I was gonna buy rgx blade, but I decided to buy magepunk 3 melee cuz I thought it would be cheaper than rgx and here we are...
The guess of 3550vp was stupid to begin with. In terms of effects it's obvious the same, if not more than rgx. We also saw with oni 2.0, reaver 2.0 and ion 2.0 that the tier of the weapon skins or previous bundles from the collection do not determine the price at all. If anything those examples made it clear that it would be at least 4350vp.

the right click of Sparkswitch is one of the best in game rn, and i personally like it how they switch from one hand to the other.
I think mage punk is better but it might just be because it’s new
I think it will be 4350 cause reaver knife was 3550 but when reaver 2.0 came out the karambit was 4350 and the same thing happend with ion.

gonna have to go for the Sparkswitch here. I've been so torn on both deciding on which one I want and the RGX is in my shop today but I think im still gonna wait for the sparkswitch. I've had friends that have the RGX knife say that after a few weeks they dont wanna use it anymore and the sparkswitch crosshand animation is too clean to not get.
A video with all butterfly knifes is a must, can't wait to watch that one ❤️

The thing is, the magepunk consist of one Behind the 8 ball right after the basic opening like any other balisong, but it wouldnt be possible since the design shows its a double sided blade, which mean you would cut yourself attempting to do this trick irl. Inaccurate just like the Katana. Visually wise, its very good tho. And also that new animation, the trick is pretty easy to do and definitely doable, so thats one point up for me. Still wouldnt buy it cuz im broke.
Edit : not to mention those Thumb Rollover, after doing the whole combo u would need an artificial HAND💀

I’m not sure why you aren’t figuring there’s only one live edge, there are a lot of production and custom balis with a faux edge on the safe side. A DE Bali invalidates most tricks regardless

So does this knife have a randomizer just like the rgx one? If so I'd definitely but it right now cuz idk when rgx blade will even drop cuz I've heard people saying they have waited for like years end and some items still haven't arrived in their personals
Don't think it has a randomizer, people who said they waited for years on end were capping, i saw it twice and who knows how many times i got it on my store and it showed up. Ofc the store is random for everyone so maybe i got better luck of the draw but they're lying because rgx knife was out for 13 months now. Most likely they just missed it.

RGX gives you the sleek feel with cool colours and sounds magepunk is very cool tho but it will probably cost the normal people an arm and a leg and you will mostly see it on twitch streamers or pros because of it's ridiculous price that could be as high as 6000 vp or more

1775 + 1775 + 3550 = 7100 riot is just milking vp at this point.
I believe that the entire bundle would cost 6000 because;
1775+1775= 3550(vandal and phantom)
3550 + 3550(knife)= 7100
if you add those numbers and take out the secondary stuff you'll basically be left with the weapons which will apply to the final price and it will also give you the line So we're guessing the price will be around 50-60

I think they could make another VCT champions butterfly knife if they used more custome animation for it + special effects (like the lightning for magepunk butterfly knife) - could make for a really cool different knife.

I have owned the rgx for a couple months and i can't use it anymore. Everybody says that the rgb when you inspect it is a good thing but it just makes the color inside the knife random and after the animation the color of the light doesn't fit with the color of the knife and i hate it. I was not around when the champion's butterfly came out so i will definitively cop the magepunk butterfly, so clean !
The sparkswitch will be at the same price as the firefly, it got new right click and that's about it, everything else is the same, this might just be Riot trying to fix the old butterfly animation and make it the standard moving on

1:42 lmao, nah. 4350 or even 5350. They did this on reaver karambit and oni katana, so i wouldn't be surprised if the magepunk butterfly would be something a bit more expensive.
I think there should be a free skin of every knife animation but in a default version and the others are just like colored or special vfx and stuff because there are a lot it minors playing this game and they don't have to money to buy
I have never understood why people like the RGX butterfly that much, like its not bad but I have never found it good either *in my opinion* its a 5/10 at best.

Bro I literally had RGX butterfly in my shop and the mage punk was in the store, but I was and still am missing 127 VP to get any melee
Valorant a skins are shady. I wish they would update them to to keep them at the same level as other knives. I bought the reaver knife when it came out and it didn’t have any different colors but when the karambit came out it did. This does not make any sense, and I think they should’ve added the new colors to the old knife as well bc it cost 35 dollars USD
I do wish that the older magepunks get the variant color change.
How do you think they’ll deal with this bundle? Since there’s only two other guns… Usually in bundles the melee is free when you buy all four guns

IMO, RGX Firefly still sounds way better because I believe that the Sparkswitch could have sounded better than that. I could give Sparkswitch the points for design, but it's close. And like you said, RGX has the better variants.
Sparkswitch wins by its animation, but it's surely pricier than the RGX Firefly because Magepunk 3.0 is vastly different than the other Magepunk bundles. I would wager it would be the same price as the Oni Katana.
NGL the Magepunk is an iconic skin, but not a skin that I rate highly. I wish Glitchpop and/or RGX gets a 3.0 bundle tho, or maybe a Recon 2.0.
