Watching this approximately 5 minutes after they hit an extra innings 2 out home run to beat my team. The guardians lol
The Indians?
this isn't the dynasty you're looking for. move along, move along.
Astros have missed at one point during the season their full 6 man rotation, lance mcculers Jose urquidy Justin verlander, Christian Javier, framber Valdez and Luis Garcia jr. Crazy how they still have a rotation
It’s not really a rotation if you’re throwing 2023 A’s caliber minor leaguers out there
They are so lucky Blanco is working out otherwise they’d be truly screwed. Brown is a scrub, Jp France pitches like he’s from France. Javier and Blanco gonna have back issues carrying this poverty rotation.
@@gravitykat714 let’s be real, Verlander, Valdez, Javier, Blanco is an insane 4 man rotation as it stands now. The fifth man being between Garcia, Urquidy, and McCullers… ONE of them surely has to catch fire right? That’d be nuts.
@@gravitykat714 javier and blanco dont need to carry. They also have JV and Framber which is a damn good 1-4 of a rotation. They just havent all been healthy at the same time this season but they will be starting this weekend. The Stros come back has started
@@ItsHammyTime-rr7ri JV if he can save enough in the tank for the playoffs but Framber has been shaky. Everytime it was his turn in the ALCS he blew it. Hes got a lot to prove this season
I suspect their demise is vastly overstated. If they still suck in 6 weeks, then we panic. I still expect them to make the ALCS again. I hope I’m wrong.
No team in modern baseball has started 7-19 and even so much as made the postseason. Not once. If there’s any roster on paper in the history of the mlb that actually deserves it though, it’s them of course
@@TheIcecreamtaco2019 Nationals were awful to start

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's over, but their pitching prospects plus the pitching that they have in the majors is awful so far.

@@shawnwharry952 7 straight ALCS appearances is objectively a dynasty. Being a consistent postseason menace is the closest an MLB team can come to being a dynasty. The best team doesn’t always win the World Series, that’s a fact
@@TheIcecreamtaco Thats cause there not the best team
We need a whole video dedicated to the downfall of Jose Abreu. I just can’t fathom how bad my goat El Pito has been since joining Houston.
And I just heard news that Jose is being brought down to the minors. I need answers man this just breaks my heart🥺
@@ItzLazer I dont have answers as I dont follow Astros but hey, life is rough, its competition, it brings out the best (or the lack of) out of everyone.
Btw don't call him a goat. That word has lost all but any meaning - "greatest of all time"? Is he your greatest of MLB, or greatest of Astros all time, or maybe greatest of Astros that one year?
@@lcglazer I’ma white Sox fan. I’ve been following the team for since 2017. And I can say that he is my favorite white Sox player. To me he had all the tools to be an all time great 1st basemen(defense being his only weak spot). It just saddens me when I’ve known him from all his success on the south side and now he’s playing in triple A. So yes to me he is the goat. And I’d like to see ITalk make a video showing why he has became as bad as he is now. Is it because he has left his original team or has he just gotten to old to be a serviceable MLB player.
My boi blanco is 3 -0 and im still sad about hunter brown
Blanco! He has had a helluva April, that's for freaking sure.
I think they can turn things around, if their pitching comes back and they dominate. Just like last year some of their guys that are vital to their success were out and they were struggling. But when the came back they were good again. I’m not an astros fan but if these things happen. They still have a good chance on making the playoffs
Homeboy gonna make another video about them in October 😂

Month of May will be the vital month. If Astros turn things around in the next 30-40 days then anything is possible.
Dominant team, never a dynasty. Two championships five years apart doesn't make a dynasty.
Making the ALCS 7 years in a row is good enough.
So the 90's braves weren't a dynasty?
1 legitimate ring
@@danr154 It's great. Not a dynasty.
@@theflipper404 In my opinion a dynasty is winning the championship a lot in a small time frame. Like the Yankees and the A's threepeat or the Giants 2010-14 dynasty.
If Houston had done everything they have except win their two rings, no one would call them a dynasty, and winning two five years apart I don't think makes very good criteria for calling them a dynasty.
Well, as an Astros fan, y’all also need to remember part of the reason that the farm system is pretty weak is because of the cheating scandal we lost our first round pick for three years who knows that could’ve been an impact young starter or an impact bat on this team right now
Sucks...Maybe don't cheat🤷 🎉
What is this? Consequences for their actions????
Perhaps they shouldn't have cheated? Got off too easy imo.
Damn almost like they shouldn’t have cheated.
The yanks got it even easier with only a $100,000 fine

