Doing the Fuckin lords work.
Would be awesome if in the future you did a tier list showing where everyone landed at the end to have a visual representation of every team you graded. Great work!
Because then he would have to talk about how the Mets players stunk and the team was 8 games out of first place by the end of the year đ
As a Jays fan, your ranking is pretty fair. They did lose Semien and Ray, which obviously sucks, but I do think they have improved because a full season with Springer and Chapman will hopefully replace the lose of Semien, and a full season of Berrios and Gausman will replace Ray. They got some bullpen arms with Garcia, some minor league signing like David Phelps, and with a full season of Pearson and Merryweather the bullpen has good potential. They also have a full season of Rogers Center which is a big gain. As long as they are healthy this team is dangerous. I'm looking forward to watching this team for many years to come!
But they did added the best 1st baseman in all of baseball, in Greg Bird.
@@samuelsandate9804all star bro
I think we can guarantee the jays will be better next year than last year. However you canât include full seasons of Berrios and Springer in the grade bc those werenât moves they made this offseason. Same goes for the players/prospects already in their system. I only wonder how playing at home and not minor league fields will affect them.
A lot of their big moves were essentially replacing guys that walked in FA (Gausman Chapman and Kikuchi to replace Ray Semien and Matz) so its debatable how much better they got. But they were also already I think 1st in the AL in OPS+ and 4th in ERA+ so in theory they should be a great team regardless
Bro you donât have to write so fucking much jeez
The Phillies absolutely do not need a shortstop or third baseman, Stotts gonna be at third and Didi at short now that heâs healthy.
Marc hates the phillies
Phillies will have 4 DHs playing in the field next year. They certainly didnât need to add 2 more this offseason
thatâs what iâm saying, stott is tearing it up and didi looks so much better
@@dannovikoff8454 what are you talking about? Aside from Castellanos and Schwarber, who are the other two DHes?
Didi sucks
âAnd to no oneâs surprise, the Mets had the best off-season and nimmo is MVPâ
LOL
In the future it would be cool to see incoming vs. Outgoing. This would give a more complete picture .
Phillies hatred & Mets bias being flashed. The rivalry continues man.
Hey Mark, you forgot that the jays locked up berrios longterm giving them a pretty nasty top 3 in berrios gausman and manoah for years to cone
Come*
@@kyleravensbergen385 Cone*
And Nate Pearson if he can figure it out
Thatâs not an offseason move that changes their 2022 outlook
@@dannovikoff8454 I think any move you make in the offseason wether it has immediate impact or not is important, by doing it now they don't need to do it later + now they have a better idea of the type of money they can hand to vlad and bo, maybe even Teo/Chapman which is a huge plus in my eyes
The one issue I have with the Phillies grade is that itâs the same as the marlins and the moves made by the two are so drastically different. At least a B+ for the Philâs given the level of the signings made seems more appropriate
The Phillies get an A. He's so obviously biased against them. They are gonna crush the mets this year
@@calderevans4106 Phillies are the laughing stock of baseball
@@tremontproductions2561 How? We have 2 top 10 pitchers in the game, and maybe a third if Suarez pitches like he did last year. Zack Wheeler should have won Cy Young, Harper did win MVP, JT is the best defensive catcher and top 3 overall catcher
@@calderevans4106 Wheeler is incompetent Nola is inconsistent your bullpen is hot garbage your defense is the worst in baseball your rotation is not good the only good thing you have if offense and that itself is not going to cut it Phillies need to tear it down and rebuild and try to compete for real in 3 years
@@tremontproductions2561 Are you kidding me? That has to be a joke. Nola had a down year but is still elite, he pitched fantastic yesterday, but was just left out to long. Wheeler is one of the most competent pitchers in the game, I don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Our defense isn't that bad, yeah it's bad but not terrible. And our Offense might be the best in baseball. Our Bullpen isn't that bad anymore we got Hand, Familia and Knebel in the off-season
I think the giants did great on the pitching side but I wouldâve liked to see us add another bat to go along with Pederson. Maybe the next trade deadline or offseason.
