I appreciate seeing a fellow baseball dad with the patience to let a 5yo bounce around, interrupt, and come in and out of the video. I always wince when I see dads acting like drill sergeants with little kids. You're keeping it positive and letting a kid be a kid, and that goes such a long way not only toward instilling a love of the game but also strengthening the lifelong father-son relationship!
Awesome. As a 6U softball coach, my goal is for the girls to have fun and want to come back next year. Wish all parents saw it this way, but I lay my foundation early and we see the girls progress as the season goes on. Your videos have been helpful! Thank you!
Great video. You are absolutely right about about working with your kids and their improvement. Early on in community house league, I noticed that the coach’s kid was generally one of the better players. After I started coaching my son made much greater year over year improvements. He’s now 14 and in his third year of travel ball. To anyone who wants to help their player get better, volunteer and get involved.

Nice...single dad of now 19 and 14 yearold since they were 2 and 7...MISS THOSE DAYS! Been to one high-school state championship game and two state tournaments with younger son when 8 and 10! One win from world series both times...and same team from out of Charlotte BOTH times that put us out...actually the kids remember each other from the two years apart! Am ready for younger to get high-school ball next year but his middle school team gave the varsity a run for money in scrimage game!
Big cities usually some suspicious districting to get an all star team to face normal teams. I was two towns over and recruited as a kid and suddenly my address changed to a gaurdians. Little league WS is so packed but thats another story but still.

I was wondering if you know of any websites that I can find batter stats on certain counts and pitch types?
The flat velcro glove ball things you can find at most any dollar store. One of the other videos you had with with the hand eye coordination drills I started with my 8u team 1st practice. I gave them all 1 tennis ball to practice at home with and then when we had our next practice I gave them a 2nd tennis ball. Challenge them to work at home it will pay off.

Do you have any tips & drills for machine pitch baseball?
This will be my 7 year old son first season playing baseball. We been out practicing 2-3 times a week before his season starts so any tips/drills would be helpful.
For machine pitch baseball the player and coach have to have a timing mechanism. The kid can't time with a pitchers arm so the coach can count down 3-2-1- and then load the ball
My son is playing one more tball season in the fall then goes to coach pitch . Similar in age to your boy
I need to figure out how to work with 12 kids with a rope back? I want to give the parents and kids what is best but it is damn hard with tball.
