That's definitely not my average, but, that's the current destructive CZcams algorithm at work... screwing thousands of channels with one change overnight that no longer notifies any of our subscribers of new videos. We literally cannot access or communicate with more than 1% of our subscribers at a time. It's been a 7 month long issue that thousands of channels, including mine, have posted many videos about. CZcams has "acknowledged" the problem... but has yet to fix it.

When I was 17 I suffered a traumatic brain injury when I was ejected from an SUV, so for me my days are constantly consumed with me putting something down and completely forgetting where I put it and spending the next few hours tearing everything apart, cursing the world and swearing up and down that somehow someone stole it, meanwhile it's still in my pants that I completely forgot I changed out of or something. So to see you struggle to find a lost object and do it smiling even after you've seemingly checked everywhere and still haven't found it gives me a weird hope that someday I'll be able to deal with what life gives me smiling instead of getting infuriated over things I have no control to change.

Tommy, I’ve only just discovered you recently, and I just can’t get enough of your videos! I also have a “sensory disability”. While serving in the military (Canadian), I took a bad fall one day a and smashed my head. End result, I lost my sense of smell! When the sense of smell goes, so does most of your sense of taste, you only have 4 from your taste buds! My disability is no where near as bad as being blind! Keep up the awesome video’s!

I stayed at a resort hotel in May for a work conference, and they had shampoo and conditioner bottles that had Braille on the lids. I thought that was really awesome! But I guess that would have been cheating on your part in this contest, Tommy!

I have actualy worn tights over my eyes ( it's all I had) so I could not see anything, to imitate being blind in favor of Tommy Edison and it sucked. I tried to draw and write as he did in previous vids I also tried to walk around without banging into to things it was hard without using my sense of feel and sound. "Watching" tv was frustrating as I could not see the screen and could only listen to it. Does anyone else do this?

Hi Tommy! As someone who's in the risk of going blind when I'm older, you've been such an inspiration, and I thought I just want to share my newly found favorite movie to you. This is out of topic, but Tommy, you should REALLY watch Dunkirk! The movie's strong point, I think, is the sound effects and music, so I think this movie would be awesome for you. Although the drawback is that there are very few dialogues in the movie, but I thought someone (maybe Ben) watching it with you to explain things would be cool! Really, you should go to the cinemas to watch it. I really want you to, I actually hoped I was living near you so that I could watch it with you and walk it through for you.

I was born with an eye disease called Retinopathy Of Prematurity and at age two I had a shunt put in my head because of a cyst that grew on my brain stem. I was also born with a rare eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa.
I have Cerebral Palsy and Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have had hydrocephalus. I actually have a cataract in my left eye and when I was born the doctors failed to diagnose T1D.

It really sucks because when I was younger most of the students laughed at me. I was not treated right at all. When I was in middle school I was directly infront of a fight. Two seventh grade boys were fighting because of my race. Another student made a comment after she looked at my fingers, she said " don't you know your step dad is smashing your fingers with a hammer."

There were two teachers that made me copy the fucking page and a teacher's aide who wouldn't keep her nose in her own business. Come on disabilities exist and everyone acts like they don't. In plus I was bullied at a school with a no bully policy. Look when there is 100 students that go to an elementary school, it is so fucking wrong for one student to be singled out.

Tommy I liked this video. I'm actually really glad that one I always bring my own shampoos and stuff so I know which is which bit as for the key card I always place it back in the envelope and in the same spot every time on the dresser where the tv is. It was good to see you do these tasks it does help a lot to know I'm not alone out there feeling like an idiot. 😁💕

I wonder did Tommy at least get some chance to orient the basic layout of the room first. I feel like that would be more fair as a sighted person has some basic knowledge of the room layout if they have seen it even briefly. As a sighted person I feel like just walking through the door even if you surprised me after only a few seconds covering my eyes I probably couldn't give you a complete inventory of every object in the room but I could probably describe the basic layout of the space things like the shape and vaguely where the sitting area was and that there was a TV or something near the other wall that sort of thing. While it would still be easy to get disorientated it certainly would be an advantage to have some vague idea how the space is laid out unless Tommy had an opportunity to get that same chance to familiarise themselves with the layout. And that is assuming that I didn't know what was going to happen so didn't have any reason to pay extra attention to the massive amount of information that is available to us at a glance as a sighted person, that said things like this are interesting as it makes you think about that sort of thing and we do often take for granted the ability to almost instantly just know the layout of a room just with a casual glance.

Good video tho in all the blind vs blindfold tommy has advantage as he is more used to doing things without sight. I actually made a sandwich with my eyes closed and it was actually easier than I expected. The strangeness is not doing things the way you are used to. Sight is convenient to make things easier it is possible to do most things without sight which blind people prove every day. I think there is only driving or being a pilot that wouldn’t be possible without sight or at least wouldn’t be safe.
