Ya the 5hp is a great engine and I usually see them with a 22 inch auger, but this is 5.5 Hp with a 24 inch auger, should rip through the snow! Thanks for watching!
Should be able to make a couple bucks on this If nothing else part it out For 3 days all the weather idiots could talk about was that we were getting 3 to 5 inches by morning today 1/25 as of 7pm I'm still waiting on the first snow flake to fly, all we got was RAIN 🌧. The system is headed your way. Take Care Brother
Honestly I was just going to do the Vise trick and bend the tops at 90 degrees but I DO Have a Harbor Freight cheap MIG welder and some scrap steel so i just might try my luck at MIG welding some new pads on the existing shoes Thanks for watching!
@@KensSmallEngineRepair I've done the same many times by using the flat section of old lawnmower blades. The metal from them are extremely hard making for awesome ware resistant skid shoes.
i have the yard machines version of this i got from a family member, any photos of the cover over the carb and the part number for it? mines missing. or a link to a parts diagram?
I have this exact model. My wife's boss gave it to us as his dad passed away and it won't be used. I can get it to start but after about 2 seconds it shuts off. Grabbing a new spark plug, changing the oil and putting in fresh gas. Not sure what to attempt afterwards if that doesn't work? Thanks!
Off topic question. DR Power power wagon w/Tecumseh 6hp Vector XL/C engine. Has the "hunting" thing going on and takes multiple startings to get it to stay running. Put on a float bowl kit from Jacks small engines to get it to run, had been sitting for years with old gas, and it seems to run OK, mostly, but I can't find ANY adj. screws. Know anything about these particular carbs? Thanks, Bill
Off Topic: I have the identical snow blower and it kicks out of 1st and 2nd gear into 3rd. All the rest of the gears work ok. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks
@@jerrycrispino7961 mine was the same. I rotated it and hammered the tabs so that they made intimate contact with the bars. Glad it was simple! Thanks for watching!
Great find and two for one. Got some work ahead. Will watch the following.
Ya and only 5-6 miles from home!!
Runs really well Ken. You should make a tidy profit to. I will check out part 2 when its up.
Thanks Neil, hope all is well!
Finally were getting snow . Big flood of costumers is coming . Looking forward to that video .
We got an inch or so yesterday that turned to rain and washed away!
Nice score! Great little blowers those are 👍🏻

Hopefully the fan shaft isn’t rusted solid onto the bearing! Thanks for watching!
Great find Ken 👏
We will see! Thanks for watching!
A nice pickup of that snowblower and for a good price to flip there
With no real snow this season it’s tough selling this year!
Nice snag Ken, doesn't sound too terribly difficult. 👍
Hank thinks getting the auger pulley and gearbox out may be a PITA! We will see!
Yeah I didn't think about that, I have limited knowledge on snow blower repair.... as in none!!
Nice find!
Couldn’t resist! Thanks for watching!
99 dollars doesn’t seem a lot of money for what you got. Ready and waiting for part deux
The gear is in, just need to find time!
Nice score Kenny.
I thought so, thanks Pete!
Nice one Ken
Let’s see if I make money lol!

We had a cool snow squall for an hour, everything white, now just warm and wet! Take care, hope all is well Brother!
Nice buy for a hundred Ken just wondering what did i see inside the 2nd stage impeller area, looks like a shiny angle bracket stuck in there?
Can’t see any shiny angle?

Please show the process of how you bend the skid shoes.
Will do, thanks for watching!
Looks like it also needs skid shoes, are you gonna do your skid shoe trick or order new ones?

When it starts to stall crack, the gas cap to see if it’ll bring it back it could be a bad gas cap vent. Let me know how you make out.
@@KensSmallEngineRepair I will try that and let you know. Thanks for the idea
More money 💰 more problems 😎

Has the shift detent plate rotated so that it doesn’t positively hold the lever in 1st and second?
@@KensSmallEngineRepair I will have to research that. I am not familiar with the shift detent plate.
Is that item 19 part 790-00187 Speed Selector Panel?
