Nice. I was a Greco guy until 29. In high school I never could get the weight back transfer of a traditional fireman's. Credit to him for going with the momentum, and making it his own.

Fireman’s was my go to move. My fireman’s is similar as I am a left leg lead but right side collar tie. Because I had the tricep tie with the left hand I used an outside step for the fireman’s carry. I teach my kids the fireman’s different ways and let them choose which one they feel the most comfortable. Thanks for sharing the video.

We have a few guys on our high school team that have a lot of success with the FIREMAN. sometimes the opponent will see it coming the last second and our guys will either have the leg or catch the leg and run in that circle motion to the head. They usually keep the navy, swim for the head, and near fall or pin their guy. Recently had a guy win a districts finals match that way.

Nice. Can't wait to have a team and drill the fireman's everyday. Definitely a top 3 wrestling takedown

Must clear your opponents inside tie. The most dominant guys use it

This is great unless your thinking for BJJ. Just watch out for the guillotine here.

Yeah, and you gotta be good enough to catch me first - If you hit it right and tight- MOST people can't stop a grappler. I beat the piss out BJJ guys when I was right outta college -- Black belts, Brown, Purple--- I arm barred all of them. Every one of them. BJJ guys don't-- well, they USED TO -- Not train as hard, fast or intensely as collegiate grapplers. You heard Bo Nickal's story about tapping out the BJJ Master when he was a sophomore in College? And he tapped him out after tapping out their entire BJJ team.

@@DeleteLawz1984 definitely! Wrestling is way harder and more intense. I was merely stating that if I were to use this for BJJ, you would just need to keep your head up and positioned to counter the guillotine. I love how no gi BJJ is basically turning into submission wrestling.

Also make sure not to get stuck and then have your opponent lock up a back crucifix into a kimura lock like I did 😂

Is this a firemans? Looks more like a Hi Crotch that he doesn't clear the arm. Sometimes is looks like a dump but when he runs outside that is something unique. That is something you don't see much.

Would this be a good alternative for shorter guys to hit the fireman’s? I try to hit it on taller guys but they always kind of drape over me and starting trying to run cradles
