Finished it in one sitting. Very few games have taken my breath away like this game. Annapurna does it again!
Gonna have to try this one while "drinking coffee and grapefruit"
That's a synonym for "commit war crimes under the oppressive Duterte regime"
But if you're double fisting, you wont have any fists left to play the game!
I wanna trip and play this so bad
I'm near the end. I grinned the entire way through, so far. This game is an absolute gift.
@@mikeochoa8234 Best of luck with your unfortunate personality disorder.
Agreed. It was fantastic!
I can’t wait
So glad this is coming to Game Pass, perfect type of experience for it.
I don't know if this seems "fun" but it definitely seems like a great experience
I finished the game in one sitting. It for sure is more of an experience than game (not much challenge). But worth the time, nice story, and well crafted. Nothing ground breaking but a good game/experience. And this is why I love gaming it is diverse from memorable experiences like this through games with more gameplay to the games where gameplay is the king.
Keep enjoying gaming and have a nice time gaming!
In other words, you can enjoy this game on LSD without fail.
Not like assassin's Creed 😂😂😂 it's so pretty though
Thanks for playing Marty 🙏 What an absolutely gorgeous environment! It's always nice to hear about stories done well but in combination with style like this it's just that much better☺️ Hope you're as well as you can be man 🍻 Cheers and thanks for all you make!
Two good games on 3MR in the same day? Something special must've happened.
Thank you for the review!
Game should have been compatible with a Guitar Hero/ RockBand guitar controller. Awesome game.
Daaaayuumm feels like you're in a dream world
Surprisingly brilliant game. Not my usual cup of tea, but I'm actually enjoying it a lot.
Everyone should play this it's absolutely incredible
Great game but needs a performance patch as there are quite a few frame stutters.
as a guy who likes the music you described and trains I will definitely give this game a shot
2 long awaited indie games, 2 extremely positive reviews in a day - good to hear! Not really into the whole rock / glam thing, so i'm not sure if this will be my jam. Looks very pretty though, and i'm all for simpler, shorter, more finely crafted and focused, and therefore more memorable gaming experiences over samey open world bloat and complicated systems.
I wasn't into rock glam things too, but this game easily captured my heart and might as well be my fav indie game out there. I always questioned the statement - video games are a form of art, but this one definitely fits in. It truly is was a wild experience.
Sold! Thank you. Plus, it has Apollo Creed. What's not to like?
Can’t wait to play this
Nice review thank you
Looks fun
Is this a re-upload? Im sure escapist have covered this one before...
We did a hands on preview
It’s Available for PlayStation now! 😃
I will buy it but think maybe it’s the ps+ game for February 🙄
I'm kinda disappointed with the game personally. It looks and sounds amazing, it's just that for me, it's really lacking in the game aspect and there's just way too much "story". Like, I don't need to be reminded every few second that the hero is trying to find himself.... I'm just bored while playing it. I don't mind visual novels and I don't mind easy games, so I expected to like this game. But I guess the fairly long scenes where the hero is pontificating on his life's direction are just a real mood killer for me.
Actually, the amount of text to read is a complaint I've had with a few games, like Jussant for instance (but at least with Jussant, the reading is completely optional, and the cutscenes are brief). I feel like some development teams should consider hiring a copy editor to really trim the fat off the copy.
I AM OVERCOME WITH SORROW
That’s calvagio had me crying😂
@@BlakMagc I love this game too much lol 2nd playthrough for me
Tippy man.
Played for 10 minutes and was nodding off. Hate walking simulators.
I loved every minute of this game. One thing I really liked is the fact that Carl Weathers played Lightman. I've been a huge fan since Rocky and Predator is in my Top 3 favorites of all time. I also try to support everything he does these days after how he was treated by Lucasfilms and Star Wars; the official Star Wars Twitter wishes each cast member of any of the films/TV shows a Happy Birthday on their B-day...but they always snubbed James Earl Jones and now they snub Weathers... just because both men are conservative. Not very inclusive or diverse if you ask me. Which brings me back to the game- it's equally diverse and inclusive but it's done naturally, no agenda and no lectures. No characters that blame all the wrongs in the universe on straight White dudes, no females that need to crap on men to build themselves up, none of that nonsense.
Like most people have already said the game is more like an adventure than an actual game but there's still skill involved... you just have plenty of do-overs if you mess up so it's a chill experience. The graphics are breathtakingly gorgeous, I remember yelling for my wife (who's a non-gamer) to come check out the beautiful scenery several times during my playthrough and even she was impressed.
So yeah it's definitely worth a play. I admit I avoided the game at launch for fear it was made by radical activist-types that only care about pushing their own tired ideology and lecturing the players instead of caring about content or storyline.
Why the second review? You already did this one.
We did a hands-on preview a couple months ago
A'ight😏
The story was the big draw. If you looking for a gamey game probably not for you if you like a easy chill stroy game to play on a Sunday afternoon it's a "do not miss" game.
In my experience, if the artist wants to get paid they will give the customer what they want.
Xbox gamepass all days
Does the game revolve around the banal music? Can I turn off the music in game and still find the story and gameplay enjoyable? The game looks interesting but the soundtrack is a deal breaker for me.
if you don't like guitar music you will hate this game as you control a guitar you have to play constantly
This sounds like yet another game designer who didn't want to admit that "video game" isn't actually the type of art they were interested in making. With such extremely limited player agency, why the hell wasn't this a film short instead of a game?
A film couldn't have dialogue choices, character clothing customisation, platforming or interactive music sections. They absolutely picked the right medium for the experience they wanted to create. I think what you meant to say is that they didn't make the type of video game that you are interested in playing.
@@katanalevygames No, I typed exactly what I meant to; you're just too stupid to read it.
The interactivity *makes* this experience, and it would be sub-par as a film short. You're just too stupid to understand that interactive experience is as valid of a genre as whatever trash you've reduced the whole medium to.
I hope this was bait or that you haven't hit high school yet.
@@Eunostos Press play to watch the movie?
You sound like you're deciding for the artist as to why they made their art into a game rather than a film based on your own experience of it. Its unlikely the artist was forced at gun point to make this and be sold as an indie game. Because an indie game is literally a game made with their independence and creative freedom.
£20 is a good chunk of money.. This 3 hour game with middling reviews needs to fukking check itself Cus game pass is the ONLY way people should and will play this.. Fukking indie games man Jesus
