- This performance captures one special night on November 21, 2020 when Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams and David Paich appeared with the new line-up of Toto for a global event originating from Los Angeles, CA. Joining Lukather, Williams and Paich for this next chapter in their indelible history are new band members bassist John Pierce (Huey Lewis and The News), drummer Robert “Sput” Searight (Ghost-Note / Snarky Puppy), and keyboardist / background vocalist Steve Maggiora (Robert Jon & The Wreck). Keyboardist Dominique “Xavier” Taplin (Prince, Ghost-Note) and multi-instrumentalist / vocalist Warren Ham (Ringo Starr) segued over continuing their tenure in the ensemble. This marks the fifteenth incarnation of the Toto line-up in consideration of band members or sidemen who joined or exited.
"With A Little Help From My Friends" was produced by Joseph Williams, who also edited the accompanying long-form video. The band's longtime front-of-house engineer Ken Freeman mixed and captured the sound that evening.

Lukather tells a good story about the "Beat It" guitar work with Eddie V.H. in an interview by "Rick Beato" on You Tube. Great interview, Luke speaks so well of the music and the people along the way. He has so many stories, and is hilarious. Rick Beato (i.m.o.) has a great channel for all guitar players and anyone who's been in the studio. While I'm here, I also just got to say: Watch "The Wrecking Crew" Everyone needs to stream it. Whoever snagged Sput to play drums for Toto deserves a pay raise. Sput is easily one of the best drummers right now.

I grew up with their music. Toto gave me sense of musical. They inspired me to play music, even till today. And in 2019 I finally got the chance to watch them perform live on Java Jazz Music Festival. I sold my guitars just to be there. That was an experience of a life time, to watch your HERO up close. G O A T..!!!
Toto it’s the only band in the world that despite the lineup changes has never lost its mojo . The new band it’s a perfect example of that magical Toto spirit .Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping the band alive & kicking 🙏🏻

He was the true drive behind the overall sound.
And I don‘t know what it is, Lukather turned kinda arrogant over the years and Williams‘ vocals are an imposition

I watched this Toto Band play in Austin with Journey on 2/22/23. These guys played amazing. Their musicianship is above what anyone considers a good band. These guys are soooo goooooddd! I was blown away!
I saw them in Grand Prairie on 2/21/23. They were so incredible. I can't wait to see them again.

I have seen TOTO on their tour of their IV album with Jeff and Bobby ( who had a broken leg) and over the years with all line-ups they had. THIS line-up was the best! Incredible musicianship and fun on stage!
Toto walks with me through my complete life. I‘m playing as a DJ since 40 years now, the last 30 years I played techno only. But Toto, the music of theese musicians was with me all the time. Toto helped me learning (more: „understanding“…) english. I‘m really thankfull for the music they brought to me.
I've been a Toto fan since the 70s and familiar with every lineup change since.Ive never been the type to cry over band member changes. I recently bought a 3rd row center ticket for New Hampshire on 3/6/22 when they open for Journey and words can't describe my excitement. At 57 yrs old I feel like a teen again. After watching this the anticipation is even worse for Me. This lineup will go down in history as one of the best.

Greatest band on earth
My, my, my... This band (from original line up to now) has always been my favorite for a reason... unbelievable.
This fifteenth incarnation of Toto's lineup sounds to me as a well oiled musicmachine. The new members next to the Totoguys sound as if they've played the songs for years. I wish this Toto a lots of beautiful music and I hope you to see and also hear in the Netherlands soon. Thanks for this wonderful "With a little help from my Friends".

This band is the reason why I love music so much and became a musician. They opened my eyes and ears to music and musicianship like no other band. Man I love these guys and this band!!!! Toto forever!!!!

I can't believe it. This is amazing that after all these years Toto is still making great music with a great bunch of musicians. What astounds me is the vocals that Williams has; he is such a powerhouse. This new manifestation of what is, was, and will be forever, one of the greatest bands in history, is the culmination of over 40 years of the greatest songs ever written by some of the greatest musicians to ever walk this earth, but also, most importantly, and which should never be forgotten, the most humble and beautiful people. Congratulations to all members of Toto, past and present. I'm grateful you're still around. Thanks for the music.

5 Minutes in I booked my ticket for the nearest concert. Being especially interested in drums Robert Searight from Snarky Puppy was the cherry in top for me. Looking forward to July next year.

I learned I could not only dance, but put on a freestyle show for clubs, bars, weddings at a very young age; NO LESSONS!
I even danced to "Africa" at work.(I'm a fricken Custodian at a Casino.,) I needed to prove at 40+ that I or "We" all have gifts/talents to offer that others could not fathom. Not unlike all members at a young age from TOTO. "Africa" blew me away at 6. I was an old soul. Also, thanks for enriching all of our lives with music-food for the Soul! ❤😂🎉

The fact that Toto is not in the R&R HOF calls the credibility of Rolling Stone and the HoF itself into question. Just a ridiculous omission, and I hope it won’t be a situation like so many others where they wait until most of the members have passed away and THEN they put them in. If they’re not in, then nobody deserves to be.
To me, it's the best live performance of Toto. So tight, incredible musicianship, groovy, the vocals are from another world, and the setlist is badass. You are the Flower is for sure my favourite. And I love Warren Ham, his job is incredible ! Hissax, flute, percussions parts are so flavourful ! It really adds something natural on the songs.

I didn't expect to say this, but the new line-up actually sounds amazing. (Especially Sput and Xavier!)
And everybody sings too, so the backing vocals are nice and thick. (Always a good thing!)
Man how pro is the singing in this video. These guys have never not had absolutely top drawer musicians and Paich is right, those arrangements are super detailed. It must be amazing playing with those guys.
Saw Toto last year on tour with Journey and I gotta say they KICKED ASS..WOW

Saw them "open" for Journey 3/17/23. Toto blew them out of the water. From the musicianship ( especially the drummer) to the sound engineering. on another level.
Greatest band in the world😍. For now and some time to come. Period. Have been enjoying them for the last 25 years. For me it all started when we decided to play Hold the Line and Africa in the band I played in when I was a kid. I’m 32 now. Toto’s ability to continuously attract new generations of people who love genuine musicality is unbeatable.
I‘m glad the band keeps on, there is not much more to say at the moment. And I‘m one of the many lucky Austrians to see this band a few times in incredible concerts. Thank you.
This band sounds killer, and Sput on drums, does good for Toto. Most others are compared with JP all the time, but this guy adds a fresh flavour, and groovin like hell

They haven’t sounded like that in YEARS !
I lost my way regarding Toto many years ago. Just stopped listening for some reason. Always liked the guitar of Lukather, the vocals and harmonies of the band etc, and when I happened across the video of Toto live in Poland, I've been hooked ever since. Absolute monster of a band and, dare I say, quite underrated. Some might say uncool, but those people don't understand musicianship.

I love Toto. My favorite band since highschool days.. i love their songs with girl names as titles.. Rosanna, Anna, Lea, Angela, Pamela & Melanie. I love all their songs..My favorites include , I Won’t Hold You Back , I’ll Be Over You, I Will Remember, Afraid of Love, Only You, The other End of Time, Two Hearts, The Turning Point, Lea, Anna, Rosanna and Africa among others.. i just love Toto.. #LukatherBabe here.
