  • To get straight to making your Kontiki go to 2.13 and miss the intro. This video has had the audio taken out due to copyright in one part but will have no effect on showing you the process. This is a fun and cheap a way to construct your own personal Kontiki raft that will get your hooks and line far out to sea to catch fish. Join my daughter and myself as we go about trying to harvest food from the sea and land here in the South Island in New Zeland where we live.

Cheers for laid back lesson on the kontiki raft construction Clay, enjoyed the mellow tunes, native bush and the bird song. The evening scene on the tranquil beach with the camp fire, colourful dish of fresh food and the company of your daughter (absolute quality time together) stirred some pleasant memories, and a longing to make some more of them. There is something magical about sitting by a camp fire with vast views of nature in the cool evening with a few close friends.
Good to see you again to Dayla, though not so fine to see you looking like you've got a wee touch of the blues, hope you find your vibrancy soon. Hold onto it when you do, its key to living your dreams ;-)
