- In this video, we show you how to use the new Path Tracer introduced in Twinmotion 2022.1. The Path Tracer is a DXR-accelerated, physically accurate progressive rendering mode that can be easily enabled in the viewport with a single button push, or used to output stunning still images and panoramas, right from Twinmotion, in minutes.

It's nice to have the option for when critical realism is needed, but please continue to embrace Twinmotion real-time rendering and bring UE5 Lumen technology to this software.

Path Tracer is a game changer for final renders!!! but it will be great to include Lumen technology from UE to replace the current rasterized mode for real time render and faster render time videos ;)
FYI those using a laptop (ahem workstation laptop), switch your directx settings to dx12 from 11 you'll be able to use the path tracer with a lower gb gpu. I have an RTX A3000 6gb and it works flawlessly with it. SO EXCITING! Well done twinmotion team.

Path tracing is good and fast! I am really impressed.
But I need a way to put lights in the correct positions and to be able to scale them. Cheers!
I know that volumetric calculations are difficult and eats a lot of gpu resources.. But maybe you can fake it as a layer from the standard renderer? With a visibility slider, few little custom settings.. like a post processing fx?

it would also be nice if we could copy the effects created in an image and paste it in another new one. Or create our own filters.

At the end of video they say you need a DXR graphics card to do all the stuff you've just listed to for last 12 minutes and was hoping to use but now can't.
Did some quick tests with my system that has two 3060 ti cards installed. It appears to only use one of the cards to compute path tracing, the other seems to sit idle. I was hoping the path tracer would use both. Can anyone confirm this either way?

aditionally, the light settings change alltogether when switching path tracer on and off in the media mode. hard to understand why that would be desired or how to establish a usable workflow with that..... 🤷♂

Bonjour Merci pour cette vidéo, c est top twinmotion, je l ai découvert depuis ses débuts. PAthtracer semble très bienvenu, Mais pour le moment il change complètement la température de mes images intérieures, elle sont toutes jaunes par rapport à l apercu sans le Pathtracer activé, et je ne trouve aucune option pour retablir les alentours de 6500 K. Comment fait on pour regler ce point? J ai essayé le GI, L heure, la meteo, la température des lampes, .. rien n estompe ce jaune. MErci si vous avez une réponse !

Is the Path Tracer not working in the presentation mode? Or is it a limitation for the free version?
Unfortunately, the beam flickering continues in the videos. This is seen even at 512 samples. please improve this in next versions.
hi there! :)) does anyone know how can I enable "physics" in VR mode? I can go through walls and everything while I watch my model with headset but i don't want this happen.

When i try to render with path tracer,error message appears which is about “out of memory of gpu”. something like that. My gpu is rx 6750 xt 12 gb. Do u have any settings about it?
I have GTX950 - why is pathtracer disabeled. I use GPU rendering everywhere on other softwares, but here it is not allowed. WTH?

Does the Path Tracer make a difference to the final output renders. Or is it more for use when figuring out your scenes. Materials, reflections etc. With no difference to the final renders. I would really like to see a comparison of scenes rendered with and without the path tracer turned on. To see if there is a difference.
We are currently upgrading work computers. Using Apple at the moment but thinking we might have to swap to windows with RTX graphics cards to get the full benefit of ray tracing. Would rather stick with Apple if possible though. Battery life, fantastic screens etc.
After watching this video does that mean currently the path tracer is not very usable for animations. Due to flickering from the denoising each frame.
Do you think swapping over to RTX Windows laptops would be wise for future proofing ourselves for any new features the RTX RT cores may come up with later on?
We do want to branch out into unreal engine for further work. So Maybe the RTX cards are certainly the way to go.

If you want to take advantage of the GPU accelerated Path Tracer renderer, you will need more than 8 GB of Vram and your GPU will have to support DXR, which requires Windows DirectX 12. Nvidia RTX, AMD RX, and Intel ARC GPUs can perform hardware-accelerated ray-tracing.