I hope so but it's too early to tell for now.
I believe your next video should be, "I Owe The Philles An Apology" 😂
Or how he was wrong about Joey Gallo.
Hey man! Love what you are doing!! Been a stros fan all my life, i lived in Houston for most of that time. I remember a time when the stros sucked!! so I hope they keep it going! Go Stros!!
I know they are 10-19, but to say their dynasty is over is way too early to tell. They should very well make a playoff spot. I wont be surprised if it happens.
Astros are on the downfall cause they don’t have any good prospects and they did they same mistake as the royals putting all there chips In For a couple years to then have nothing. Now it is now an exact comparison but that is the best example. Unlike the dodgers they have money to Spend and always have a Great farm system for trades and talents for the team.
Astros wayyyyyy more successful than the Royals though. Can't even compare but yes, Houston's farm system doesn't show a strong future for the Astros
@@iTalkStudios Yes they were but they both won 1 ws and the Astros cheated on 2017 now that isn’t every thing but what stopped them from using it until 2019 when they were caught?

Yeah, when they played the Rockies the other day and they had roughly equal records I couldn't quite believe it lol. The rockies have been appalling
Just a video idea. The Mets vs. Cards game from 4/28/24, is everything good with baseball.
If the bullpen straightens out, and rotation heals...look out. If not(or the hitters who are hitting get hurt). they drop to .500. Sadly, Jose Abreu is toast

The Astros are your Daddy!!!!!! Hahaha!!!!!! Stay mad baby girl.
2 rings in 6 seasons was never a “dynasty” to me lol but I guess that’s all semantics anyway. That being said it’s very early in the season in the season to call if they’re a bad team now or not.
Agree with you. Dynasty or no dynasty it was one of the more successful seven years runs in recent memory so it is what it is.
its funny how everyone hates the cowboys (who is not from dallas) but people like the texans, while in baseball many don't like the astros, many do like the raners.
Statistically speaking, no one seems to actually care about the rangers. The lowest viewed World Series in history, game 1 was the lowest viewed game and only went down linearly by game 5.
Also the cowboys are the Mets of football, completely different story
Rangers and Astros are the more historically successful teams in Texas football and Texas baseball, on a long enough timescale.
Same reason people get tired of the LA Lakers, NY Yankees, St Louis Cardinals, etc.
@@TheIcecreamtacoCowboys are more like the Yankees. Fans that still ride their past success and expect every year to be their year.
@@gfox9295No matter their success. Football is still king in Texas
@@RC_928 Well it’s more like the Mets in that they and the cowboys both act like their track record is as good historically as the Yankees lmao. With the Yankees it’s just the lack of recency and that a long time ago there was the lack of a luxury tax and other rules related to drafts to even the playing field and not just make it the success of the richest team
Bro. Season isn’t over yet. Sure, the Astros have looked terrible since the season started, but I still believe we can come back once fully healthy. Our hitting isn’t the problem. It’s our pitching. And so many of our pitchers are on the IL. Season isn’t over. We can still come back from this. And even if we miss the playoffs this year, it’s not like we will be going into a rebuild or anything.

