From "The Office": an American television mockumentary sitcom broadcast on NBC. The look of fear on Jim’s face when he saw that the doors were chained is something that will never fail to be funny.
That part always bothered me, if Dwight was in the snowman the whole time how did He lock it? The only explanation is that he did it beforehand which means Jim would have noticed on his way out the front door which would have immediately told him that Dwight was up to something and he wouldn't have gone outside

Honestly, Jim hurling a snowball at Dwight’s face and refusing to apologize was too far. He deserved the subsequent torture.

As much as I enjoy Jim's pranks, it's nice to see them backfire once in a while.

Man we all constantly laugh at Dwight for his crazy antics, but let’s be honest: he is SCARY AF with that mallard-secret pen affair.
Yeah that was the scary part, not the assaulting a coworker, even while he was down.
@@Simqer dude, it was snow. And it’s something we can expect from Dwight since it was Jim who started it. What is scary about the pen story is his expression and most of all, the lenghts he would go for something that stupid. And let's consider his levels of paranoia.

What I'm pointing out is that it was the espionage that tipped off Halyke that Dwight isn't the nicest of people, not the staging an ambush and then to assault a coworker
@Halyke, I'm guessing you haven't been hit with a proper and nicely compressed snowball. Those things hurt, even just the normal ones will hurt if you get smashed on your face. Moreover he was hitting him repeatedly with force from above. I mean, they won't injure you much, but they might leave you bruises and a nosebleed is quite possible.
@@Simqer I remember back in the old days when us kids would throw snowballs at each other and our parents didn't care. --- Really Dad? That sounds so barbaric! A person might have been seriously injurrrred with a bruise!!! Glad we live today, when people have sense and most riots are peaceful.
I love how Dwight automatically assumed that he and Pam were gonna be stuck in the lift for hours, even though they were only “stuck” for less than 30 seconds.
Well Dwight came prepared anyways, that Camelbak would become very handy when stuck in an elevator.
Establishing pee corners is very important in emergency situations.

I think it’s funny that because he was mashing the buttons is the reason the elevator would have emergency braked.
One of my favorites that sadly didn’t make this list is Dwight using Jim’s credit card to buy Pam flowers
I would rank Dwight's credit card prank right behind Jim's "bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica" prank.
I don't understand that prank, like, who got pranked? Neither did Dwight lose anything or got messed with, nor Jim or Pam
@@Meyus_ Dwight used Jim's credit card to buy Pam flowers that cost 250 bucks. Pam was happy, Dwight celebrated a rare victory and Jim brooded over having to pay off the $250.
@@Meyus_ Jim was out 250 dollars but he couldn't call out Dwight on it (as he intended), as he then had to admit to Pam he didn't buy her the flowers she was so happy about.
Loved that move from Dwight.
I love the way Dwight stands on Jim after throwing snowballs at him, yells in victory, then runs away like a troll that lives under a bridge 😂
I actually think the Stanley prank is funnier without the reveal that Dwight and him are tricking Jim. Stanley having a weirdly obscure sense of humour just makes sense to me.
He is a man of... Unique tastes. Inboth pranks and "art."
Honestly, I don't think that prank really backfired that much in general. Jim got what he needed and Dwight and Stanley got meatballs lol
They could both be true, started out as a joke that he liked, then created the scam afterwards.

I think most people forget how good Kevin is with circus boards. Being able to manipulate that elevator’s circus board was amazing work of genius.

A lot of people say Jim could have saved face with Charles if he just said he had an important dinner he had to go to straight after work and had no time to get ready.

I think Charles was the one person who saw though Jim and his pranks and saw Dwight for how smart and hard working he was..

@@Blackman19498 Everyone knows Dwight is smart and hardworking but Jim gets the work done and still manages to stay lighthearted. A good boss wouldn't look down on an employee for something like that. Both Jim and Dwight are unorthodox employees behaviourally but both do great at their job. Either Charles disciplines both for their attitude around the office, or he should let both of it slide as long as the work is done. Charles was a terrible boss for criticizing only one and failing to see that Jim was a great employee despite his attitude (again lets not forget Dwight's attitude is horrible too and that's what makes it unfair)
Andy's phone prank didn't backfire in my opinion, it worked flawlessly
It worked, but from Jim's reaction, Andy punching a hole in the wall isn't the kind of reaction he was going for.
It turning out nicely is very different from working flawlessly
Actually Andie calling it straight as it was - "Stealing people's stuff and hiding them isn't funny" makes it backfire. I mean its not a prank if its a crime. Andy could have ruined Jim's life and career both if he took it seriously.
@@liboud22 He did take it seriously. He just didn't know the correct way to handle it, and opted for punching a hole in the wall
i mean pranks are meant to be funny for both parties to an extent or at least just mildly annoying. If Andy had broken into tears, I am sure Jim would have felt the same way

Michael wasn't the problem, it was Toby. Toby took all of Dwight's complaints and stuffed them in a box under his desk. He NEVER escalated a bankers box full of Dwight's complaints of harassment from Jim to corporate.

