That's because it's America and most of us don't have a "type" because if we see someone attractive, they're just attractive, and if we like them as a person then we catch feelings. Race isn't as big of a factor as people think, at least it wasn't for me, but men may be different, they may have a type.

I guess it’s anecdotal but I’ve noticed it to here in the US that there is less of a set standard and more diversity so naturally people are more open to dating different people.

Most of the time only men of European descent have actually pursued me (asked me out), but I don't chase (if a guy has no interest I'm not going after them was my philosophy, WAS because I am taken now) , I respond to those who pursue. However, now I am taken and I am loyal, so that's that, but over the course of my life I can tell you there's not one race or body type of a man that is specifically superior through the eyes of an American woman. The majority want a man who's healthy, so they don't have to worry about them dying, and healthy doesn't mean 6pack abs, but the delulu ones (women) want a man who looks like a body builder and makes CEO money.

I'm mixed my dad is white, and my mom is northen Mexican, but she raised me they divorced when I was young I'm bilingual. I agree with this, I dated different races. I ended up with an Australian who has almost 100% British ancestry and we are going on 10 years married. We get along like we were raised together. He also has no prejudices like American men usually have.

My on going theory is that because we have a broad multi cultural background we seek people who share just a portion of that background because our mix of being Latin and American is unique to each household.

My first bf was filipino and very tall and naturally muscular. My bf now is quite short and naturally skinny. Tbh for a little while it bothered me. It kind of sounded like he could easily replace me or might compare me to other Asians. What if by type that meant there where "better" types? I went through all the worst possibilities. Total female moment. I think it's a defense mechanism. Analyze all possibilities to increase decision making 😅
What gets to me is when I say who I've dated and people are shocked as a mixed black woman. Like... for one, I can't date my race, I don't have a strict race. Also, being that, I'm not a type to a general group versus individuals. I'm also so mixed I've been confused for literally EVERYTHING. People think I'm Arab, Mexican, one of my longest friends just revealed to me he thought I was part Korean. I'm almost disgusted by the response I get to being half black.
