Sabaton, prog-technocore version of it indeed.

Lol i was thinking that !!!! Totally sabaton!!!!

It sounds like its played at 1.5x speed

Looks like everyone is covering Sabaton nowadays. Does that mean Sabaton has made something remarkable and successful for music industry so far? My sincere guess will be YES.
We have a lot of remarkable music in sweden Sabaton is the biggest at the moment but they do cover on smaller swedish bands like Raubtier.

They are also going on tour together, not sure if that's related though.
They're number one in Germany and Sweden.
They are touring together with Amaranthe and Apocylyptica, they also released a cover version. They surely will perform the songs together on stage.
FUCK I hope the normies don't ruin it
Imagine coming back as a ghost after 100 years,to find out they make epic ballads about you.
Sarge York would be proud.
I would hope but the man seemed very humble
I think he would say that he is not worthy of such memoriam (considering his: "I heard you have captured a whole German army?; No sir, only 132").
I think he would be proud but a little conflicted. Once his story was discovered and he was glorified as a hero, he turned down sponsorship deals and several opportunities to profit from his fame, outside of speaking engagements.
He didn’t believe in violence, but his actions saved the lives of his men, so he was always conflicted about that.
Personally, I’m happy that his story is living on in this song. It’s definitely worth preserving!
@@bluesdealer I think you are right. In some sense it is right to honor him, but in another it would be better to honor his wish by refusing to speak of what he did, or rather was compelled to do.
I don't think many men wish to be remembered as killers of other men. And if they do, they shouldn't be remembered at all.
@@heikkisuora2500 That's the thing, he didn't kill them. He captured 200+ germans. One quote is "York, I heard you damn near captured the entire German army!" To which he replied "No, sir, just 200 of em".
Now Audi Murphy (the song To Hell And Back) alone killed about 100 nazis. And for that, we salute you.

"I'm in a metal band"
"Yeah? What do you do?"
"I sit at a desk and edit"
"Wow that's so cool it's the most important part of recording music and extremely underappreciated!"
Well, my guess is that music would be the most important part of music
@@crackbenji The band plays music.
He masters it.
As an audio engineer i can confirm lol. I don't really mind it's underappreciated. Love my job and that's the most important
If someone would say that to me I'd reply immedially without thinking "So you're the one who actually does all the work?"
As a musician, to me the audio engineer is the most important part of music today tbh. Without an audio engineer no music would be recorded and music could only be played live in huge theaters for 5-6 hundred people at a time, and metal wouldn't even be a genre played there: those fast hits on the drums couldn't be heard by anyone but the band itself and the first 2 rows of the theater
I like Elize way more in this video than in the other videos. Instead of trying to be "sexy" she is just the way she is. I like this way more. Sometimes less is more!
Same!
I prefer when she is calmer, this has way too much ADHD for me. But i appreciate that she's actually clothed here and doesn't try to be sexually provocative.
I'd honestly argue this is hotter lmao, I love the energy
I'm not at all convinced that she "tries to be sexy" in any of their videos. Maybe don't read so much culture in it? Would you even consider such a thing if she was a man?
I'm not trying to be argumentative. Just trying to make other people think through some things I have thought in the last few years, and thinking those thoughts has served me well.
Seeing Elize let of her leash brings back so many fun memories. That goofball sure did get us all in trouble sometimes but damn did we have fun back in school.
Metal covers pop song : makes it epic.

Sabaton wrote the song FOR Amaranthe as part of the tour they were both on.

My first unit was the 82nd airborne, and every paratrooper in division knows the story of Alvin York. Every paratrooper in division knows about every one of our heroes in division. The army doesn't teach you history of the Army in bootcamp like the Marines do with their branch. Every Marine I've ever worked with who has worked with division always says the 82nd is the USMC of the army. We learn our history, every bit of it, down to your company in the battalion of the brigade you're in, high and tights are required, we know we're better than everyone else, and we don't say we're in the army, we say we're with division. My dad was a Marine and worked with division multiple times, when I told him I got orders to division after jump school, he said while it sucked that I didn't follow his footsteps into the Marines, he was happy I was in the Marines of the army
I think this is the first Amaranthe video I've seen where Elize has only 1 outfit.

Yeah, obviously! Just ask Gloryhammer, Blind Guardian and Sabaton! And a bunch of others!
This is so true.
When I look back to that time it seems like yesterday
where we suited up in formation wearing the double "A".
We did our job, did it well, as we stood side by side
with love for our country and with a sense of pride.
We were faithful, we were ready to see our orders through
We fought for us, fought for others, fought for freedom too.
We always knew the dangers that were ever present there
always stepping forward is a quality that's rare.
We knew that there could come a time, to make a sacrifice
shield our brothers and our sisters and pay the final price.
With duty pride and honor we will see through to the end
this country and our freedom always ready to defend.

Amaranthe never disappoints, good start to the year. Happy 2020 everyone :-)
i have to disagree, I feel like they sounded great on their first two albums but they've added to much Pop-elements to not be annoying in most of their later work.. songs like Drop Dead Cynical some others stand out of course, but generally speaking i feel like they've lost what made them pretty cool when i first started listening
I also disagree. Amaranthe started out as fresh sounding, metal/pop hybrid, with great harsh vox. They have turned into modern day, cookie cutter pop/rock, with rap vox. Everything they have done in the last 5 years sounds EXACTLY the same. I know they are popular now, and I am happy for them! Elize is a Freaking GODDESS💓. They wont come to my country either :(
Seen Sabaton back in October with Hammerfall, they really put on a good show together enough so I got tickets for Hammerfall’s tour this year
@@tramacentermaster me too!!! Dallas.
James Nagel nice, I seen them in portland
Come to Europe!!
I love all of these other bands covering Sabaton, I hope this trend continues
Sabaton will be proud!
I love Sabaton, but your rendition of this song is just AMAZING. Great job guys!
Wow that was a good job! Really loved this version!! Elize is so adorable *-* you can see they had so much fun recording this video haha
Now this is the closest that any band has ever gotten to creating a cover that would convey the power of Sabaton (that I find quite unique) in their own sense. I also love the enthusiasm and enjoyment that you all show in the clip. Makes it all even better.
As covers go: 9/10
Love it.
Their cover of army of the night was what got me to listen to them
I found Sabaton by Minivas cover of Bismarck. Still prefer it until today.
Leo Moracchioli often does a way better job at Metal Covers.
Few soyboys convey a power? Power of little pink pony?
@@ollibo Power of little pink pony? That'd be quite awsome
What can I say....amazing! No words, that's why Amaranthe are one of my favorites.
The parts where it's just the instruments sound so sick I want an instrumental of this!
Aaah, the DT770 - takes me back, friends. Waay before Beats and numerous other atrocities - thanks for the memories.
Pretty sure they still make them
@@mandeadd That they do, my friend - especially noteworthy in the era of corporate takeovers.
Listening this on a DT770 Pro 250 Ohm :)
I like how you have one guy for the growls, one for the male voice and one girl for the female voice, and everyone is just nailing their part
still prefer the old clean vocals, they havent been the same since then to me honestly :(
Awesome, I got goosebumps listening to this. Love their sound.
This video shows so much power and fun making music,....I love it! ❤️
If there was an 80's cartoon about the US Airbornes, this would be its theme.
It's not about the airborne division it's about Sgt. York and what he did during ww1 as part of 82nd infantry division they don't became airborne until the second world War
@@niclas8777 I was speaking in regard for the synthesizer tunes and the general tone of the verses sung, not the content.