What do. you suggest as when you Talk about third Party Solution.. Is there something in Da Vinci ?
was it when you were changing seasons in a video, and so the flickering was between day/night cycles?
Well I experienced this with exterior and interior as Martin Said it is due to the denoiser
excellent update, but, i hope you update these options soon please,
- when exporting standalone exe file, we need to have the options of updating/editing the splash screen and the logo that appears, as that is not helping business of the designer presenting the presentation or standalone walkthrough to the customers.
- sea/ocean waves don't exist in this application. we need to have splashes of waves, foam, and reaction to waves /physics so boats create sea wakes while moving, now they move like a pen in a butter dish, no wakes no waves..
- please, improve the artificial indoor lighting, now it looks like direct X lighting,

I’ve just bought an AMD RX 6600 XT 8GB. I use it with a Mac mini 2018 (maxed out). Twinmotion moves perfectly fine, even in High quality settings… BUT Path Tracing IS NOT SUPPORTED??? I don’t understand…
Is it happening ONLY in macOS (will it work fine on Windows through BootCamp), or Path Tracing is not working with my RX 6600XT at all???
I think PathTracer is not currently supported in macOS. It is only available in Windows as of now.
@@spaciotechtonics now I tried it in Windows, through BootCamp. Path tracing IS active, BUT it doesn’t work properly. It takes FOREVER just to show the first step of Path Tracing process. Even my old RX580 was A LOT faster than this, rendering the beach house demo scene.
So what is happening with 3D Apps, ray/path tracing and AMD 6000 series GPUs???
Mac is not 3D modeling standard, only Windows want to do movies ok Mac to do 3D modeling Windows

@@DonnydeOlim indriastal standart no machine runs on Mac but Windows and Linux,each of these programs was first available on Windows.you don't even realize how many programs not available on Mac,Vectorworks Designer the biggest loser without the support of a good rendering program V-Ray, Corona .Twinmotion UE4 D5 RENDER it all needs the INVIDIA RTX to use the potential.The fact that it is for Mac does not mean that it is a good choice, you limit yourself access to many possibilities, but who will forbid you.as of today, the majority of the large majority work on 3d Max and Revit, the rest is a margin,Sketchup is the worst choice to work on a non-parametric program.Solidworks,Inventor and Rhinoceros in order for them to talk to each other, they must work on Windows,I will not explain why I think you will guess.And plugins that are often not available on Mac. Adobe Premiere Pro works well on Windows as well or maybe better for Mac?I will give you a hint on Mac

@@wsoul2k I just tested it in Adobe After Effects and applied the noise and grain removal tool, wasn't able to get anything good from it. I'm at a loss in how to export video without the artefacts or noise with path tracer, not sure if it's possible yet without an investment into software outside of adobe? I'll stick to stills for now.
All archicad materials brought in be default have emissivity turned on even if it's set to zero 😑
are the settings (denoiser, path tracer, sample per pixels...) available only for the PRO version? cannot access them in the free version
i was happy about path tracing but you need an RTX graphics card so you lost me there.
1- there is not real time rendering so basically a gtx graphics card still can do the job
2- its impossible to get an RTX graphics card unless you pay the overprice
a lot of companies invested closer to when they came out, before the scarcity set in. Back then a 3090 was only around $1500.

Would be great, if the Path Tracer would work. I get the notice, that he is not working at my system... Just one of many problems with the new version. TM 2022 is definitely a step backwards.
this path tracer crashes my computer every time, despite having a modern GPU and fullfilling all specs. super frustrating.
Also, I don't like idea of coloring again and again. In soft soft mobile, just pick a color and it colors the track, the soft, and the setuper

seems the so called real-time rendering is just able tobe used in adjusting parameters for designer, it cannot be used to show final real result to customer!😂

Twinmotion - call OTOY and port octane/brigade to twinmotion - Your path tracing cannot do video animation and you do not need to invent the wheel. Also very comical to mention "3rd party denoiser" seriously??
How about opening up your plugin section and allowing "3rd party Renderers" for TwinMotion.
