I was very disappointed. I enjoyed the 2 minute snippets with Kate and Anthony the most. It was nice that the producer threw us a bone before shipping them off to India. I am sure we won't be seeing Kate and Anthony anytime soon.

I think it was Lady Danbury talking the Queen down again. Remember when she and the Queen were playing chess. The Queen said, you could have won the game, and LD said, yes but the game would have been over, and what's the fun in that? I think that's why she didn't come for Whistledown.
They could have taken the time spent on Benedict and that boring storyline and spent that on Polin. Also, in the first half, Cressida is sympathetic... then she is a villian...Eloise turned on her mad quick ..I don't know her....what? That totally flew in the face of the whole theme about women not having a voice and not being able to make their own decisions... So you all can't recognize a woman who's being kept down by her family and is that desperate... There was no understanding as to what was going on with her ...there was no empathy to get to the root of the problem. And what happened to Lord Debley... What you only paid that actor for the first 4 episodes and we're not supposed to notice that he's just gone.... And was there any point to having Anthony and his wife in the show ...I mean I felt like they were just set decoration.... Couldn't you tell a complete difference in quality and mood of the show from the first 4 episodes to the second.. Did they change writers or something? I'm gonna watch it again to see if my opinion changes but I'm kind of disappointed and Penelope is my favorite.
We got the same amount of scenes between Pen and Collin as we did between Benedict and Lady Arnold. I dont even know that lady. 😂 The payoff should have been bigger.
I'm SO very frustrated with the route the season took. It was my most anticipated season, my beloved Polin! This new showrunner ruined the show IMHO. I don't believe it can even be called a period series any longer. It's just a travesty.

When she said she couldn't even manage to marry a man who would properly provide for his family, I felt bad for her ole crusty tail; you could feel the vulnerability and guilt she felt because she ended up marrying a buster . Lord Featherington didn't care a damn about the safety and security of his children and basically left Mama Featherington in survival mode for her and the kids for years, even before he died.

I felt like this season was trash. They wasted three scenes that they could've used for polin on benedict sex scenes. In Benedict's book he gets into a side conversation with sophie where she asks him if he has had sex with men and he said yes but it wasn't a big part of the book. So I felt like they could have done like the beginning of the scene where they were about to do it and cut all the other scenes out. I dont't even understand why they made Eloise and Cressida friends if they didn't even hint she was swingin the other way. The books don't even have them as friends so..I was confused.. They had too much of the viscount in this season..wasted my time. It almost seemed like they were purposely trying to have as little of polin on screen as they could. There was a whole scene in the book where she is dancing in a courtyard and he sees her from afar where they could have built that anticipation but they didnt have it in the show. I got complaints, comments, and concerns about michael, I mean Michaela. The book on audible is amazing and I'm sorry but no. I don't even want to watch the show anymore. Francesca wants babies in the book and that is a huge part of the book so I dont even know how they gonna do that. This was the best book too. Ummm..ruined. I'm so mad cuz here we had a woman more curvy than the rest so they had the opportunity to really make this shine and instead we got trash. I just thought to myself who in the world wrote this season cuz they need to be fired. Ooo I'm out here mad. Were the outfits great, yes, but could the show have been ten times better, yes.

Michaela Sterling is going to be knocking boots with Francesca. In the books, the character was Michael Sterling and Francesca's second husband, but Jess, the showrunner gender swapped the character because they wanted a Bridgerton to have a main queer love story. I love your reviews. You're so funny, and you were honestly the best thing about s3 because this season didn't give like the others have.
I would almost prefer Violet to have the so-called queer angle. What readers claim they love about Francesca and John is the infertility struggle. It's very personal for a lot of people. In Season 3 Francesca is very strong willed.The neurodivergent angle worked for the two characters in developing their relationship. What Francesca says clearly in Season 3 is that she wants a family. She's not so disinterested in the domestic life like Eloise. Eloise is perfectly set up to have the fling with Mikayla, especially if she is going to be in Scotland with John and Francesca. Foisting a queer agenda on Francesca, who has an established story arch, just for the sake of waving the queer flag is so offputting. In the novel Francesca loves her husband, but he dies early. Michael falls in love with Francesca immediately, but he restrains himself out of loyalty to his cousin John. If it was Mikayla who felt the first stirrings, that is one thing. But if it's Francesca, then she is basically saying her feelings for John are fake. What is refreshing about Francesca is that is she is honest. She is not fake and she doesn't have drama. Okay, maybe it's good to shake things up. But Season 3 was a hot mess. I have no confidence this new angle they want to throw on Francesca is going to be done well or tastefully.The showrunner has shown ZERO sensitivity or creativity. She and her team are hacks. So everybody is gung ho to see the lovely Francesca roll in bed with Mikayla. Okie dokie. I'm not going to watch this.
season 3 seemed so rushed, coming from the queen charlotte episodes to this I was disappointed. It wasn't bad but it could have been wayyyyy better the characters deserved more, I needed more hunching scenes and all , they just threw it to us and said " here damn " like they just wanted to get the season out.

