- Director Ranjith Resigned : ചലച്ചിത്ര അക്കാദമി ചെയർമാൻ സ്ഥാനം സംവിധായകൻ രഞ്ജിത്ത് രാജിവെച്ചു. ബംഗാളി നടി ഉന്നയിച്ച ആരോപണം വിവാദമായ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലാണ് നടപടി. നേരത്തെ രഞ്ജിത്ത് ആരോപണം നിഷേധിച്ചിരുന്നു. വിവാദങ്ങളുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ പ്രതിച്ഛായക്ക് കളങ്കമേൽക്കാതിരിക്കാനാണ് രഞ്ജിത് ഈ തീരുമാനമെടുത്തതെന്ന് അടുത്ത വൃത്തങ്ങൾ അറിയിച്ചു.
Director Ranjith has resigned from the position of Chairman of the Film Academy. The resignation comes in the context of the controversy surrounding allegations raised by a Bengali actress.
