Nearly 100 dollars to buy a digital cosmetic bundle or 5 months of gym membership, looks like time to go gym and work of IRL cosmetics xD prices will just go..plus not worth spending on gaming cosmetics when theare tons of games with a whole tons of content and features that cost below 100 dollars.

Their whole system, for someone coming from other FPS games like Siege, is so confusing. First of all, it's incredibly expensive?! Second of all, why limit the store instead of having only some of the skins be special? Wouldn't players buy more if that was the case?
people are more likely to quickly buy a skin youve been waiting for than maybe rethinking your wants. when you see that timer your decision making is worsened
It's because of fear of missing out(fomo) effect, the chances of getting a skin of your choice is rare and when you get a good skin which is on par with your fav you'll buy it instead of waiting

I can also imagine that Valorant might profit from you checking the shop for a certain skin everyday. On one site: When you launch the game more freaquently it might become a routine for you, potentially making you more addicted. On the other site: They might count you as "Playing the game" if you only launch it to check the shop. This would make Valorant seem like it is alot more active than it actually is. This would raise the "active player" numbers and by proxy make the game more appealing towards investors and such.
I fully agree, I have bought some skins and didnt realize that in total I wasted over £300

@@HarshSharma-tw4rf You are not betting on them, at least not with skins under 100 Dollars, and let's say that you did buy a skin worth 100 bucks, even if it lost 20% of its value (which btw is a lot since CS skins tend to be really stable) you would only lose 20 bucks and not the whole 100, and there's still the possibility of making profit off of it if you know what you are buying.

i still think that the battlepass should give some of the valorant points back as you play it, just like fortnite does...so instead of always having to buy more than you need to buy a gun, at some point you'd have just enough to buy less vp than you need, and still be able to afford the skin you want
the battle pass should give VP back and they should add radianite functions to kingdom credits
Considering it's Valorant and Riot made it and Riot is owned by Tencent they ain't doing this they need that money

It's true that drops in Rocket League are completely random, but they're free and you can get them by playing or buying the Rocket Pass (in which you can get your money back if you hit certain level). I think Riot should just do something like this, randomized free crates in which you may get a skin, a card or a spray. Would at least give you something for free, maybe a reward for playing and doing challenges.
Atleast lower the radianite upgrade but im sure they even cant do that since someone will be mad like those people who already bought tons of those
if they want more playbase to play they should add a system for daily challenge rewards and a spinner wheel each month or each week including all of the skins they had in theyre shop since the week started to spin it and get a random discount for it
it would be cool to make inquiry of every bundle in the game and let people decide wich one wins, and that winner bundle would be for free to claim on christmas, or just for the half a price or something

I am a university student. I work 6 hours per day in a stationery store. In my country, my monthly income is only about $85! So I will never be able to buy any gun's skin.
Since valorant has a story where/lore about the villain characters stealing radianite and how important radianite is in the lore they will never get rid of it but would be nice if they did something for the community
I don’t play Val enough to buy and play through battle passes but I do like having gun skins when I get into the game every now and then, so Radianite is a real pain to have to deal with because if I’m already paying $20+ for a skin I should get the whole experience of it

Btw this isn’t a riot thing only, Epic does this, EA does this, etc. it’s just the way to make money when your game is free to play. What makes valorant worse here and a “scam” is that since 2023 they’ve actually just made animated skins costs more than $70. The melees have went from $30 to $45. And the new bundle costs $100 and it’s nothing crazy? Yeah now it’s starting to look like an obvious money grab.
EA charges like $80 for a pack that you can still get a 80 it's not even a super high chance you get a good card. Epic legit fought Apple to make it cheaper.
Do you need to play a game ? Is something paywalled behind them ? Or.....
@@VexVod my comment is about how a skin will cost more than $20 so you have to buy an additional $5 because the skin will cost like $21 or $23 which is a basic marketing strategy that all the companies I named do.
@@maeryum well yea some do that, but it could help you get a smaller item like in Fortnite where you could get an extra emote or pickaxe. Also if you’re using like a gift card, the amount of the gift card is often $25 and you get what you’ll normally get. It can be effective for the company, but it also can make the players feel like they’re getting more.

Rocket league items isn't rly random to get. It has also a shop who refresh every 2 days
Best way to solve this problem is to either reduce price or had a market place like csgo riot has the means to do so unlike every other company besides epic if we can trade skins and the skins actually have some type of value we couldn’t complain about the price but that’s just wishful thinking thinking

I started playing in E2A1 and always swore not to get any skins.... I got my first skin in Act 8
I've also bought my second and third in Episode 8 and am waiting on buying my 4th as soon as a skin I like gets into my shop..... remember even the strongest give up at some point

they need to update variants to older knifes, it could genuinely be done in 2 seconds and it just gets people to spend more radianite. for example reaver 2.0 already gas variants for knife which are the same as the original reavers variants so how hard could it be to give reaver dagger the same variants
I’ve only bought 3 skins and that was bout 1 and half ago and I’ve been using them ever since. I don’t see the need for more than one skin for each gun as long as you buy ones you really like
Honestly their Radianite system feels like a way to cash-in on the whales and collectors that like to buy every skin. As a casual spender who only buys one skin for every gun, I never really ran into this problem especially since I got all the radianite I need from the free battle pass. Even my friend who spent $2,000+ on this game already has all the radianite he needed from the premium battle pass.
However, I do agree w/ everything you said. In fact, I think everything about the valorant shop is predatory, from expensive recolored skins to FOMO-inducing store.

