    This video shows you how to install a new variable valve timing solenoid in your 2011-2019 Ford Explorer (3.5L V6). If the variable valve timing solenoid in your vehicle is stuck or clogged, causing your engine to not run properly, you may notice reduced fuel efficiency, sputtering, rough running or stalling in your engine. Solenoids usually need to be replaced once they begin to fail.
    This repair was done on a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited 3.5L Sport Utility 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
