Howard Marshall to her trademark full-figure physique. The retrospective also includes a visit to her Texas farm, and a special message from RuPaul about why the actress had become a phenomenon. Twenty-five years after her pop culture debut in centerfolds and GUESS ads, she died at 39 years old. In her final ET interview, Anna Nicole breaks down in tears as she grieves the death of her 20-year-old son, Daniel, who, like his mother shortly after, died of an accidental prescription drug overdose. In 2017, ET’s Kevin Frazier sat down with Larry Birkhead, the father of Anna Nicole’s daughter, Dannielynn, to hear how she honors her mom’s spirit.

She really loved Howard. I don’t care what no one says. She saved his life and brought him love and joy in his final years when he wanted to die, and he was the daddy she never had that gave her unconditional love and guidance, something she never got as a child. People can think it’s weird or wrong all they want, but they both loved and helped each other, it wasn’t just about the money.

100% I think he treated her like a gentleman should, and made her feel like a million bucks! Sometimes when someone makes you feel SAFE and cared for it’s more then just sexual!

@@courtenbradford drugs may have killed her but she died (mentally, emotionally & physically) from grief. Grief is devestating beyond words. I'm a mom who has survived 2 sons deaths.

She was a target bc she literally had it all. I love that she said she would want to just work at the chicken place & reminisced in her old life. She was so... herself & kind & lovable. She was incredible. When her son died she couldn't live any more. RIP Anna Nicole.
She basically sold her soul for fame. She tried to use drugs to numb her conscious but of course that did not work. If her son had a stable mom maybe he would be alive. What good is it to gain the whole world and forfeit your soul?

@@MeneTekelUpharsin Everyone has their reason for doing what they do in their life. You can’t just judge her if you’ve never met her. You can tell she was a great mother but clearly her childhood had led her to letting her son have the freedom that he had and he clearly was struggling with something personal. That doesn’t mean Anna wasn’t there for him. He made a really bad decision that caused his life and she clearly felt guilty even though it really wasn’t her fault. So you can’t say things like that about someone who you don’t know what went on in their lives!!
People have always said negative things about her but she was a good mom and loved her son very much. It was heart braking to see her talk about his death. RIP Anna and Daniel.

She was just too vulnerable, and it was unfortunate that she became a victim of fame. I don't believe anything they ever said about her, to me, she was genuinely a sweet loving mother. Who died by the hands of the greedy. RIP ANS❤

I hate that people thought she was just a gold digger. Howard chased her first, he wasn't a stupid man... he wanted to marry her and knew what that entailed. She really did love him, he was the first man that gave her a secure, beautiful life. If she just wanted his money, she wouldn't have fought so hard to keep him alive when his own son wanted to pull life support measures. Yes he was very old, but Anna still wanted to keep him alive and was vocal about how much she disliked that they didn't do more for him when he died from pneumonia. I always loved Anna and always will, I feel like I can relate to her.

I sometimes wonder are children more affected by a parent passing away during their childhood .. or from a baby growing up and never knowing them at all . I honestly don't have the words or the time it would take to describe how PHENOMENAL of a daddy Larry has been to their daughter .. the drama that man had to go through to get sole custody of his daughter was nothing short of a 3 RING CIRCUS .. but in the end it was worth it all .. and I know Anna has to be very PROUD of him . I remember watching the interview of Anna Nicole Smith was a wonderful person. Her son and I were the same age, and I knew after watching that Access Hollywood episode Anna Nicole Smith lost the will to live completely. If she would have been able to move forward in her life she would have played Marilyn Monroe in the movie 🍿🎥 in the 2010 film My Week With Marilyn. Anna Nicole Smith will always be remembered. Her & her Son had an unbreakable bond.
What a heartbreaking life Anna had, with the final straw being the death of her son. I feel like part of her passed away from a broken heart when that happened.