"Did you cheat to win a world series?
"Yup. And it totally worked"
"At least you are being honest now."
"So...we're going to be punished?"
"Nope."
"Cool."
The ways MLB trolls the fans is legendary.
Right losing a manger to only get a better one and lose only 5 mil is nothing to an MLB team
Idk if I consider Dusty a better baseball manager, but they needed someone like him to help bring good vibes back in the locker room
tough start, but I think we might be able to turn it back
A real dynasty would be around 3 titles in 5 years, the Astros aren't a dynasty just a really good team
I only count two titles. No dynasty
The glazing is crazy
It’s about time they start to fall apart but with being a month in I do think it’s a bit premature to call it
Their team OPS+ was 111 last year, and is actually 116 this year so far.
The ERA+ is...another matter.
Went from 107 last year to *78* this year. I dont understand how that even happens
Missing a whole 6 man rotation to start the season and the bullpen being terrible all season while having to pitch more innings than the starters doesn't help.
Here comes all the Astros fans crying
1. Astros definitely had a dynasty. 7 years and at least 2 championships have always been the magic numbers for me.
2a. I think they’re just slumping. That’s about it. Hader **should** get back to top shape by June, when it’s hotter and the team’s back in the flow, but don’t expect him to suddenly get back to 1.28 era again, but he didn’t exactly have a stellar year two years ago.
2b. Closers are weird, they’ll just have a really good year sometimes, and then have something happen in their mechanics or process that they need to fix the next year. Nature of the most complex position in baseball.
3. Even though the new manager is familiar with the squad doesn’t mean they’ll play the same. Sometimes the secret sauce is in consistency, and considering the guy wants to change things up first year like this can be concerning. Baseball is weird, only so many things you can control.
1 actually cheating doesn’t count
No they’re not😂😂😂😹😹😂😹😂😂😂😂😂😹 1 title in 8 years is not a dynasty. They cheated in 2017 it doesn’t count. Cry about it loser
Asterisks are not a dynasty. *1 title in 60 years isn’t a dynasty, sorry. Cry all you want to cheater
1 actually
*1. Cheating doesn’t count unfortunately
I think that sweep by the Yankees set the tone for there szn. They missing the playoffs
If they lost their chance at the playoffs during the first four games of the season, there really wasn't much point. Losing the ALCS 2019 WS style (losing all 4 games at home again) to the in-state rival Texas Rangers was not the way to continue the ALCS streak, so what would October 2024 have in store for them anyway?
.... stay tuned and maybe find out. But yeah, we'll see.
No run of greatness lasts forever. I expect them to bounce back, but I believe the streak of seven straight LCS appearances will come to an end. They need to retool.
Right now FanGraphs is saying Jose Abreu will be optioned to minors on their RosterResource lmao
God I hope you’re right. They got bailed out from having to deal with crowds in 2020 after getting caught. Also should have had the ring stripped
I would hardly call one legitimate title a "dynasty". I don't care how many LCS titles they have, they've only won it all twice*.
It’s a bit weird because when the Astros are not doing so well the Texans and or the Rockets are doing great
Not a single mention of losing all four games at home to the Nats?
The Astros currently sit at 10-19 with 3 straight wins. I think they rebound nicely with Verlander looking fantastic, Valdez being back, Javier and Urquidy coming back soon, and Abreu DFA'd.
Abreu and Hader will rebound. Hader already has started to show signs of getting better. Nobody is elite this year, I think the Astros will be fine. They do need to hit big on a couple draft picks though.
Sadly, they couldn't make it 4 straight wins. But hey, 4 out of 5 ain't bad. Just gotta keep that up over the course of the next few months and bingo bango bongo, it's 8th straight ALCS time? Just... please no Texas Rangers or NY Yankees this year, kthxplz baseball gods? Baltimore Orioles would be a great change of pace!
I remember as a kid if you mentioned the Astros in public, someone would ask "Houston has a baseball team?" Good times, good times.
Like in the late 2000s?
Like during the 3 straight 100 loss seasons? Yeah.
I remember visiting Houston in the summer of 2011 and the sports talk of town was the upcoming Texans season.
They had a losing season 2020. That was 40 ish games. They start slow and are not at full strength. But who knows maybe this year we watch the Texans instead
Hey, remember when Bregman was a "declining cheater"? Pepperidge Farm remembers.....
To your credit, you did an "i was wrong" video. Anyway, considering the Rotation has gotten 2 massive pieces back, and will get another this weekend, PLUS 3 more over the course of the next couple month, aaaaand they just won their 3rd straight by walking off the best team in the AL? Id say its looking like you might be doing another "i was wrong" video by about the allstar break....
if this dude says something the opposite tends to happen so congrats to the next AL champions Astros
Its still way too early to call anything, and I still see them making the playoffs. The roster at the major league level just has too much talent to not turn around their horrible start.
new logo i see
Abreu: gets sent back to minors
Astros: starts winning again
And you still won't make a cardinal video? Hey love the content talk about the cards thiera fans are struggling too.

