- I'd have to say Greece is one of my all time favorite places to visit. From its beautiful beaches, massive mountains, and rich history, Greece has it all. I've been to the Greece several times and I want to show you my favorite places! Whether its renting a boat on Zakyntho's coast, or summiting Mount Olympus, the country has so much to offer! Are you sure about the sharks?! The Mediterranean is known to have Great Whites!
In Greece they are fortunately quite rare. Even those that you could possibly come across are usually the less dangerous species. But this comment is wrong there’s plenty of stuff that could bite-sting you in any sea you go. Best to make sure you have first aid kits ready and research about the island before you blindly swim in its waters.
When talking about Greece you can't have only top 10 .Greece is heaven on earth !

@DoGoD GoDoG no its true. As true as in other eu countries. Some cases never get counted cause they have no symptoms or never go to a hospital to test it but that is true all over the world. We just got quarantined very early compared to almost all other countries. That's why the quarantine is being lifted in phases as a test. Only 19 new cases tested positive yesterday

My favorite place in Greece is Chalkidiki, especially the second leg. But definitely visit also mount Athos, the third leg. It’s a one time life experience. Huge monasteries, stuck in the Byzantine era. It’s like going back in time.

Ryan Shirley Yes, I live in Thessaloniki. You can rent a car and explore the whole peninsula of Chalkidiki. It’s easy and fun. To visit Mount Athos you need a permit though, since there is a restriction to the daily number of visitors. So, you’ll have to schedule quite some time before, if you’re interested. Of course you sleep inside those monasteries and eat with the monks. But taking video is not allowed in mount Athos.

Crete on the other hand 300 times..but Ioannina is a beautiful place as well by a lake, it has the oldest Byzantine fortress in Greece, amazing mountains and villages in a short distance from the city.. you need a life time to explore my country although it is a small one it has so many places to visit!

Favorite place in Greece so far has been Crete. Rent a car and just drive around for a week. I think it's had the best combo of cities, beaches and hiking of anyplace I've been. So much to see there.

Crete, especially Chania, Agios Nikolaos, and even Heraklion, are really underrated
Gotta love Santorini, we got engaged there and couldn’t believe how beautiful it is, then we went back 5 years later and where we was staying in Kamari beach you can go round the spearhead to Perissa , which was a one dirt road. Not anymore though but a village that was massive! If you ever go to Perissa, try a restaurant called “God’s Garden “ the food was epic, the wine flowed freely and the atmosphere was wonderful,
I’d recommend to try Crete and there are some nice walks over there, you’re a lucky man to try those places, soon as the Covid-19 has subsided then we planned to go back to Greece again, a truly genuine people who are generous. Wonderful... thank you for sharing your videos, looks brilliant thanks...

My now wife we had a short relationship and I was due to ship out to the USA to travel there 3 weeks OTA and come back but wanted to eventually migrate there, well two days before I tore up my tickets and took my Suzi to santorini and got engaged, I’ve never looked back since. It’s a beautiful place to go to, the volcano is still active but you won’t see any hot lava, just what seems to me like some one behind a big rock smoking a cigar!.... LoL

Greece gets visitors 3 times its population every year. It is definitely not underrated. There are overrated island tourist traps in Greece. People flock in 2-3 places while the country has thousands of easily accessible beautiful places undiscovered by mass tourism.

Great video. I've been to zakynthos numerous times as a holiday maker before going to live there from 2007 - 2012 . It's a great place and I've many friends there. Also been to santorini twice, meteora, and lots more places I could mention. I recommend doing an island hopping holiday and live out of your suitcase or backpack and stop off at as many islands as you can . Stay at least 2 days on each . I did 3 weeks taking in santorini, paros, naxos, mykonos, tolon, but also visited on day trips to hydra, poros, and spetses. Then another time I did Rhodes, kos , amorgos, naxos and Athens. You have lots more exploring to do and theres so many more beautiful places to visit. η Ελλάδα είναι η καλύτερη. 👍👍

roothik Yes, Vikos Gorge is INCREDIBLE!' Its one of, if not the Deepest Gorges on the Planet (ratio-wise). Fantastic Location & Nature at its finest

Ryan loves Greece so much yet he hasn't seen even 1% of the country really. Yes it's great that he as a traveler actually thought to go to places like mount Olympus. But again. You should go in spring time and visit much more of Greece's 80% mountains and incredible landscapes. Greece is exceptionally diverse. Not only just 80% mountains, it has 20% of all of Europe's Ultra peak mountains. Which means mountains that rise atleast 1500 meters above it's lowest surrounding point. Switzerland has 8, Austria has 12, and Greece has 19. So Greece truly is a powerhouse when it comes to mountains and landscapes. And yes. wonderful islands. But there are endless more. And yes, wonderful Meteora, but try visit the pindus mountains, Epirus region, Central Greece, Thessaly, Macedonia, Athos holy mountain, Peloponnese all around with it's mountain landscapes like Taygetus. Or Mount Giona and Vardiousia or Karpenisi region and so on and so on. Just Crete alone is incredibly diverse and that is just 1 island.

mykonos and elafonisos island are also amazing places to visit in greece! and so it crete. it’s a huge island so it would take more than a couple days to visit around a bunch of places, but i’m my opinion it’s totally worth it!