What we need is a right handed bat. I rlly wanted them to go after story but they feel confident enough in la Stella and thairo at 2B I guess. Only right handed batters are Bart, Flores, Estrada, and ruf. Thatâs good but not great
I've got a slight feeling they may be a team that pokes the Orioles about Mullins/Mancini
Zaidi has real confidence in his ability to construct a very good lineup without spending a ton of money/prospects even when things go wrong such as underperformance and injuries. I'm very happy that he focused on the pitching side this offseason because it's much harder to fix problems with the rotation once the season starts. The early season will be about getting Bart, Estrada, and Dubon reps because if one or more of them can break out at the plate this year it makes lineup/roster construction SO MUCH easier.

Right?! You can think that they're not a great team overall, which is fair considering the question marks at pitcher, but to call the off-season borderline average? They got a closer and 2 bombers.
@@radi0aktivetoy ok, but what the hell about that atrocious defense that they literally dont care about. that is literally their biggest problem and they decided to only hurt it if anything
He's doing wishful thinking. Phillies are gonna have 12 more wins then Mets this year
@@radi0aktivetoy the relievers they mostly got suck tho. Iâm a Mets fan, biased I know, but I remember watching Brad hand and Familia get shelled *by the Phillies* last year. Knebel can be a stud when healthy. But I imagine the way Phillies fans felt when they brought Hector Neris in a 1 run game is the same way Mets fans felt when they brought hand or familia into a 1 run game last year. Phils offense is gonna be nasty next year. I just think unreliable BP and SP depth has doomed them for years and they donât look better on paper.
Iâm really looking forward to see play Matt Olson,Kenley Jansen,Collin McHugh etc this year for the Braves....keep up the great content
i usually follow the nba, but this video got me excited and informed about the upcoming season, thank you marc
I have been waiting for this for sooooooo long
And the dodgers deserve an A+
Amazing video loved it
I'm a KC fan, and I understand why you gave them a D.
What you need to understand is that we are bringing up a lot of our kids from the minors this year; Witt Jr, Kyle Isbel, Nicky Lopez, Olivarez,...
Along with our young pitchers, some of whom got a good taste of the majors last year; Brady Singer, Daniel Lynch, Kris Bubic, Carlos Hernandez, Jon Heasley, Jackson Kowar, Joel Payamps,... And with all those young arms, that's what makes the Grienke signing so good. To be a mentor for all these young guys.
This is how the Royals rebuild, as they did the same thing back in '12, '13, '14 and won it all in '15. This will be the year KC fights for a .500 record. Next year fight to try and get a WC. In '24 battle to win the division and then that's when you'll see the Royals make some moves to push for another WS in '25, '26, and '27.
Then they'll lose a lot of guys trying to cash in, just like Hosmer, Moustakas, Cain, Johnny Cueto, Edison Volquez,... And the next rebuild will begin.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on my thoughts..? Thanks for the content!
Love the vid as always and am usually pretty much in agreement with your assessments⊠but⊠that the bullpen was a weakness going into the offseason for the Braves was a pretty hot take lol⊠and they definitely got better. Scary good pen.
Iâm still waiting for my S tier placement
Soon Gabe
Thank you brother. Good video!
Braves also brought back Eddie Rosario. Big time move for the lineup, especially when Ronald comes back. That lineup will be dangerous when Ronald returns and Ozuna can move to DH
As a Cards fan I agree. All we really did this offseason was let some guys with bad contracts walk, but we didn't turn around and use that money on other big contributors. D is a fair grade
I feel like way too many teams forgot about their bullpen this offseason

Should make a video picking one prospect from each team that could impact their ball club this season.
The first good offseason for the Marlins since 2012
Marc, I'm curious what your thoughts are about the Red Sox moving Story to second base instead of Bogaerts. I know that's been their weak spot really since Pedroia stopped playing but Story is a better shortstop than Bogaerts so I feel like they're missing out on improving both middle infield positions instead of just one
Canât wait to see what my Aâs get lol
can you do a 6-video series featuring every division ranking/predicting each team in that divisionâs season
Iâm glad Mark actually understands too. The Rangers may not be playoff bound this year but very soon
When are you gonna do World Series/season predictions for every team
This dude is uncanny with how byass he is towards the Mets and against the phillies
I was watching a stream from On Deck with Tyler Redmond (Braves fan). I asked him how confident he was in this years Braves team. And he said that he'd be willing to entertain a friendly wager against you and your Mets, if you were willing to get in contact with him...your thoughts??
