Cooper i have been watching you on this channel since the beginning. It is fairly obvious that you are a mechanical genius. I have observed your personality blossom as you have finished your high school years and continuing your life's profession. Simply amazing young man. Your mom and dad have done a wonderful job raising you. Remind them tonight how much you appreciate and love them!!

Cooper, I really enjoyed your explanation of cutting the grass/alfalfa. I also like watching you rake the hay. You do an excellent job of narrating what you are doing. Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach. Cooper is a good farmer and mechanic, he doesn't need to be a teacher. We treat our teachers like dirt, minimum wage, no authority, then unionize them so we strip their dedication to students and train them to complain and whine.

If they make you a good deal on the package, do it. Each piece of equipment is dependable and has good reliability. If you look closely at the forage business, as a business, it can be good to you as long as you have hay ground and are willing to feed the ground to increase volume and quality. A good reputation for producing quality forage and you won't have to look for customers.

When I was in high school, I worked part time for a hay processer here in California. Since the humidity is much lower during the day and the hay dries out, almost all hay processing (raking, bailing) is done at night. At night the humidity would go up and introduce moisture back into the alfalfa so the leaves would not fall off. So, I would start work at 7:00 p/m and work till about 1:00 to 2:00 a/m. It was a little spooky on moonless nights.

The tractor that I learned to drive on also had a sunroof... Well, it didn't have any roof at all to be fair. No cab, or door, or anything like that. None of them fancy frills... Just a roll over bar, four wheels, a steering wheel, and an engine. LOL. The first implement that I was trained on and learned to use was a MoCo as well. Nothing like driving tractor and implement down a two-lane windy highway with a cliff on one side, as a 15-year-old with no driver's license yet. I sure as heck thought I was pretty cool though, and it was one of the best ways I could think of to learn how to drive (anything) on roads like that. Of course, the tractor and implement were both green, so I've always leaned towards green since then.
Anyway, boy do those new tractors look slick and awfully nice. Thanks for sharing it with us, Cooper. That mullet is coming along nicely, and looking awfully majestic and magical as well!

Cooper, glad to see you trying some green equipment. One suggestion I have is to turn the drawbar over on the tractor when you hook up the baler it'll help avoid catching and dragging the large windrows and also opens the pickup more. Just be careful with the hoses and cables I had to reroute them out the bottom of the hitch so the PTO wouldn't rub on them in a sharp turn like you will encounter doing waterways. And for all the people commenting on the loose lug bolts, those are the jack screws to push the wedges loose to move the wheels in or out. The important ones look to be tight!!

Appreciate it but I wasn't looking for anything just wanted to offer a couple tips that I found helpful, one other thing I thought of is that most of the time the blades on the mower can be turned over but unless you're trying to mow a lawn they don't have to be razor sharp.

Try slowing down some on the alfalfa. It won't pull up all of it but our old gehl discbine would pick it up some. Also try adjusting the head tilt down if the is anymore tilt left and the field is a good one. Last but not least if you drop the part in the back by the rollers it will lay out the window to help it dry faster as well. Good luck buddy... It should be red stuff but it never hurts to try it out!

The onboard coolers on the new stuff is amazing. No more coolers and ice sloshing around in the corner or strapped somewhere on the outside.