I've been to Athens, Milos, Santorini, Naxos and Crete last year. My favorite, without a doubt, was Milos. I definitely recommend going there (also, Sarakiniko was the most beautiful beach I've been to, glad you put it on here).
How did you get to Milos?
if you ever come in orthodox easter (doesn't matter if you're religious or not) you have to go to Corfu! And also, if you're planning on coming again, you should definitely visit the islands Rhodes, Paros (partying in Paros hits different) and Crete!

I've been to Meteora! Absolutely stunning monasteries, it's also got quite a lot of stairs and a very long climb! Absolutely stunning country and amazing people. I felt very welcome to be there and I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to visit. Nowadays that's pretty difficult :/

@@RyanShirley I'm from the USA! I was living in Volos for 6 months for work-related reasons and around December of last year we all took a trip to see the monasteries. If you ever visit Volos get yourself a peinirli, best fast food I've ever had!
Hi Ryan, I've been to Greece twice and my favorite island is so far Santorini, but other islands are also charmfull like Zakynthos, Milos, Mykonos and Kos. Have fun!
Santorini is hard to beat! I really want to hit up Kos and Milos now!
Oh mate, Milos is wonderful. The beaches of Sarakniko and Kletko are really awesome and once in kos, try to get in Turkey to visit Pamukkalle, a friend tip. Have fun.

I went there in April 2019, solo travel, loved it, best trip ever, was top on my bucket list, the above view of navagio beach is something ppl need to see before they die lol, plan to do other trips to Greece in the future.

You will love Rhodes and Crete...great combo of beautiful beaches, history and tradition. Another place is Mount Athos but you need to request an authorization to visit (obviously only if you are interested and willing to experience something spiritual in nature...in this case its obviously orthodox christianity) and breathtaking scenery... GREAT VIDEO btw!

Ioanninna has my favorite all time museum . The one that's dedicated to ali pasha. It's by far my favorite place. I'm lucky to have in-laws that live near kranis and preveza so you know I'm hitting up ioanninna every year.

Such a great collection! I would like to recommend some amazing future destinations for your list:
1. Paxoi islands,: you'll be mesmerized by the clarity and transaprency of the waters;
2. Koufonisia: same as above
3. Alonissos: A beautiful and peaceful island, full of vegetation and spectacular food;
4. Ikaria: One of the famous 'blue zones' places with the biggest amount of centenarians in the planet. Go during the 15th of August and make sure to go to Seychelles beach there.
5. Metsovo is ideal for the winter, there is a ski resort and the village is so cosy and beautiful
6. Chalkidiki: A huge claw-shape looking peninsula which has been consistently voted as the region with the biggest amount of blue flag beaches in Greece (voted by the Blue Flag programme).
7. Ithaka: home of the mythical Ulisses, a wonderful island engulfed by the ionian sea.
8. Paros: A cosmopolitan island with whitewashed houses. The typical cycladian archtecture.
9. Crete: Crete is just a unique destination on its own. I could write for days about the island, its history, its people, its beaches and nature and its food quality. The island is unreal.
10. Hydra: A tiny island town where cars are not allowed and donkey rides is the norm. Very calm and nice for a weekend escape.
I could mention countless other places but that would be too tiring. Being a Greek, I am amazed with the different experience one can have in each destination. I have not seen this anywhere else in Europe. Each island or continental location constitutes a unique experience, with different history, food, nature, customs.
So just keep coming back and enjoy this blessed land! :)

When I went to Zakynthos at the cliffs, there was ALOT of tourists sitting extremely close to the edge taking selfies and being careless and it terrified the hell out of me xD
It is pretty crazy how everyone is so close to the cliffs 😅

I went to Switzerland this summer actually (I am European)! It was really beautiful, don’t forget to visit Geneva and its lake (/Lac Leman) and the picturesque towns surrounding it (like Nyon, I really liked that town) when you get to go😊
Is Mount Olympus hard to climb for someone who never hiked before? And should you visit Sparta?
Cool Name mount Olympus is average difficulty. If you have good physical condition you should be able to make it. Sparta as a city is not worth it, but is very close to very beautiful places of the Peloponnese. So it could be your base to explore the area.

Yes you should visit Sparta. Its my favorite Greek city! It's great! Full of great ancient ruins & the most delicious food and juice. Lakonia orange juice. Yum!