I couldn't remember if it was the 2004 or 2005 team,t hanks for the precision there. The 15-30 start had the Houston Chronicle declaring them dead with a tombstone picture in the papers one day. Reverse jinx was in!
The fact the Astros get an entire video like this after one slow month is telling
bruh this ain’t no dynasty they got 2 chips😭😭😭 the sf giants were the dynasty
Jose Abreu's last season with the Sox wasn't good. He's always hit into double plays ... He was overvalued
We're just making it a little more exciting this year thats all. The boys been at it for a while play until november every year enjoy holidays and vacation then ramp up back again. this team gets better as the season goes hence 7 ALCS. ALSO THIS LOW RANKING NON TOP 100 FARM SYSTEM PRODUCED GEORGE SPRINGER CARLOS CORREA ALEX BREGMAN KYLE TUCKER YORDAN ALVAREZ FRAMBER VALDEZ CRISITAN JAVIER BRYAN ABREU JEREMY PENA AND NOW JOEY LOPERFIDO. THOSE RANKINGS MEAN NOTHING LET ME SEE IT ON FIELD.
Don't count them out. They're going to be in the postseason and then all bets are off.
Dynasty ended following that damn Game 7 loss to the Rangers. Best players are old and regressing (Altuve, Bregman, Tucker, Verlander) and they have a rookie manager with questionable lineups. Abreu is a disaster offensively and defensively and the farm System has been depleted. The reality is this team is probably done for a few years, might as well start rebuilding again
It's a good run but it's not a true dynasty. It's borderline at best.
That wasn't a dynasty though unless you're going by AL pennants.
Ppl are over reacting. They are 10-19. But there are alot of games in the season...if we adjusted this to the nba they would be 5-9...if you saw the 2018 warriors start 5-9 would you say there season was over? Hell if any nba team started 5-9 you wouldnt say their season was over.
Dont worry guys the astros aint goin anywhere. They still have abaolute bomberw in their line ip and fire breathers in their rotations
It’s over. They are toast this year and might as well start looking for the next dynasty team for the future.
I feel like it's an early slump and they'll bounce back eventually. We're likely years away from their Dynasty being fully over but hey this is MLB after all anything can happen. I don't think they're ginna rebuild fully but either they'll do a mini rebuild with some players nearing free agency leaving and they'll see where it goes for the next season but besides that most likely still compete

Texas and Seattle are better and younger than us - we crushed it for a long time but we have no young talent to replenish our losses. Have to stop throwing the name dynasty around when they only won 2 in a spread out period. Dynasty is when a team wins 3 or more in a short period of time whether it’s a 3 peat or 3 of 4 years

The Astros are probably done this year in 2024 but I hate saying this but they’ll be back in 2025. Winning 2 WS and (one of them was an asterisk) in a 6 year span isn’t a dynasty. Go look at the Chiefs that’s a dynasty. The last baseball dynasty was the Giants 2010, 2012, and 2014
The astros are going to improve. There’s no way that bullpen will continue to be that bad, they still have a good looking offense and if they can get some of their injured starters back they will be fine BUT their dynasty is definitely going to come to an end. They don’t have the high end prospects like they use to and altuve who is the heart and soul of the team will decline eventually and probably soon. I’m pretty sure bregman and tucker will both be free agents pretty soon on top of that
Altuve is still somehow the best hitter on the team this year suprisingly.
He's on pace to win another silver slugger since no other 2nd basemen hits as good as him.