I didnt mind what my Halos did in the offseason for pitching in all honesty. In 2021 the main issue overall with the roster, as it has been for basically the last decade, was the depth because we had so many injuries. Jose Suarez made some solid strides in 21 and hopefully continues in 22, Patrick Sandoval just has to stay healthy, Ohtani if he remembers he doesnt have to throw 100 in the first inning and goes 7 innings more often then he goes 5 will be good to go, Syndergaard and Lorenzen are the "untested" pieces since Syndergaard has been injury prone lately and Lorenzen hasnt had the chance to really be in the rotation FT in Cincy, and Detmers just needs to be serviceable in that 6th spot in his first full season after getting a taste of it last season. But again thats if all 6 of those guys stay healthy and we get 130+ games out of both Rendon and Trout this year
Hey Mark, the Braves also brought back Eddie Rosario. But good ranking nonetheless
Who else is excited for Marcâs reaction of MLB networkâs top 100 list đ
Thanks for the Rangers love bro!
Not just for the fact of MLB the Show, I think that if he finds his groove, Eduardo Cabrera could be an arm for the Marlins in that bullpen with that velo.
As A White Sox Fan
Yes Youâre Absolutely Correct About Giving Carlos Rodon To The SF Giants But Also We Just Traded Craig Kimbrel To LA Dodgers For AJ Pollack To Give That Depth In Offense. If The White Sox Can Have An Above .500 Series Against The Det.Tigers & Minn. Twins Weâll Be A Force To Be Reckoned With But We Still Need Relief Pitching To Help Joe Kelly & Closer Liam Hendriks.
You forgot to mention Matt strahm on the Red Sox who they signed as well
Love the vids
Why am I not surprised that Marc said Mets were a world series contender?
I love the correa trade because it means they r willing to pay someone and if correa does well which he should and the twins struggle like last year, they can easily flip him
Regarding the Pirates - the best player they acquired is probably Zach Thompson (Stallings trade) who could compete for a rotation spot. Other than that theyâre just waiting for prospects
Great vid as usualâŠnext time put in their subtractions, who the lost, as well as additions.
The man said âJordan lyles will pitchâ đđ
dodger fan here đđŒ totally agree with the B grade.
essentially replacing seager with freeman was enough to turn this offseason from a C to a B. unfortunately for us they didnât do enough to replace my dude max scherzer. re-signing him or replacing him with say rodon or ray or trading for mahle or montas would have made this offseason an A !
congrats to ur mets for getting my dude max scherzer đđŒ I have no hard feelings toward him and I hope he kills it in queens
But can u really blame the dodgers for not matching that offer for max I mean come on the guy is what 39 signing a 4 year MASSIVE DEAL he will be well past 40 when all said and done and I would love to see him do what he did with my dodgers but I just have a hard time see a 39 or whatever SP being dominate at that age for 4 years or even 2 maybe get 1 good season out of him which I hope I'm wrong cause I've always liked him even before he was a dodger
Very excited to the see the Rangers and the Mariners battle it out at west for the next decade
I didnât realize Javy and Amir Garret are still in the same division lol đ
As a Padres fan, I realized our offseason additions were pretty underwhelming. We have some more pitching depth now and I like the idea of taking a chance on Voit, but we didn't address the OF situation (which we need to do really badly).
With that said though, out biggest additions of the offseason weren't directly on the field. It was with our Manager and coaching staff. In addition to Bob Melvin (one of the best managers in the league and the best choice they could have gotten) we also got Rueben Niebla from the Guardians as our pitching coach, an analytics guru in Brdar as our hitting coach (who worked with the Giants last year), brought over a bunch of the coaching staff that worked alongside Melvin in Oakland, and on a smaller but still interesting note, we have Mike Shildt (the manager who got the Cards to win 16 games in a row and who we almost hired as manager) working with the team in player development this year.
