looking forward to your continued success.
Increíble tu aporte, hermano Dan. Espero algún día poder tenerte en Bolivia para compartir tu experiencia con jóvenes indígenas cineastas de mi patria. Saludos!!!!
Realmente, un capo.
Lo vi dos veces...
que vengan a Latinoamérica.
@@chillbolivia2468 igual yo.
Amazing crash course on how it should be done. There's tons of 10-minute, how-to videos on YT which don't really give a lot of depth like you have done here. It's amazing to see how your mind works, love it! I've been creating content for years, but went full time this year. Thanks for being real and honest with how its done.
Thank you, Dan, for sharing your genius of a process for free! Almost three hours of inspiration went by so fast with your keen sense of teaching. I came here to learn your take on creating soundtrack for film but loved the entire process. I really learned a lot and I appreciate your time to teach all of us the art of storytelling.
2:42:26 true true. Every frame pops. Thanks for your work!

@@999Remi I watched the video in 20x speed.
No, just kidding. I skipped to the end of the video to confuse you guys xD
Just started watching! I cannot wait to watch this all haha
Sammeeee
enjoyed every second of it and wrote 10 sites in my new big notebook, that I just bought for this video and future projects, to easily go back to my notes from your video! I'm already editing for 3 years now for a CZcamsr, but this really brought my understanding for multiple things onto the nxt level! Quite a big amount I kinda did already, but more by instinct and through learning during the past 3 years of editing and writing almost every single day, but now I feel like I really got a deeper understanding of why and when to do those things. Thank you so much for this video!
Leeeeeka video bru. Learned a ton. Honestly can’t believe how organised you are and how much detail and thinking you put into your work - unreal. I take my hat off to you brushki. Much love.
So proud of you BRU ❤
Yeaaaaaa
Dan, I heard your name for the first time today, but it doesn't change the fact, your videos are amazing ;-)
Haha yup same
This video is amazing. It took a few sessions over 4 days, but I've learnt so much and it's completely changed my thinking. I'm sure I'll be back to watch parts of this multiple times! Thanks so much for this, I'm fairly new to filmmaking and feel so out of my depth... If anything, more so now, but at least I now have a good direction of travel. thanks for making this, by far the best video I've watched on this subject so far.
Bro this whole tutorial was like a journey where we were learning new things and also experiencing the process of film making.
This is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen which didn't felt like a tutorial but like a movie.
I think this is the exact way how you should teach others by letting them experience the journey !
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS LEGENDARY VIDEO 💓❤
SA BOIZ TAKING OVER 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦👏👏👏
Yeaaaa have a good one!
The amount of work that went into this is just mind blowing. Appreciate your drive and sharing all this knowledge for free!
Dan thank you for taking time to fully breakdown the process and especally to take us on the journey of film making. You are very right! You learn more from an understanding prospective when you are teaching others. As a film maker myself and always wanting to learn and develop more, your level and thinking as well as the process is enabling me to respect the process. Althrough thiis is what I personally share when chanced to teach, but having someone like yourself really is allowing me to understand that I am on the right path. Thank you very much for taking itme to allow us into your process development. it would be an honor to work alongside you someday.

Ended up watching the entire vid in one sitting, thank you so much!! So many little tidbits that I'm excited to use and think about. Appreciate the amazing work and the ability to join you for the entire process.
Thank you so much for this! Storytelling is a difficult subject on its own but you've done it with such clarity that I want to rewatch it again..
