I am so glad you have made this because every uni has its flaws but there are definitely benefits👍🏾 and the mean girls song was literally perfect for the first part of the video I LOVE IT 😂
I attend Durham University, and I have to admit that you're pretty spot on. I love it there though! The town is really pretty, everyone is really friendly, I enjoy my course and I had a great first year😊

The part about the student room...omg it gave me SO much anxiety and affected my mental health so baddly. I visited the site once already at uni and I was reading it DAILY looking up what people have got to say about my uni and event though it’s one of the unis you’ve mentioned which is supposed to be top I have never felt worse about myself for choosing it. EVERY uni seemed better, EVERY degree seemed more prestigious, I ended up thinking I’d never get any job with my qualifications. Seriously, it’s so harmful actually just as much as university rankings. From what I’ve heard there’s not really such thing as LeAGuE tAbLEs outside of UK and US probably

Just finished first day at Edinburgh uni, they gave us 3 pages of language work (I take Greek from scratch), A Shed load of reading to do and summarys for tomorrow with the implication that we should have started last week but the system was off last week. They also expect us to go to a ball this evening and still give them a full load of work the next day. I don't know how Ibz and viola cope at Oxbridge cause my first day is done and I'm already stressed to infinity and beyond

This is a lovely video idea, and completely agree with the sentiment - just a bit sad there's no defence for Lancaster! 😉 We're in the top ten in all three major UK league tables, the current Sunday Times university of the year, and were awarded TEF gold - but most importantly for me, everyone I've met there has been absolutely lovely, and I'm so grateful to be part of such a friendly community 😊

Went to york and leeds open day with my daughter the past two weeks and was impressed with both. Leeds with its iconic looking buildings; its got 3 nightclubs in its student union, and the accommodation is pretty reasonable price wise in comparison to others. And facilities was brilliant too, 3 libraries :). York was great, much more relaxed, is a collegiate uni, and it felt safe there, its low on crime rate. Still 3A's for physics (not quite b's lol). Daughter liked the layout, the numerous societies and the course. still got another 4+ more to see, but those ones were pretty good :)

This is so true. I was accepted at multiple Russell group unis, but I chose to attend a 66 charter instead. I visited several and that was the one which felt like the best fit. I’ve since worked at 2 different Russell group unis and they were wonderful places, but so different. You have to find your fit.

my parents both teach at manchester business and my dad used to work at imperial, they both love it here but my dad really loved working at imperial because everyone was so enthusiastic and willing to learn. manchester is insane good and the city is just insane.
