I’m a chemistry student working on undergrad stuff. I see a lot of similarities between you and I, I also skateboard, guitar, the Will to succeed, etc. often times I question my grind and wonder how I’m going to get through it. But wow, after watching a med student go through their day, I should NOT be complaining anymore! Thanks for giving me a confidence boost! Perspective is key!
Thank you for the comment!! Keep up the good work my friend
Just found this channel. I’m lovin it bro; thanks for sharing! And keep working hard-I know it can get tough, but you’re gonna get through this! 💪🏼💯

Love your videos man. Only a freshman in community college rn, but I hope to be in your shoes soon enough. Keep grinding
Thank you for your words! I went to a community comment for my first two years as well! Keep working hard my friend
@@bencarusomed If you don’t mind me asking, did you take any premed prerequisites at CC or did you do just the gen ed stuff there and wait till the university to do the classes like general and organic chemistry etc? Thank you!
Awesome!!!! Keep up the awesome progress!!!
Appreciate the high quality content
Hey!! this has really motivated me to get up and do all my Anki cards, but I really really want a video from you explaining how you make your cards and what your system is like, I only started using it this year and would love for my cards to look a lot more like yours especially the anatomy ones
Awesome!! Thanks for the comment, I am going to make an anki/study strategy video for my next one!
@@bencarusomed yeaahh definitely needed
Dope video--- I don't miss the smell of anatomy lab!
bro ur a grinder that much anki is crazy! you probably do really well on exams though id guess
Loving the content dude
Thank you brother
Hoping there's other people in the cadaver lab so I'm not in the cadaver lab all alone 🤣😆love it!
woah ben! your subscriber count went way up since I last looked. Huge congrats! The amount of anki youre doing every day I could never haha
Thank you casey!! And yes, its a grind. How are things going for you?
@@bencarusomed pretty good so far. We just finished block 2 (immuno/path/pharm) and now starting our cardio block. This is the block where I really will start using anki religiously!
@@caseyducharme4425 Ooo nice. We are about to start blocks soon. We have a test on monday so that has consumed this whole weekend haha 💀
Awesome job! Keep it up man! ❤
I see high quality content, I subscribe.
Hi Ben! Big fan of your videos.
I have a question! How do you make your Anki Cards (what do you select to put into your flash cards) and how long does it take you to make them? Do you have any advice on new anki users?
Thanks!
great vid :)
Keep it a good work always..
keep it up brother, if you have any advices for studying and actually learn more effective please share. Thank you
Thank you so much and will do on my next one !
Oww i love the content seems motivational keep going futur Dr
U look so much like mister bean 😭😭 like the blond version of him specially the okhhhh when u free up ur space 🤣😭😭
Bruhhh lol
Awesome vlogs, seems very busy but also very motivating
It's so busy but also so fun! Thank you for your support
What do your weekends look like? Do you normally get time off? How much sleep do you average in the week?
After you watch the lecture videos do you feel like you have a good understanding or is it the anki cards that help you learn the material? Or is it something eles lol
O Caruso parou de bater no Chris e cresceu na vida 😂
Thanks for inspo (freshman undergrad premed)
well, i here on my finals week on watching this.
I really enjoyed chanel❤❤❤
What are the anki cards? Are they just flash cards or are they like quiz questions? Or both? Also how do you have time for these vlogs lolol
I drink sugar free Red Bull also. It’s way better than the full loaded sugar ones.
So much sugar in those bad boys
I would be burnt out by the end of the year
Don't you guys read ! Books ?
What app do you use for case based questions?
I can't study with anki ! I learn them directly from the book like I learn the entire classification of all the drugs from a book but when I tried anki I got really confused could you guide us on how to use it ?
did you make your own flashcards? were they provided?
we have the same green anki remote!!!
Lets goooo. Its so nice i love it
I WISH I CAN AFFORD TO STUDY MEDICINE TOO 😢
this is literally what my days look like... all med students live the same life lol
I just want to ask if the Anki flash cards you use them do you do it by yourself or already done previously from others
I use Anki hub! I am actually going to release a video about this next week
Hey man amazing vid!! From where and how do you get so many of these anki flashcards, would be really helpful if you could share them.
I get them from ankihub! I can post a link on my next vlog!!
@@bencarusomed Thanks, please do, It’d be very helpful for us.
For sketchy pharmacology first watch bnb vedios to get an idea then sketchy vedios then unsuspend sketchy pharma deck cards Anking have their deck cards at the end ?
Or first watch sketchy pharma vedios then bnb and then unsuspend bnb cards at the end?
Which way is more better to go for?
I say BnB for understanding then sketchy for memorizing. Thats worked pretty well for me. But i dont always use sketchy, just for things that are really hard to memorize
Thanks for your kind reply!
One thing do u guys use uworld sooner or later like first finish FA then start doing uworld or just finish particular system in FA then go for Uworld likewise?
How long does it take to become doctor in the us i started at 2017 as well and were done this year 2023 from Denmark by the way
4 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school, residency depends on the specialty but 3-7 years.
As an attending, I lead an 85 hour week minimum and I am *way* older than you folks in your 20s. Are either sane or healthy? No. But we do it.
And we wonder why healthcare workers are callous
And healthcare is still problematic literally killing hundreds of thousands of Americans per year in medical error. Shit show!!
You shouldn’t have to do that though. That’s one of the reasons burnout rates are so high in medicine-over working medical workers.
What is the point to this comment
Can you elaborate on the "no notetaking" strategy?
I would be very interested in hearing about this as well.
Sure, I can speak on it in my next VLOG (:
what is the new strategy of taking notes that you mentioned?
Yeah! A couple people asked about it, so im going to show it on my next vlog (:
@@bencarusomed thank you
Do you usually make your own anki cards?
No, I use a couple different decks. One from a 2nd year student at my school, on from Anki Hub (AnKing), and one from UMichigain for cadavers!
Sorry you have to deal with the ridiculous “training “ from people who have the backward mentality of…”we had it worse”. The medical system and training in the USA is broken…10 minute appointments all day long. Good luck and I hope you’re strong enough to be part of the solution not a continuation of the problem.
where did you do undergrad?
Eastern Washington University
Woahhh wait im a wsu nursing student
Go cougs
lol i cover my laptop camera too
Art content >>> Anki content plz
Bro, if you’re working that hard you’re doing something wrong😂. Pick up pickleball or something. It’s all pass/no pass. Relax
