    I love Kibbes body system! It really trains your eye to see all kinds of beauty everywhere, and it also helps you understand how to fix something when it looks “off.” Thanks for demonstrating how it works on you. You are really rocking this beauty journey ❤️

    I’m a Kibbe soft classic also. You have helped to deepen my understanding of what’s flattering on a soft classic. I just bought a big bucket bag and I couldn’t figure out why it just didn’t work for me-now I get it. Thanks for the tips!

  • @yensid4294
    @yensid4294 Před 4 lety +9

    I think for you, many styles classified as "classic" may be too boxy or stiff for your shaplier figure. So you might have to look for classic silhouettes but in more flowy, drapey frabrics if that makes sense. As far as that bag goes, the strap was too wide & the bag was too small in proportion to you. That's why you didn't like it on yourself. Certain romantic style elements, especially cut & fabric content but less detailed/frilly would probably work well for you, especially in dresses & skirts & blouses/tops. I don't think it's a boring style at all, it's just more challenging since you're striving for balance.

  • @MA-vf2ir
    @MA-vf2ir Před 3 lety +8

    Thanks for doing this; soft classics need more examples and options. Once I discovered Kibbe, it explained why I struggle with prints and patterns and why pointed-toe shoes look absurd on me even though everyone claims you should wear them as a power pump, to elongate your legs, etc. Also, yes, quality, somewhat refined fabrics with drape are sooooo much better for us. Really appreciate you giving some love to SC!

  • @Bejewelle88
    @Bejewelle88 Před 4 lety +39

    Please do the other body types as well! I'm opposite to you in that I'm trying VERY hard to downsize my wardrobe - I have a lot of options and sometimes feel it's too much (that is, I don't always see it all to wear it regularly and forget what I have - also storage can be a pain and seasonal changeovers can take a while!). But I could never do a capsule wardrobe either, way too limiting, though I admire those who can!

    I also classify as a soft classic and I really like watching Audrey Coyne's videos! She also identifies with this body type and she's definitely able to pull off a bunch of blazers and even Birkenstocks (although here are much more understated and slim). I think soft classics can wear these more structured things, just that the lines should be more soft, especially when they come to blazers and such

  • @Adrienne557
    @Adrienne557 Před rokem +2

    Such a great video -- you look 100% better in your lines. I would say that you are cool toned -- the black and white shirt and the silver sandals look amazing on you. I agree that the black is too deep for you, but the navy and brown (which was a cool toned brown) work because they are more muted. I can't imagine orange looking great on you. If I were to guess, you are a cool winter or cool summer.

    I love Kibbe's system and learned about it by Aly Art here on CZcams and I later found Merriam Style. Both have great content and that also goes for color theory. I find it hard, but have learned so much (and still am). I am a romantic and have igenue essence (Kitchener essences) so very Marilyn Monroe. And maybe why at times when all glammed up I have been said to look like her and after having pencil skirts, though not always practical, love wearing them and always gravitate towards them. I find it super interesting. Unfortunately I haven't found modern guides, if you will, for romantic ingenues or atleast not yet for the visual aspect. Thank you for sharing.

    I think this system makes so much more sense than just looking at the body shape! I’ve always been told I look so much like my mother, but I never understood why the clothing styles that look amazing on her don’t look good at me at all. She was types in the 90’s as a Natural and she has a lot more sharpness in her features than I do, but when you look solely at our proportions we are quite similar. She is longer than me though, and all my features are more soft. My sister is a natural as well, whilst I’m a classic.

    I'm very predominantly a Natural on the Kibbe quizes I've taken. Interestingly I have always admired the actresses they use as examples for the Natural style. Though some of the pics I find as examples online can be contradictory and confusing. It's an interesting journey.

    Great video! I've been into the Kibbe system for a while now and I think I might be a soft classic(I was going through a lot of types trying to figure it out for a long time but soft classic kind of makes sense). Would be great to see more videos along those lines if you haven't done them. I'll have to check out some of your other videos too since this one was so informative!

    This is very helpful! I agree with what you said, except I think you can still pull off that black dress it just doesn't look as fabulous as the other two you shared but I still think you can pull it off.

    This is so useful. I finally found out I was a soft classic and I'm currently making so many notes about my style, my undertone, my season, etc so that when covid is over I can buy clothes that suit me. I don't own a lot of clothes and most of the clothes I own are either neutral in terms of complimenting me or they are slightly bad on me. I hardly have any clothes that are really nice on me :( but I hardly have any clothes to begin with so many that part of it.

    The shades are cool. You could wear a beige or tan unbroken line. A sleek ponytail or bun nice lip color the shades then go. Don't get ride of them.

    Great video! I'm a SC too and have NEVER bought a pair of Birkenstocks even though I stay try them on every now & then - my feet always look huge in them. The definitely agree with your glasses choice - I nearly bought ones like the first pair, but changed my mind. My mum bought them instead who I think is a natural and looks heaps better in them.

    You remind me of Mila Kunis and she is a Theatrical Romantic. Even if I think you look fab in the SC clothes you picked out here 💚 I'm just curious how you would look in TR garments 😊

    The sunglasses that just were ABSOLUTELY perfect are the jennifer soft square sunglasses from Tom Ford. I tried them on in the store and it was absolutely stunning, I immediately fell in love. My parents agreed as well! They are however way too expensive but perhaps a good idea to know which form suits a fellow SC

    Omg that’s so crazy! Soft classic here. I love Birkenstock’s even though I know they’re not cute but only as house shoes now. I got myself the same sandals as you! That means I made the right choice!! 🥳

    I
    Agree with all your things; the glasses, the bag, the dress, and oh my god I hate Birkenstocks! I am a soft classic too and I agree I have gone too far with patterns and wild things that were too much for me in the past . Soft classic is tricky

    So interesting! The sunglasses you wear now do look better, but I think you can wear anything and look cute in it. I do get it though, one item is a better look than another. You do look great in navy. Who knew?! : )

    Loved this and you’re spot on with choices!! Going to do mine, I think I may be similar to yours. I gravitate to things (like your pink bag for example -love it!), but then I end up not feeling quite right when I wear it. Love solids. Black is too stark for me, sadly. 😩 hopefully you can just style your purse somewhere in your home because it is so adorable and it is a nice pop of color!! Or maybe gift it to your friend? Unless she’s the same body type as you of course LOL. Thanks for a great video!!👍👍❤️ More on Kibby body types, yes!
