      I think you're correct. Imagine the same mechanism but both the arms are 1000km in length, magnets are extremely strong and centre of mass is located at the hinge. There's no reason for this to not work, so long as the centre of mass stays where it is.

      your body relies on the normal force provided by standing on level ground to push itself up or against something. without that normal force, you can’t lift anything in the normal sense of the word.

    Here's a summarized version for people who don't wanna see the whole video-
    Magnet attracts car, car attracts magnet, but magnet attached to car, therefore force on and by magnet are on the same body, newtons 3rd law says both these forces are same in magnitude and so since they are opposite and cancel each other out.....and that's about it

    Basically the left magnet is pulling the whole weight of the truck plus the right magnet and the right magnet is pulling the whole weight of the truck plus the left magnet cancelling each other out and just sticking together with equal force, it just sticks together nothing speed wise happens, the truck doesn’t move forward or backwards!

    It does not work because the charge reduces during through each storage and re-transmission of that same force .
    Trains collect a consistent source of energy that is higher than the entropic inefficiencies that cause the power loss in the first place .
    It is why rail-guns have a limit on re-use .

      And matter too, but with E=mc² you can just say energy since energy is more of base than matter. Compare the smallest amounts of matter and energy you know: infrared top border is around 1 eV, while mass of an electron is around 0,5 MeV.
      That's actually a useful law.