After Dwight’s rightly served retaliation this could have been an opportunity for the show to address Jim’s excessive targeted pranking at Dwight and Dwight’s over the top attempts at things like safety(See fire safety episode).
The snowball prank was the absolutely best revenge. Jim could not topped that. Dwight won the war with that one.

The only possible (and logical) reason might be that Pam needed to make sure the volume was up etc. Jim couldn't check/set up because he sat right in front of Andy. Who knows though? 🤔

@bo rick it's like wearing a ball gown to work. There is a very distinct cultural and stylistic different between the two, especially to people in the business world who are familiar with both
@bo rick definitely taking off the bowtie would help. But tuxedo shirts are of a finer weave than most business casual shirts and the pants are ESPECIALLY noticeable, being an entirely different cut, fit, elasticity, and not to mention, having an obvious satin strip down the leg

I'm not even an English/American person, but I can tell only from series and movies how strong the meaning of wearing a tuxedo, as opposed to a regular working suit, is. It's as misplaced as wearing a McDonald's employee jacket when serving food at a 5 stars restaurant. Their design is also entirely different, taking off the bowtie would just be weirded imo. Like, you're wearing a tuxedo suit at work, that's weird enough, and you didn't put the bowtie on ? It raises even more questions.

back in the day us kids would have snow ball fights. i promise that a snowball to the face hurts, it hurts so much that it would be hard for that situation to not escalate in a split second, especially if you were sitting indoors, at your desk lol. i love this show but jims snow ball is out of character, he would never be that cruel

🤷♂️ Most scenes of Dwight in the office are of him being rude to everyone else. Personally, I'd say Dwight is more of the office bully.
Best prank not included here? Jim and Pam deciding to let Dwight in on a prank against an office visitor hinting to Dwight that he should cover the toilet seat with plastic wrap when the visitor goes to the bathroom. Dwight gets sooo excited but misinterprets the message only to jump the visitor and instead wraps his head with plastic wrap, almost suffocating him, at the same time yelling "I know what to do, I know what to do!" It's Dwight at his psychopathic best!
"I know what to do, I know what to do!" has now become a war-cry in our family.

I'm gonna be honest I don't like Jim as a character so seeing his pranks backfire makes me really happy. Honestly the snowball thing went too far, he could've just ignored Dwight's comments instead of throwing something in his face. It's not even a prank honestly, just reacting immatruely. Dwight paying that back tenfold and making his point about how painful a snowball can be was hilarious. I was actually cackling when he texted "maybe you should put some ice on it"
Frankly, Dwight is no more righteous a character than Jim throughout the series, and especially in this episode. They're both immature

It’s so satisfying seeing Jim humbled my Charles. Good to know his childish antics doesn’t impress everyone.
Not included:
Andy opens his drawer to find an item in Jell-o and he flips out, causing Jim to become very interested in his work, shaking his head at the camera.
Also, the prank war when Andy tells them they will lose their bonus if caught pranking.
Jim loudly gives his credit card number to Dwight, setting him up, but Dwight uses it to buy hundreds of dollars' worth of flowers for Pam. In return, Dwight claims Jim put a porcupine in his drawer, but Jim gets him to tell Animal Control the porcupine's name ("Henrietta").
Imagine Andy looking at his missed calls when he got his phone back. Jim kinda sucks.

Seriously! I get they're normally really rude to one another and really inconsiderate, but who the hell sings that loud in an office place with other people working? It was honestly a really harmless prank too, he could've called his own phone and followed the sound (eventually leading it to the ceiling boards and just collecting his phone)
Realistically, you could make the argument that ALL of the office pranks are too far when you realize they almost always ended in someone upset. I feel it could've just been ended very quickly without anyone getting hurt if someone just asked him to stop. Jim always makes something into a prank.
Jim could've told that he just came from his relatives wedding that was going all night and he didn't have any time to change clothes. It's both convincing and would show that he is serious and dedicated about his work. Instead he gave a weird fucking rant about Dwight and made whole thing awkward.

It was nice to see Jim get his comeuppance from Dwight. Dwight may have only got one in the whole show, but it was a doozy and seriously broke Jim a bit upstairs.