I know these videos focus on the actual players on the field (which makes sense) but I think thing like getting a new manager and an improved coaching staff should also be taken into account, especially with a team like the Padres that desperately needed it.
It's still hard to say our team got much better this offseason and it was still pretty lackluster overall, but I don't think we got any worse either. We're running most of the same team as last year (who spent the first half of the season well above .500 before a late season collapse) but with an experience Manger this time around, and a lot more pitching depth too (something that was a big problem for this team last year). Our pitching acquisitions are also a bit risky and our pen seems to lean more towards quantity then quality. But we at least have some more depth added there and between that and the manager/coaching moves, I think that should bump up the Padres to a C.
Trust me, I'm not trying to be too biased here. I was disappointed with the lack of player moves as well, especially with not addressing left field. But I just think that things like manager/coaching moves and pitching depth should be taken more into account with these kinds of videos, but that's just my two sense. I still enjoyed watching the video regardless though. đ
Bro I canât be the first one who has said this but you look strikingly (no pun intended) like the dude from Action lab
Love coming back to these videos

Giving the Phillies a B- is absurd when we brought in the top 2 bats on the market. Amazing how you continue to be so biased against them
Ya know u need more than offense to make the playoffs?? B is very fair, at most a B+
@@mikedavis5288 they also brought in a good closer and more bullpen depth which was their biggest problem for years now. The only thing they are missing is a depth starter in case of injuries but honestly otherwise this was an excellent offseason

Canât wait for them to squash that narrative this season
Both the AL west and Nl west divisions will be very interesting
You need to do a prediction video.
The Angels pitching is actually doing good
As a twins fan Iâm happy but we need pitching
Fax. Ryan is gonna be sick and Gray will be rly solid. Ober should be solid and Duran, Winder, and Balazovich should be up early and should pitch often. Especially with Winder as our number 5 or 6 depending on Bundy and Archer
What does the late addition of AJ Pollock do to the grade for the White Sox? Finally, a legit RF instead of trying to fit a square Vaughn into a round peg.
The Padres coaching staff was their best move of the offseason
I feel like everyone is giving the Guardians too much grief over their off season. Everyone knew they needed to improve the outfield and really the offense in general and reliable sources that cover the team confirmed they did attempt to make some big trades but ultimately couldnât get them done for different reasons. They were never realistically going to go after the top guys on the market and people are mad they didnât sign guys like Joc or Pham but if those are your âbig moveâ then I donât blame them for passing on them. I would rather see Steven Kwan and Richie Palacios (and maybe even Oscar Gonzalez if they can get him on the 40 man) getting those at bats in the outfield over the season and find out about them until Valera gets his call up.
Same goes for the infield. Give Bradley and Naylor their shot at first and figure out if Miller, Chang and Gimenez can be at least a utility guy before Arias, Freeman and Rocchio move up and take over later this year or next. Then next year is where they should be looking at filling the holes left over. Granted they are prospects but most of the big names were in AA last year and their explosive offense is what carried them to the championship. Maybe it works out and maybe it doesnât but I think giving them an F just because they didnât make a big preemptive move a year before they are ready to really compete is short sighted.
Any changes to the Fish with the late bullpen additions?

Didnât know Odor got traded. Was wondering how him and JD would have faired in the Yanksâ clubhouse.
i really dont know how you could possibly say the phillies had a B- offseason. We signed 3 relievers to improve our weakest link. We dont need a third baseman, we had to sign two outfielders since harper was our only Mlb rostered outfielder during the lockout, and we got two .900+ ops guys. I agree we needed a new shortstop, but im not mad since we have bryson stott there. We upgraded our team to a top 5 lineup in the league, i really don't see how thats only aB-, mets fan bias.
The Phils had bad defense and a bad bullpen. The relievers the Phils brought in are not good (Knebel can be when healthy). Familia and Hand are washed up, and even if theyâre ground ball pitchers, theyâll be pitching in front of one of the worst defenses in the league. And how do they fix this defense? They brought in 2 more DHs to play the field. Theyâre going to score a ton of runs, but theyâre going to absolutely bleed runs. Are they better than dodgers, giants, braves, Mets, cardinals, or brewers? I donât think so.
