Starting to worry that this might be the year they break the playoff record. Sad if it's the same year they won the CCL.
The strategy and flow of play have been so different in their MLS matches vs. the CCL that it doesn't even look like the same team. Too predictable on offense and too passive on defense. Like you, I suspect they won't make the playoffs as other clubs are improving and Sounders are not. At this point, quit playing the highest paid guys and play the hungriest guys, cuz players like Rusnak are doing nothing - there was no point in making him an extra DP signing complete with a fine to do so when Atencio and Leyva both seem to have more impact. The veterans just look old and tired to me.

Best finish I've seen from Cristian - patience and poise, cutting it back to shoot against the flow of the defense and keeper. Hopefully we get more of that.
But come on - why is our defense SO passive? It has become Sounders style to never pressure the ball, just keep falling back and giving guys all day to rip shots from 20+ yards out. It has to stop.

"Rusnak can shoot"... hmm... apparently not, missed the whole goal from only 20 yards away and no pressure. Makes the perfect run to far post and then misses with a volley completely also. Wouldn't be so critical, but given the $$$$ he's making it needs to be much better. The young guys on the bench seem more effective.
