    14:23 Just want to confirm that Brawler (& Blade Dancer) does NOT increase melee bleed damage done in any way. The cards that do increase melee bleed damage are:
    - Brutal Claw
    - Gnasher Mastery
    - On The Flank
    I couldn't give you the explanation why those cards increase bleed damage but not Brawler/Blade Dancer, but I hypothesised it's to do with increased weapon damage that gives an increase to bleed damage.

      Tested this, he's right, I just overlooked this, will edit that out. Melee Bleed Damage only improves your baseline melee damage for some reason, 112 damage per level of the perk, bizarre. Brutal Claw and Gnasher Master do improve this by whatever percentage of damage buff your card is it, but only whilst holding the weapon. These are some really strange interactions, but thanks for pointing it out, pinning this comment

    I used Energy Surge and Thrill of the Hunt on an Inconceivable Jingle Juvies run on Canals recently. For some reason my entire squad left the match except me and a mechanic. My build was so tanky though that I ended up defending the taps single handedly for like ten waves until some new replacements joined the match.
    Naturally, after I perked my bleed damage, the Thrill of the Hunt card and the Blademaster's passive kept me at full health constantly as long as I could melee someone. Being at full health meant that Energy Surge was constantly generating stim.
    This required a very disciplined playstyle though. I stuck to the taps like glue, only leaving when there were five enemies left in the wave.

      @hollowstrife8220  Před 2 lety +1

      Staying near taps is what lets me down, I somehow don't have it in me to stay close by, even though I know I should

      @@hollowstrife8220 well that was only twenty waves of Jingle juvies. i don't think anyone wants to play that way for a full 50.

    Ambush seems to reduce Ultimate cooldown not just by killing enemies from behind but also by bleed kills on enemies that have a DBNO state. 2-3 hits on many drone type enemies are enough to kill them with bleed damage and at level 5-6 with Ambush the Ultimate comes back really quickly.
    Thanks for the guide! Underrated class imo

    Yo I just pick up the game a few weeks ago and tried this class, lol 😆😆 I got more kills with this class then any other class I've played....for a player who knows how to play the class and with the right card setup this class I'd say is borderline op

  • @alexsansoneyt2623
    @alexsansoneyt2623 Před rokem

    Honestly the setup that I use is
    1. Blade Dancer
    2. Thrill of the hunt
    3. Brawler
    4. Shock Chain
    5. Short Range Deflection
    Because blade dancer for me at least helps me kill enemies faster and be able to kill scions in 2-3 hits with a breaker mace shock chain to get abunch of kills and deal alot of bleed damage obviously thrill of the hunt and short range Deflection is to have more survival and you get your back fast because of bleed damage hope this helps

    I didnt really see any appreciation for Energy Surge. Thats one of Blademasters best cards, right next to Thrill of the Hunt. I never take that card off, it helps with protection from frags, shotguns, anything that does massive damage in 1 hit. It even stops boomshots on occasion.
    Brutal Claw isn't useful at all. Any kind of gun centered build for BM isn't good in Horde.
    Also, Short Range deflect still gives you damage resist to being meleed by an enemy that is hitting you with their gun. Basically, if you have all the resists going and an Elite Drone smacks you it won't even hurt or stagger you.

    • @hollowstrife8220
      @hollowstrife8220  Před 2 lety +3

      I like Energy Surge, but I either run too far away from taps, or have that weird bug where it never gives you more than 1 tick of stim. Think I rely more on Shock Shield. I agree with Brutal Claw, there needs to be more to support this kind of playstyle.
      But anyone else reading this comment should go and check out some of Relaxing Koty's videos, he is a much better Blademaster than me!

      I have to agree 100%, it would have been nice to have a card that has you deal more damage as the clip gets lower and lower, and support it with something else that reduces the staggering/jamming 'feature' that the Claw has. Let's hope we get more fleshed out classes for Gears 6 👍

    The weakest class in my opinion. Nothing holds it up as a strong class in a team. I like to be the one who keeps the team alive and I've levelled up all classes except Blade master and Robotics. My favourites are Pilot, Jack, Medic and Infiltrator

    • @Ultra_Gnasty
      @Ultra_Gnasty Před rokem

      “Weakest class” is an understatement. Blademaster is one of the strongest classes in the game and the most fun class to play as imo. Using the right cards along with its passive ability makes the class super tanky and almost, not quite, but almost near impossible to be killed. Calling it the weakest class very much underestimates Blademaster’s full potential. I understand why you may think it’s the weakest though. Some players may find it intimidating playing as a CQC class. It may not fit their playstyle.

    • @dopaminetime
      @dopaminetime Před rokem

      @@Ultra_Gnasty I honestly just found it the weakest. I've levelled every single class up to level 20 and mastered them all and know each one like the back of my hand so I'm confident in my opinion. The top class and my favourite is Pilot as it can be used as an all round tank and saviour of the team. So many games I've saved the whole round as a Pilot whereas Blade master does jack shit in terms of reviving, power, skills.

    • @Ultra_Gnasty
      @Ultra_Gnasty Před rokem

      @@dopaminetime While I do agree that Pilot is the best overall class since it can pretty much kill any enemy and be tanky in its own right, I still disagree about Blademaster being the weakest class. I believe it just comes down to the player’s skill level. In terms of power as you said, a single shock chain during its ultimate can wipe out most of the wave if you’re quick and aggressive enough. Revives shouldn’t be too much of a problem as long as people are situationally aware. Then again, that should be a general mindset regardless. As for skills, well as I mentioned before it all comes down to the player’s skill with the class. To each their own, I guess.

    Hey, so I levelled up my execution card for ammo drops (Efficient Executioner) but even maxed out it still only drops Pilfer ammo, not full ammo pouches. Is this a bug or does it happen with anyone else? I thought maybe it was just for escape, the Pilfer ammo drops, but I tried in horde and it's the same, no ammo pouches, just Pilfer. Any info at all would be great mate, loving all your guides they really helped me understand the classes and gameplay better man, thanks for the vids, keep it up!

    • @hollowstrife8220
      @hollowstrife8220  Před 2 lety

      So I've just double checked it, all the boxes that drop are all referred to as Pilfer Ammo, but the ammo pouch one you get from a Level 6 skill card looks the same as a medium sized ammo box you would find in Escape. These give a lot more ammo, than the smaller ones, which look like a single Lancer magazine. I hope this helps