@@gladiatorgamer9502 Not sure what you mean by "have skin when u first play val", but I just wanted a skin for every type of gun, that's all. I just wasn't willing on cashing out on some B-tier skin. I usually wait for an S-tier skin such as the new Kuronami bundle. With that said, I won't be buying the Kuronami Vandal since I already have the Prime Vandal (which is an S-tier for me).

I have bought origin vandal and reaver sheriff from the most recent night market - both for like 1020 vp and i feel like its a great deal. I have 400+ radiante points anyway so upgrading is not a problem for me xd However I do feel like riot could introduce sth like a one off refund for a skin (now u can refund a skin in 2 weeks and without upgrades, it should be like once per account maybe whatever whenever u wish). In my case, I'd like to refund my ego vandal cause at the beginning of valorant there werent many crazy vandals beside reaver and prime and I dislike prime so I didnt really have much of a choice. I am not saying ego is bad I still like it but origin is my favourite and I do not plan on switching skins from one game to another, only variants. Such a feature could be really cool imo and would be kindly met by the community.

If I buy a skin it's the champion only as once they gone, they are gone. Plus some money goes to the teams. Rest of skins I only consider if it's in my night market

I've been saying that Riot are scammers since I first started playing. The fact you don't own the complete skins you pay crazy money for is a straight scam.
it took me one millisecond to sub after i saw that image of viper like 57 seconds into the vid. but yeah, the only real "money" problem i have with val is the prices of radianite
real, i spent way too much money on this game (1500pln) which is the price of a good 144hz monitor and good pc parts for upgrade. if i could go back in time, i wouldn't spend it on game and just upgrade my pc and maybe buy a vandal and knife skin

If the current business model is profitable for the corporation, the business model is never changed. Riot has the same cycle every season - new skins, battle pass, map, agent. No new game modes, no cummunity maps, no replay system. It is the same as in CSGO,
however CSGO's business model relies on cheaters losing their accounts with millions in skins and then buying new multi-accs and new skins.
I swear the second I started having the money to waste on skins they give me THE WORST skins possible. I haven't seen a single good skin in my shop in months

You are legitimately saying FACTS. I have a lot of bundles because I can afford them. Yet…I been paying attention more to the pricing and they’re WAYYYY OVERPRICED!!! The only bundle I personally believe was worth the price is the R.E.S. Bundle. It’s the most expensive bundle but with all the different variants,sounds, animations, finishers….it was worth it. I still use it more than any bundle I own. The Kuronami bundle is a scam. I can’t look at that bundle and accept $100+ to be the price sadly…..it’s lacking a lot in my opinion to cost more than high end steam games…. Also the night market SUCKS!!! it’s always the worst skins possible.

I just started playing this game and the only skins i want are the black market skins where the guns look like the actual gun but apparently those skin are bad.
you forgot to mention that knifes used to be 3500 then they went up to 4300 then 5300 and nobody really complained. I also really dont like how I might have to wait months for a skin I want because theres only 4 a day in the shop, and theres so many trash skins in there as well

The cant lower the prices because people already paid the existing prices, meaning they would have to refund money to every single player that ever bought a skin in valorant and calculate it accordingly. They cant remove radianite for the same reason and because radianite has like 10 tiers in the battlepass giving radianite, meaning you get less than what you paid for.
My collection probably cost me around £500, I have done 5 battles passes so roughly £550 after 2 years of playing. Works out around £22 a month. Now because I love this game so much I have rarely bought any other game. Its actually saved me money compared to buying a AAA Title every month.

As a 4k hours cs player,I want to say that good cs skins can be very cheap if u are going for budget options, prob like US $5 each. Although the very good-looking skins r still expensive, as well as the knife, u will feel like it’s not really unnecessary to buy those skins as they do not have extra special kill sound & effects, but on valorant, if u are willing to pay more for more skins, those will provide a better gaming experience to u (prob placebo effect tho), not to mention that cs skins can be sold in the market and they can provide a decent return. For valorant skins, I really like the designs of majority of them, they are very unique, but plz Riot changes the store system to a normal one so that we can buy what we what in any time, but not to wait for a skin for long time 😢

One thing I do is that I only buy skins that are above 2175 VP and won't spend on 1775 VP skins because you can get them in night markets (if you're patient).
Not all regions have the ability to purchase at this level either. For example, the prices of Valorant Points are roughly converted from Dollars to Euros. Therefore, to buy a Reaver Karambit, currently costing 4350VP, being 45 bucks or 45 euros. In Brazil, for example, which is where I'm talking about, we have to pay the equivalent of 150 Reais to purchase the skin, and the country's minimum wage barely supports a single person, being 1200 Reais fixed per month. To buy a Reaver Karambit rarity skin, we have to pay 1/6 of our salary, thats crazy!

I literally sceamed in agony seeing the price for the newest valorant skin collection this coming episode 8, cuz how tf riot make me gon' spend 9k (almost 10k) valorant points for a bundle? like, tone it down, lower it down.
I got reaver karambit 3 times in a week somehow, but I won’t give in. Just want a vandal skin like kuronami or reaver thats it.
I have often spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars on individual games, on everything from gatcha waifus to BDO outfits, but I absolutely refuse to buy Valorant skins, the value proposition is so freaking terrible, even for the big bundles it's god damn awful.

Collectors are the biggest problem, they buy every single skin that gets released, even though they don't like them. No wonder epic games and Riot can get away with selling the worst dogshit ever
I spend like 400 € on radianite points and i hate them for making me do this because ever since i startet to play i only skipped the Battlepass when kayo released
After kuronami i skipped every bundle since then and really want the current one so bad but kinda feel like my skin addiction ended (not i prob buy the next champion bundle anyways)
