Do you want to swap carbs to fix the problem you have now? Let's back track a bit. Did the problem just happen by itself or after you did something to the carb?. The symptom sounds like a small air leak. Idle it to normal and see how it runs with the choke on. If better then most likely an air leak. Make sure the clamp on the intake boot is really tight. 2nd likely cause is plugged idle jet. If you take it out, It has very tiny holes and if you hold it up to a light, you can see through it. I like to always try the easy stuff first.
I have the same carburetor I'm trying to put on my 89 foreman. (They dont make the oem anymore.) But my threads on the carburetor for the throttle is smaller than my throttle cable male stud. It even came with a throttle cable and is the same thing. Any idea?

It's still working the only problem I've seen for some of them it's you can let set to long with E10 in them or it will gell up but the way they fixed that problem you got to run the vent from the carb to the top of the gas tank so no oxygen get in the flutbul but you do have to leave a gas tank vint
Yeah I was just testing out the cheep parts to see if they was any good a lot of time iv used a cheep carb and put the OEM jets in it all the parts I put in that wheeler was cheep parts off eBay and it worked good all but the key switch went out
@@DustinLansdell it was interesting when you said in the video about changing out the jets. Never thought of that. I might try a cheap carb and a oem carb repair kit and just change out everything. It would still be cheaper than a brand new oem carb

Got two 10 mm bolts in the front and a little strap at the back and pull the fuel knob off it's got one Phillips screw in the center of it

What would I need to do if I put a Trx 500 carb on my 450? It runs just idling real high and kills when u drop the idle
never tried that but i bet its the low speed jet is to big for the 450 engine too much fuel so at low idle its flooding

Well it should just come out right there behind it if you got that plastic piece under the gas tank it should set in it

Yeah that's what I always do this gas we got these days its hard to keep a OEM carb working good 👍
