Blonde angelic singer is named Agnetha.Red haired spicy girl is Anni-Frid or for Abba fans our Frida.Agnetha shines here on the lead.Another Spanish flavoured one is FERNANDO with Frida on the lead which is also Abba's best seller single up to now with over 10 million copies sold that was also recorded in Spanish.

A huge classic from 1979 and also a MASSIVE hit in Latin America that managed phenomenal sales there when recorded by the band in Spanish. This is considered an anthem in those territories up to nowadays.

You will struggle to find better voices then the abba ladies that combine perfectly to sound like one, especially in abba choruses.
The Spanish version is heavenly as well with Frida and Agnetha working hard on the Spanish pronunciations that really paid off. Indeed they recorded a whole album in Spanish.
English version got to No 2 in the U.K. singles chart in 1979.

@@m.menneke8513 What are you talking about!?! Both of their voices are amazing and equally good from what I've heard from them because I'm not their greatest fan and also I have a right on my own opinion!

I'm so glad to see you again with another great reaction to ABBA songs of my request
several things to say about "Chiquitita" (1979)
Chiquitita" means 'little girl' (with affection) in spanish And the melody have a spanish tune, specialy by the acustic guitar But the center is the wonderful piano, like almost all ABBA songs
"Chiquitita" is a beautiful song, it has hopeful lyrics, a melody that starts very soft with the blonde Agnetha's solo, then grows and explodes in a powerful chorus; Agnetha & Frida's vocal harmonies are of excellence
It allows us to check how excellent singers Agnetha & Frida are and what harmonies of excellence they achieve. It stands out especially when they stretch the monosyllables with great quality and beauty
"Chiquitita" was premiered especially for the UNICEF Concert (January 9, 1979, just 44 years ago!) and its royalties are eternal for UNICEF
"Chiquitita" was ABBA's greatest success in Latin America, that prompted ABBA to record it in Spanish, and its success was so extraordinary that in the following year ABBA recorded a full album with their best songs entirely in Spanish
("Chiquitita" in Spanish is the biggest ABBA hit in My country Argentina)
Chiquitita" is in the Top 3 of all ABBA worldwide biggest hits, with 'Dancing Queen" and "Fernando", and it's a fantastic Masterpiece
These is an official video filmed in Swizterland 1979 (ABBA goes for a TV Special)
It's the only promotional video that ABBA made without Sweden
I hope to see you soon with more ABBA songs
I think that "Fernando" (1976) with the brunette singer Frida in lead voice, could be fantástic, so You could see all the voices un ABBA
I wish you a great weekend
    My best regards from

You might try " "I let the music speak" or "Andante Andante " both with Freda in the lead or "My Love my Life" with Agnetha. Best live.

A vastly underrated ABBA song is "I am the City". A great song about being a city? It has to be heard to be believed. I would be interested in what you think.

ABBA collectively make it work as four not just Agnetha. Try Fernando or Knowing Me Knowing You for a Frida lead to hear her range. Too many pauses though, you dont have to pause that often it spoils the reaction.

Yes. I don't understand how someone can get the feel of a song when they keep pausing it every 2 seconds.

    • @thehardyway
      @thehardyway  Před rokem +2

I have to do the pauses to make sure the video doesn't get blocked, I wish I could just listen to the whole song, so I apologise for the cuts but unfortunately they are necessary

WOW......"BIG mistake, the "Blond One" is Agnetha, she is just one quarter of ABBA and not the main contributor. Benny (the bearded one) wrote the music, Bjorn the one who doesn't have a beard wrote the lyrics and Anni-frid (Frida) is the other main vocalist and a firm favourite with alot of abba fans, you should listen to other tracks from abba where Frida is the main vocalist, she's just as good if not better with her vocal range as Agnetha.
I saw them live in London at Wembley Arena in 1979 Frida knows how to entertain while Agnetha is more reserved, but they are both integral to Abba's success in equal measures.