These are my thoughts exactly. Not that I’m against having a queer love story but this change fundamentally changes Francesca’s arc. If anything everyone thought Eloise would be a better candidate for a same sex story because her book is super meh so it could have actually improved on her arc. Francesca’s book is one of the top ones for the book series fans so they are going to have to blow people away with the changes if they want to get the buy in from that audience
Maybe they're going to change up their storyline. Maybe they'll be out in Scotland since it's so far away and then when they come back the'll be secretive. I would HATE that storyline tho.

I didn’t enjoy this season AT ALL!! There should’ve been more of buildup of Penelope and Colin relationship (I guess that’s his name)like they did for previous couples it just fell flat. I’m lost on the other sister and the black guy plus the mother/black guy and the other brother and girl /guy situation too much was going on.Even the Queen didn’t bring it this season neither did Lady Danbury and they are my faves .Cressida ,her momma and Eloise got on my nerves.
Yeah this season wasn't the best. And the Penelope and Colin storyline was rushed. The ex scene was meh. Not sure how the next season will go or if I'll be even watching it at this point. Seems like the reviews/recaps are more entertaining than the actual show. Great review.
Mikayla is the John’s cousin. In the book John dies then she marries Michael John’s cousin in the Netflix version they made him a her I’m guessing to add lesbian relationship
I thought Penelope got pregnant after the first night they had sex. Because ending credits showed her and her sisters babies & her sisters were a few months pregnant during the show. And the babies don’t look but about a few months a part🤷🏽♀️

Michaela Sterling is going to be knocking boots with Francesca. In the books, the character was Michael Sterling and Francesca's second husband, but Jess, the showrunner gender swapped the character because they wanted a Bridgerton to have a main queer love story. Ohhhhh! I was wondering why Francesca was so tongue tied during their introduction. I knew she married John's cousin, but I didn't peep the name.
I would almost prefer Violet to have the so-called queer angle. What readers claim they love about Francesca and John is the infertility struggle. It's very personal for a lot of people. In Season 3 Francesca is very strong willed.The neurodivergent angle worked for the two characters in developing their relationship. What Francesca says clearly in Season 3 is that she wants a family. She's not so disinterested in the domestic life like Eloise. Eloise is perfectly set up to have the fling with Mikayla, especially if she is going to be in Scotland with John and Francesca.
Foisting a queer agenda on Francesca, who has an established story arch, just for the sake of waving the queer flag is so offputting. In the novel Francesca loves her husband, but he dies early. Michael falls in love with Francesca immediately, but he restrains himself out of loyalty to his cousin John. If it was Mikayla who felt the first stirrings, that is one thing. But if it's Francesca, then she is basically saying her feelings for John are fake. What is refreshing about Francesca is that is she is honest. She is not fake and she doesn't have drama. Okay, maybe it's good to shake things up. But Season 3 was a hot mess. I have no confidence this new angle they want to throw on Francesca is going to be done well or tastefully.The showrunner has shown ZERO sensitivity or creativity. She and her team are hacks. So everybody is gung ho to see the lovely Francesca roll in bed with Mikayla. Okie dokie. I'm not going to watch this.

season 3 seemed so rushed, coming from the queen charlotte episodes to this I was disappointed. It wasn't bad but it could have been wayyyyy better the characters deserved more, I needed more hunching scenes and all , they just threw it to us and said " here damn " like they just wanted to get the season out.

These are my thoughts exactly. Not that I’m against having a queer love story but this change fundamentally changes Francesca’s arc. If anything everyone thought Eloise would be a better candidate for a same sex story because her book is super meh so it could have actually improved on her arc. Francesca’s book is one of the top ones for the book series fans so they are going to have to blow people away with the changes if they want to get the buy in from that audience
Maybe they're going to change up their storyline. Maybe they'll be out in Scotland since it's so far away and then when they come back the'll be secretive. I would HATE that storyline tho.

I didn’t enjoy this season AT ALL!! There should’ve been more of buildup of Penelope and Colin relationship (I guess that’s his name)like they did for previous couples it just fell flat. I’m lost on the other sister and the black guy plus the mother/black guy and the other brother and girl /guy situation too much was going on.Even the Queen didn’t bring it this season neither did Lady Danbury and they are my faves .Cressida ,her momma and Eloise got on my nerves.

Yeah this season wasn't the best. And the Penelope and Colin storyline was rushed. The ex scene was meh. Not sure how the next season will go or if I'll be even watching it at this point. Seems like the reviews/recaps are more entertaining than the actual show. Great review.
