DJ Carlo I totally admire the fact that you give free advice out and great advice it is. I have a complicated question and hope this is the place to ask it. I have seen some well known DJ's do an effect during mixing. While playing a song and while the music is playing of that same song, they scratch the first word of the lyric in. But at the same time the music of that same song is playing. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right but if I am, can you please give a tutorial on how this is done. It would be very greatly appreciated. I've always wondered how this is done and how it's possible

As always great video! Wish the thing about request would be true though...the people who ask me for specific songs ALWAYS come back at least twice. And it's hard to ignore negative comments. For my part, negative comments always ruin my mood and I have a hard time getting back into the groove.

Hey DJ Carlo. What is the best program to use for beginner DJ for timing counting Beats and doing that cool slip mode effect. I have Serato DJ light and DDJ sb2 I haven't used my free trial yet cuz I'm trying to get used to the lite but I feel like I'm missing out on so much. I'm not sure if I should go with this monthly subscription or I'm thinking I really just want to buy the pro Serato full version. please help I just got all my tools less than a month ago and I've came so far watching your videos and tutorials I'm just not sure what program I should actually use. I'm a beginner DJ and I don't really want to waste money on something I can't get used to.

Hi Carlo! I just recently earned my first paid gig. However through the process, I realised I don't really know what to do with my arms/hands/fingers after I successfully mix in a song. How do professional DJs keep their hands busy all the time on the CDJs! Are most of the 'knob touching' just for show?

When you get a request and you take it on, how do you know that it’s going to go well with the song your currently going to change it from in your set, I feel like if I work requests into my mix it’ll mess the whole thing up? Any advice??

good tips dj carlo, but sometimes you cannot please everyone...your suggestion are working especially if they request then you're just going to signal them that you're going to play it :D that way they will leave you alone :D
If I pay a monthly subscription to for example soundcloud or beatport etc, will that allow me to take any track from there and use it in rekordbox to record live mixes also will it fully allow me to save all this music to a usb for my own use?
